Dreams Acapulco Resort & Spa - All Inclusive

I am UVC member and wanted to visit the Dreams resort in Acapulco because of the location, despite having read some unfavorable reviews. It is actually not a resort but a normal sized hotel with all-inclusive. It is a bit old, but with good materials and well kept, similar to the Emporio hotel which is close. There are limited dining options which are not open all days (and were not open even the days it said they were to be open on the Hyatt app). The swimming pools are good (for a hotel, not a resort), but there was no reserved area for adults (like they have at hotel Emporio, which makes a huge difference) and some people bring their own music speakers (there was no mention of this being prohibited). The best is to walk and swim on the beach. The last day of my 3 nights stay I got food poisoned, probably at the seafood restaurant, so I spent the remaking time of my stay close to the toilet and barely managed to get back to CDMX. I have never had any such problems at any other resort or even simple hotels in Mexico, even eating seafood. I noted that some service personnel insisted on using their hands even with a spoon next to them, perhaps it has to do with this, or bad raw materials. I would not recommend anyone visiting this hotel before the hotel has completely revised the hygienic procedures.

DO NOT go to this hotel, we got here early and they made us leave until 1:30, horrible guest services , they should let us in at least to use the pool whole we wait, they said we had to $30 a person if we want to use the pool

I love history in a town, resort, hotel when I travel. Dreams Resort has that and more. Entering the lobby gives one a feeling of grandeur. The staff is always available, restaurants plenty, room always clean. I don’t speak a word of Spanish; it worked! We loved our stay.

Acapulco is magical. Everything about the city makes me feel welcome and at home. The people are friendly and the food is always 10/10. The service at dreams was outstanding and the renovations really gave it a more modern touch to a classic hotel. The location is great as it is central and right on the costera, but also close to the high end bars and restaurants in las brisas and the diamanté. I loved every minute of my experience in Acapulco and I will be going back again very soon. I highly recommend everyone to go at least once!

Spent 1 great week in Acapulco at Dreams Acapulco and Spa. Booked the Preferred Club Deluxe Ocean View room. Great hotel with good service and staff. In addition to the usual resort facilities, the Preferred Club included private concierge services, private lounge with daily meals and snacks, & fine liquors. Huge oceanfront room. Private area by the pool and beach. Well worth the extra money. Concierge staff in particular Cesar Ortiz and Elizabeth Garcia were excellent and totally client-focussed. They added significantly to this memorable experience. Can't wait to return.
