Information (important, please be sure to read: Additional information about the prices etc. that you accept with your inquiry at fewo, following the occupancy calendar) about our holiday home, about free times and prices, about the Twistesee and the surrounding area:Surrounded by extensive forests of the Waldeck holiday region, you will find the Twistesee near Bad Arolsen, one of the cleanest German reservoirs. It is located around 40 km west of Kassel between Bad Arolsen in the west, Volkmarsen in the northeast and Wolfhagen in the east. The holiday park is located above the Twistestausee, a relaxation paradise for families in summer and winter. The walk to the lake is about 5 minutes.You spend your vacation in your own house in the middle of the forest with a covered terrace and lawn. The house is furnished for 6 people. On the ground floor there is a living room with dining area and kitchen (fridge, electric stove with oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster), bedroom with double bed and bathroom. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms with 2 beds each. There are TV (satellite system) in the living room and lower bedroom, Internet, patio furniture, barbecue, cot and high chair at your disposal.Bed linen, hand and tea towels are to be brought along.Tourist:Around the main part of the Twistesees leads a 7 km long cycle path, which is asphalted or gravel. Numerous trails in the woods invite you to hike and jog. Water ski athletes can use a water ski system installed in the reservoir. It is possible to sail the lake with rubber, paddle and pedal boats. A lido was created on the shore, which you can use free of charge. On the east bank there is a large lawn for sunbathing, a nudist meadow and a closed area for model ship boats. There is a nine-hole golf course on the mountain slopes that adjoin the west bank. There is also the holiday park Twistesee with mini golf course, playground, tennis court and volleyball court. If the weather is not so nice, visit the Arobella water park in Bad Arolsen (approx. 3 km). Restaurants are located in the park (approx. 300 m) and in Wetterburg (approx. 1 km). Baroque castle Bad Arolsen (approx. 3 km).Documentary city of Kassel with the Wilhelmshöhe Palace Park, Hercules and Kurhessentherme (approx. 40 km).In the period from April 1st to October 31st the city of Bad Arolsen charges a spa tax in accordance with the applicable statutes. Hiking trails and cycle paths lead you through the beautiful Waldecker Land.Bad Arolsen with its avenues and the magnificent castle, Mengeringhausen with its half-timbered houses, the Edersee or the Diemelsee, everything is easy to reach by bike and hiking trails. The Waldecker Land is the green lung of Hesse, in the middle of Germany. The house is made in beautiful wood construction and is fully equipped. There is a bedroom with a 2x2 mtr. Boxspring bed, 2 bedrooms each with a single bed and in the living room a pull-out sofa bed for 2 persons. On the large terrace, which faces the lake, you can relax while singing the birds and the rustling of the forest. About a small forest path are the Twistesee Rundweg after about 200 meters, the beach with a bistro and caffee after about 400 meters and the boat rental after about 500 meters.The 9-hole golf course with driving range and restaurant is easy to reach from the beach via a road up the hill after about 200 meters.The Waldecker Land with its many cycle paths invites cyclists with its easy and demanding itineraries to a nice tour.Of course, there are also a variety of beautiful hiking trails through the beautiful landscape.Mount bikers in spring, summer and autumn and skiers in winter, find in about 35 km away Willingen everything you need.The house is part of a holiday park with a total of 167 holiday homes.
