The LaLit Grand Palace Srinagar

Fabulous location, we were welcomed very warmly and the car was valet parked which was important as it was cold and raining. We were offered a warm drink and a comfortable place to sit whilst the formalities of check in were completed. We didn’t even have time to finish our drink before we were offered an upgraded room at no extra cost. WOW! The room was spacious, beautifully dressed and we were shown our own private balcony with the most spectacular view and this was also very nicely furnished. Everything was as we’d hoped and expected, because the hotel is EXPENSIVE, but we received exactly what we paid for. All the staff were attentive, friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the Pandemic has affected everyone and this hotel has had to do it’s best to survive these difficult times. The facilities in the Spa have been cut back to save costs but when we went to use it the place was warmed and treatments were enhanced to ensure we were more than satisfied. Luxury is expensive and we really enjoyed the pampering!!! All I can say is that this hotel and the treatment of their guests is everything you would expect for the price you have to pay. If wehad unlimited money we would stay only here when we visit Kashmir, which I do often to visit family. Even when we do visit family here we often visit the hotel, just to enjoy the gardens and admire the building and the ambience. Although we may not spend one penny on these visits the treatment by the staff has always been the same as we experienced on this visit. One word to describe this hotel FABULOUS.

I went here with my family for my dad’s birthday and subsequently for tea all the days that I was in Srinagar. The views are absolutely stunning, with clear view of Dal Lake and of the mountains surrounding the area. I’d go back here just for the view alone. The staff are very warm too, and did their best to ensure we were taken care of. It was a lovely experience and would definitely recommend going here for a meal, if not stay here.

Was good to dine and relax…..with Srinagar coolness….I really enjoyed myself at Lalit the Grand…..the pulav was so delicious to taste….extremely happy for the tastiest food….the hospitality was so good….ambience was so good….had nice time….thanks

This is a gem of a place with magical surroundings. It has a regal charm that is palpable. The lawns are sprawling and lush. The hotel rooms / suites have a one of a kind view that is tough to beat.One can choose from the usually pricier "old / original", usually larger rooms /suites, or the newer, more modern feeling rooms. The quality of service and food is definitely quite good. It is a great experience to have a meal on the grounds outside overlooking the Dal.lake in the front, and the forested mountains in the backdrop. Have been here innumerable times, and love going here again and again, as have fond memories from here.

Had a memorable stay at LALIT GRAND PALACE, SRINAGAR. We keep comming back to this wonderful place as the ambience, hospitality and overall stay is par excellence.The feel is of staying in a palace. We were there last week from 1st April to 6th April,24. The chauffeur IRSHAAD assigned to us was cherry on cake. He made us explore new places . Guided us well with many new things in Srinagar. His hospitality and politeness and ever eager to take us in new places won our heart. Overall THANKYOU LALIT GRAND PALACE for our wonderful and memorable stay. We want to keep comming back here. What a gorgeous property! Easily the biggest hotel property in Kashmir. Dripping with history and hospitality. Kashmiri cuisine was to die for. I especially enjoyed how compassionate the team was. I needed medicine for my dad's diabetes, and the team got it for us without flinching. Grateful! I love this property! and would go back again and again.

We visited this property while our trip to Kashmir this year.We were staying in Vivanta Dal View hotel and they told up to check this property out as it was the former royal palace of maharaja.We went to have some evening snacks and take a tour of the property.The property area was vast,spread across vast areas and the reception,lobby etc were filled with luxurious upholstery and chandeliers and were truly giving a regal vibe.We were greeted warmly by the front office executive who opted us to do a showround of the property.We found it very good.Then we went for the food and snacks at their all day dining restaurant.All the f and b associates were polite and helpful and they even accomodated our request of kolkata kathi roll which was not their menu,to be served to us.This was very good gesture from them and is very much appreciated.We went back happy and full after throughly exploring the property.

Excellent service. Especially by Mr Thrideep. Took care of guests and catered to every need. Beautiful place and lovely food. Had a great stay which was made really comfortable with the helpful and caring staff. Surely would advise for anyone to visit

At Lalit the service done by Anamika has been excellent. The quick response and attention of the staff made the experience easier and pleasant. The ambience and view was spectacular and brightens the overall dining. The food quality and taste was outstanding.
