Perfekte Lage, große Umgebung, keine Störungen im natürlichen Himmel. Das Hotel selbst ist schön, Atmosphäre und Dekoration. Die Probleme kommen aus dem Zimmer Chambre des Lys, das nicht groß genug für unsere Gedanken für die Nachtrate von 530 EUR ohne Frühstück. Alle verfügbaren Stuhls waren (weit) gefärbt und selbst nach der Forderung keine Änderung oder Deckung, die für ein 5-Sterne-Hotel unbedingt enttäuschend ist. Wir haben eine Terrasse mit großer Aussicht auf den Tal, aber schließlich eine Seite Aussicht, die nicht beeindruckend ist ... Die Terrasse selbst war zu klein, so dass keine Sonnenbäder ....Obwohl Sie sie auf der Website bemerken können, einschließlich auf der untenstehenden Zimmerkategorie Or des Sauges ... so würden Sie eine viel bessere Ausrüstung erwarten ... Das Badezimmer ist gut und sehr geräumig, aber die Wartung kann verbessert werden ; der Duschetappe fehlte ein Deckstück, um die Schrauben zu verstecken. Kein willkommenes Geschenk Obst oder Schokoladebehandlung ... 1 kleine Mineralflasche für 3 Tage ... Essen ist großartig, aber aus irgendeinem Grund wollte ein junger Kellner immer die Platten entfernen, bevor wir unsere Platten fertig gemacht. Frühstück schöne Wahl, schöne Terrasse, Service ok. Nachmittags Tee komplimentar großartig. Insgesamt fühlen Sie sich nie wirklich außergewöhnlich/ausgezeichneter Service und Vip-Behandlung, wie Sie beispielsweise in einigen Pariser Palasts. So wäre es ein 4-Sterne.

Erst einmal vorab, das Hotel und die Außenanlage sind wundervoll, wir konnten uns dort toll entspannen und wirklich super schlafen. Und was passt besser nach einem entspannten und erholsamen Schlaf. Genau, ein tolles Frühstück. Mein glutenfreies Frühstück war ganz unpassend zu meinem vorherigen Eindruck erschreckend schlecht. Ich wusste nicht ob der S*****en, die Marmeladen etc. glutenfrei waren, es wurde nichts gekennzeichnet und es konnte auch niemand so richtig darauf antworten. Das Brot war ungefähr so als würde man einen Karton mit den Zähnen öffnen wollen. Das glutenfreie Körnerbrot wurde ungekühlt gelagert und war damit innen an einzelnen Stellen schimmlig (von außen sah man es nicht, deswegen biss ich auch rein) . Außerdem wurde das Brot am Frühstücksbuffet nicht abgedeckt. In jedem unspektakulären Hotel bekomme ich ein Spiegelei dazu gestellt und frische glutenfreie Brötchen, die in einem verschlossenen Beutel erhitzt werden, also der Kontakt von glutenhaltigen Brot somit unmöglich ist. Ich hatte also ein Stück verschimmeltes Brot mit Butter. Kein glutenfreies Müsli, Ei nur auf Aufpreis. Ich denke bei dem Preis für das glutenfreie Frühstück kann man mit gutem Gewissen das Ei dazu reichen. Dann wollten wir das Mittagsmenü buchen, was wir bekommen haben war die Karte für einzelne Gerichte aber von dem Mittagsmenü keine Spur. Sehr schade, da ist noch Luft nach oben. Für alle die sich nicht glutenfrei ernähren müssen ist alles super, aber für mich weil ich es einfach nicht kann, sehr sehr traurig. Sollte sich das glutenfreie Frühstück verbessern, komme ich gerne wieder.

Wir waren im Juli für ein paar Tage zur Lavendelblüte in der Provence und haben uns als Ausgangspunkt wieder für die Bastide de Gordes entschieden, weil es uns hier schon vor zwei Jahren so toll gefallen hat. Und wir wurden nicht enttäuscht! Der Empfang war sehr herzlich, das Zimmer sehr geschmackvoll mit äußerst bequemen Betten und hervorragender Aussicht. Wenn man zum Sonnenuntergang auf der Terrasse neben einem perfekt gemixten Gin & Tonic auch die sensationelle Aussicht genießt, werden alle Erwartungen erfüllt, die man an eine Reise in die Provence hat. Sehr schön ist auch der Garten mit dem Pool und den überaus bequemen Liegen. Hier und auch in anderen Hotelbereichen ist das Personal sehr freundlich und ausgesprochen hilfsbereit. Im Garten wird man mit Eiscreme und Getränken verwöhnt! Herausragend fanden wir, dass man uns ein ”Frühstück zum Mitnehmen” um 4.00 Uhr morgens bereit gestellt hat, weil wir zum Sonnenaufgang in Valensole sein wollten. Der Cappuccino war heiß und sehr lecker, und die Croissants und das Pain au Chocolat einfach nur göttlich! Chapeau! Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

Le Jas de Gordes is a beautiful property tucked in near Gordes. While we enjoyed our stay, it wasn't what we considered four star quality. The wifi did not work for two of our three nights. The T.V. did not work. The A.C. did not work. Some of the towels in our bathroom were damp upon arrival. Pool is beautiful, but smells like car exhaust from proximity to road. The property itself is quite beautiful, the rooms were underwhelming. If I were to donut again, I would book a room in Avignon and drive into Gordes for a day trip. For the price point we were underwhelmed and frustrated with the amenities that did not work during our stay.
