The hospitality is not warmth as compared to other Taj. Services are no were close to Taj standards. House keeping takes At least 30 mins to deliver. Asked for bubble bath and they sent un water glass after following up 3 times. Buggy takes eternity. Food is very very average. They don’t have buffet system for breakfast or dinner. So you can’t enjoy as much as you enjoy as a buffet experience. Need to order alcarte so options become limited and y end up wasting lot of food as you order everything individually. Taste wise also food is not that great. Just property is good and nothing else is good about Taj Exotica

I do not understand how people have given such high ratings at the 1st place. This place is an over priced nightmare! The staff are extremely inefficient. The villa is boiling hot, 2 airconditioners that do not work. And when I called the reception to complain, the girl who answered just said certainly sit and cut the call. I called again and again and the answer was the same. I even asked what does certainly mean and she replied with certainly sir and cut the call. The dury manager looks completely lost and I think that is a huge set back for this place. Standards of Taj hotels have certainly gone really low in these recent years and being a TAJ Gold member is only an added burden I guess. The Taj Innercircle membership is anyway the most useless and unrewarding program ever. Being a gold member with a different hotel brand, one definitely gets more respected but with Taj they just don't care. Especially here at this hotel. The TAJ Exotic Nightmare!

We stayed at the Taj Exotica for two weeks in January 2024 Overall the resort has much to commend it; the pick up and return arrangements to and from the ferry is well ***aged and the greeting on arrival is a very sweet. The rooms are large and well appointed (if a little tired) and the room servicing is excellent. The location of the hotel amid the trees and ***groves combined with beautifully maintained gardens gives the place a serene and peaceful quality as well as some great bird watching opportunities. The hotel team are helpful and friendly and work quickly to try and remedy and issues. On the minus side, for us the pool was not great; surround by trees, much of it was in the shade for much of the time and the water was cold. The decking around the pool was ‘patchworked’ and in need of further attention if it is to meet the high standard of luxury associated with Taj Exotica hotels. We were also disappointed that one of the two restaurants on site (the Mexican restaurant by the pool) was ‘off limits’ a number of times because it was being used by conference guests. Not helpful when the only place to eat in the area are on site unless you have transport. With regard to the food we felt it was adequate rather than good. The choice at the breakfast buffet was limited and not what we expected given previous experience of Taj in India. For example often the only fresh fruit juice option was cucumber water, or watermelon. The evening menu in was extensive but although it offered Italian options all of the meals were spiced and often unrecognizable. We didn’t partake of wine with our meals because it was far too expensive with even a beer costing £10. The local gin at about £4 a measure was often not available leaving Tanquary at £10 per shot. The beach was beautiful although some distance from any amenities and the very friendly and helpful beach guys worked hard to keep us supplied with water as there is no facility close to the beach. The biggest issue for us was at the beach. On the day of arrival were told by the beach guys that we shouldn’t go into the ocean because of strong currents. A few days later we learned the truth – that there is a problem in the area with saltwater crocodiles. Nobody in the whole two weeks was allowed into the surf, let alone, the ocean itself. Lifeguards blowing whistles and pulling people out the surf was an every day occurrence. We learned that the crocodiles had become endangered in the area and so the government had implemented a successful recovery programme. Crocodile population has now increased to around 500. A conservation rescue with unintended consequences! We did try an alternative beach but it was dirty, full of plastics and not at all like the beautiful untouched Radhanager Beach next to the Taj. Added to this ‘water based problem’ was the local law about diving and snorkelling. We learned, on arrival, that both of these activities are outlawed for people over the age of 60

Ups and Downs. Communications within the team and towards the guests is to be improved: -not all team members at front desk / reservations are up to date about pre-arrival communication and agreements with guests = misunderstandings happen! -service times of RoomService (food) do not match the actual Restaurant working times = not all items on Room Service menu available at all time (no mentioning of it in the menu) = not 5 star standard (24hours availability / clear timings of what can be ordered when and what not) -timing of kitchen / service is the biggest problem: Food / main courses do not arrive in time or as it should be simultaneously (partner got his main course, my came 20 minutes later // waiting for Orange Juice at breakfast 26 minutes - this was corrected the following day, thank you). -Food quality is excellent and chefs are great--but timing timing timing when to send what and where are not sorted out and not 5 Star level. The prices that are called for Food are though! -Excellent: excursions with the naturalists, highly recommendend. to mention: Uday and especially Indrajit! Huge knowledge about area and nature! Taj, keep them and promote them! -Amazing: Beach and team at Beach = paradise! -Rooms: Big Villas. To improve: check amenities! Missing Razor / Shaving gel etc (5 Star Standard). -Design of Villas: charming, but: -missing a table / destop to properly eat / work - missing a 2nd toilet given the size of space there is - missing a fully stocked Mini Bar (5 Star Standard). -Design: with the use of wood also in the wet areas comes a feeling of "not clean", as the wood on the floor in the shower and toilet wears down pretty quick due to the exposure of water. Maintenance must be hard. Can´t change that. -Team and Front office tried to accomodate all my suggestions / complaints, pretty well. Still: communication is the key and needs to be improved. All in all: very nice stay. When we come back, we hope that some of the issues will have improved.

Had the most amazing time at Taj Exotica.. The staff was extremely hospitable. Special call out to Abhishek and Manoharath for being great hosts and making us feel at home. Taj Exotica is several cuts above the rest and definitely one of the best properties we have ever holidayed in. We loved the fantastic food,the breathtaking view of the sea, the scenic pool, the clean n fabulous cottages . Overall it was a wonderful experience for the entire family and we look forward to our next stay with the Taj group of hotels.

The property is located at one of the most pristine beaches in the world and to top it up there is Taj’s hospitality, No one beats the hospitality given by them. From entire checkin to support is amazing. Mahindra & Prasenjit went a mile a head to setup a perfect dinner for our anniversary at Shoreline restaurant.

It was a great experience staying at Taj Exotica. The place is very quiet and serene. The beach is very clean and maintained. It's in the middle of nature. The hospitality at Taj is just unmatched. Taj Exotica Resort and spa is truly a paradise on earth nestled right on the pristine Radha Nagar Beach. We selected this property for our Anniversary celebration and we were overwhelmed with the special arrangements done by the team and the soveneir is extremely beautiful with the beautiful moment captured in it. One of the ***y highlights of our stay at Taj Exotica Resort in Anda*** was the exceptionally spacious room and the impressively huge bathrooms. From the moment we stepped into our accommodations, we were blown away by the sheer size and luxurious comfort they offered. The room provided ample space to unwind and relax, while the expansive bathrooms were a sight to behold - we've never seen anything quite like them before. The lavish amenities and thoughtful touches made our stay feel indulgent and pampering, adding an extra layer of luxury to our experience. The hospitality displayed by the entire team was exceptional. Every staff member we encountered was warm, welcoming, and eager to assist us in every possible way. The night walk which we took in the forest was one of the most unforgettable experience which we had never experienced in the past. From the moment we landed at the airport to our departure, Abhishek ensured that our transportation needs were met efficiently and comfortably. His professionalism and attention to detail made our travels around the island hassle-free, allowing us to focus on enjoying our vacation. We were also particularly impressed by the resort's commitment to sustainable, eco-friendly initiatives through their Paathya initiative. It was heartening to see a property take proactive steps towards reducing its environmental footprint and promoting sustainability.
