Zusätzlich zum Zimmerpreis muss ich für Flugtickets auf die Insel zusätzliche Kosten von etwa 20.000 NT$ pro Person zahlen. Vergiss es, soll ich mich einfach mit dem Personal in ein kleines Flugzeug zwängen? Bis auf das Personal, das mich bei meiner Ankunft und Abreise begrüßte, was ich sehr nett fand, war der Rest nur mittelmäßig. Als ich ankam, war das Essen nur mittelmäßig, die Betten waren mittelmäßig und die Zimmer waren mittelmäßig -also. Ich war von den Marketingbildern und -videos angezogen und habe die beiden Dinge erst bemerkt, als ich vor Ort ankam!

Ein unvergessliches Erlebnis mit Service par excellence. Catering nach Ihren Bedürfnissen neu definiert. Ein Muss. Ich liebte meinen Angelausflug, aber auch die kulinarische Reise. Die vielen maßgeschneiderten und À-la-carte-Menüs eignen sich für Allergiker und andere diätetische Einschränkungen. Die Herzlichkeit der Menschen war wie eine Familie. Ein großartiges Abenteuer, das ich mit meiner lieben Familie auf einer malerischen Insel geteilt habe.

Dies ist vielleicht das schlechteste Luxusresort, in dem wir je übernachtet haben: 1. Zu Beginn möchte ich darauf hinweisen, dass wir in der Vergangenheit in 2-3 Ultra-Lux-Hotels (3.000 pro Nacht) übernachtet haben, wie dem Royal Mansoor in Marrakesch und den Roaming Bushtops in der Serengeti. Der Service in beiden war fantastisch und es gab kein Nickel und Dimmen. Es ist erbärmlich, dass die Mitarbeiter von Aman Ihr Zimmer für die allgemeine Verwendung von Haargummis im Fitnessstudio in Rechnung stellen. 2. Es ist eine private Insel mit Schwerpunkt auf Wasseraktivitäten. Fast alle Wasseraktivitäten wurden während unseres 5-tägigen Aufenthalts jeden Tag mit einer allgemeinen WhatsApp-Nachricht abgesagt, die jeden Morgen vom Management gesendet wurde. In einem Fall tauchten wir in unserer Badebekleidung in ihrem Wassersportzentrum für eine geplante Veranstaltung (Veranstaltung an ihrer schwimmenden Bar) auf und teilten uns dann mit, dass sie vergessen hatten, uns mitzuteilen, dass sie abgesagt wurde. 3. Das Essen war einfach miserabel. Der Küchenchef machte schlechte Zutaten und eine schlechte philippinische Gastfreundschaftskultur dafür verantwortlich. Eines ihrer Gerichte, ein Jackfruit-Curry, bestand aus rohen Jackfruits mit intakten Samen und Kürbispüree aus der Dose. Sie hatten einen Saag Panner auf ihrer Speisekarte. Wir bestellen es zweimal für den Zimmerservice Versuch 1: Sie schickten uns Mungobohnen mit Thunfisch Versuch 2: Sie schickten uns gedämpften Spinat, rohe Gewürze und einige Käsestücke. 4. Sie haben die Regel „keine Ausnahme, pünktlicher Check-out um 12:00 Uhr“, wenn der einzige Weg von der Insel über einen Flug um 15:00 Uhr führt. Wir saßen mehr als 3 Stunden im Welcome Center (lesen Sie die Hotellobby) fest. Und eine Flugverspätung hat uns gekostet. Ihr Lobbytee kostete 18 Dollar pro Stück. 4. Sogar der Service an ihrer Shuttle-Basis in Manila war schrecklich. Sie luden mein Gepäck auf den Van eines anderen und schickten es fast in den Äther. Ich musste hinter den Lieferwagen laufen, um diese Katastrophe abzuwenden. Wir hatten ein Auto zum Flughafentransfer inklusive, aber als wir um eine 3-stündige Nutzung baten, da wir Zeit zum Töten hatten, schlugen sie eine Gebühr von 300 Dollar vor. Nichts in Manila sollte 300 Dollar kosten. Es ist nicht Paris.

Wir verbrachten 4 Nächte auf dieser magischen Insel. Wir waren schon auf vielen Inseln auf der ganzen Welt und dies ist eine der besten. Das Meer ist so blau und der weiße Sand ist pudrig und weich. Unsere Strand-Casita liegt privat versteckt im üppigen tropischen Garten mit Blick auf den Strand von unserem Zimmer. Wir sehen kaum andere Gäste und wir hatten das Gefühl, die Insel gehört uns. Der Service ist erstklassig und wir wurden überall mit Namen begrüßt. Sie erinnerten sich an alles, was wir mochten, und wir mussten nicht einmal erneut danach fragen. Wir verbrachten einen Tag im Spa mit einem privaten Yoga-Kurs und einer Massage, die ausgezeichnet war. Der private Strandgrill ist ein Muss. Sie hatten einen Live-Gitarristen, der Liebeslieder für uns sang. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder hier übernachten.

Beautiful Island with the most amazing beach and great service. The staff attended to our every detail and were available 24/07. The hotel sits on its own island with its own airport. However, the property was little outdated and the prices were just too much. I would go to Maldives for better hotels

Overall the resort which resides on it's own private island is spectacular. The private flight from Manilla takes about one hour on a prop plane. The beaches are immaculate with fine white sand and the ocean is calm and inviting. Each guest accommodation comes with a golf cart which is needed to get around to the various venues. Surprisingly the interior roads are not paved and depending on the weather are either dusty or muddy. Although the resort is evidently about 30 years old we thought is was much newer. The resort has three distinctly different restaurants and the food quality is excellent. The only issue we had with the restaurants is that they never show you a bill, or have you sign off on what you ordered. The day prior to our departure I asked to see a printout of our charges and sure enough there were errors on several of the restaurant charges. The resort didn't dispute the errors and were cordial in their approach but I would personally prefer to be presented with a bill for review each time. The resort offers snorkeling off their boat each morning at 9:00 AM for about an hour but surprisingly does not offer it any other time during the day. You can however find snorkeling sites from the shore. However unfortunately much of the coral off the shore has suffered from bleaching. Aside from the few issues mentioned we were pleased with our experience and would highly recommend this resort.

It’s sort of difficult to know how to rate Amanpulo, because the experience is really all about the absolutely spectacular location, more so than the hotel itself. I’ve rated it 5 stars, but it’s more like a 6/5 on location and a 4/5 for the hotel. That’s not to say the hotel isn’t nice, it’s just not at the standard of some of the other Amans. It’s starting to show a bit of wear and tear, and the rooms in particular could stand to be modernised a bit. There seemed to be bits and pieces of renovation going on around the property (2 of the tennis courts for example were closed during my stay, with a big construction mess on them), but it would be much better if they just closed the hotel and did a proper job on what’s now a 30 year old hotel. If done well, it could easily be one of the best hotels in the world. My random gripes about the hotel in no particular order: 1. The main pool closes at 6pm, which is a huge shame not to mention ridiculously early. It’s also totally unlike the other Amans I’ve been to, which let you use the pool whenever you want. As long as you’re not making a lot of noise and disturbing other guests, I don’t see what the issue is with letting guests use the pool at any time. 2. They really should offer at least one more flight option rather than only to and from Manila, for guests that want to continue exploring the Philippines without a round trip back to their starting point. An option to fly to El Nido or Cebu for example would be a huge convenience. 3. Breakfast stops at a pretty early 10am, and their snorkelling activity takes place at 9am, meaning if you want to do it and have breakfast too you need to get up early - why? They should offer the option to snorkel in the afternoon as well, or else just do it at 11am so guests can have breakfast first. 4. Very old blinds in the rooms which were weirdly difficult to open and close - and even with all the windows closed, the metal chord on one of them repeatedly swayed back and forth against the wall, making noise unless I held it in place with a pillow. They should really have automated shades which you control with a button (I’m aware this is the literal definition of first world problems) 5. I asked twice a day whether I could take a trip to Manamoc, and was repeatedly told it wasn’t possible due to weather conditions (which was sort of bizarre as the weather was very calm). When I was told the weather was finally good enough, they said the boat was then booked so I couldn’t go, which made no sense as I had been asking non-stop since my arrival to do the trip. They did finally accommodate me - but they charged me for a picnic basket which I never had, and 3 crew members which is a huge overkill - just 1 to drive the boat is all that’s necessary. So the trip to Manamoc, which is incredible and a real must in my opinion, was extremely expensive. I’d recommend staying in one of the beach casitas - I moved from a hillside one (37), to a beach one (10) and though

We last came here 27 years ago. It hasn't changed at all beyond the addition of some villas and places to eat. Beach still picture postcard perfect and largely empty. Water perfection. Staff amasing. Food very good. Nice spa. BTW, note to self. #19.

Where to start, I visisted Amanpulo with my girlfirend from the 12-16th of feb this year and my experience was beyond anything I'd imagine. The beach, the service, the food were heaven on earth. Aman you nailed it once again. Special thanks to Glen, Gerald, Rudy and Claire you guys were simply amazing as all the rest of course. If you want to dip into the world's best sea and white sands you must visit Amanpulo.
