Nachtwächter) wir fühlten uns sehr wohl & sicher Mängel: - in einigen Bewertungen stand etwas von gratis Fahrrädern (dies war bei uns leider nicht mehr der Fall) - wenig Sonne am Pool - grosse & laute Baustelle gleich neben an (nur Sonntags scheint Ruhetag zu sein), wenn diese dann mal fertig ist (könnte noch etwas dauern) wäre es eine ruhige Gegend

This was not only a beautiful, almost spiritual stay, but you’ll also feel good knowing that the money they make goes to the animal sanctuary which rehabs injured or orphaned animals back into the wild. They also are repopulating the endangered melipona bee. The beds are comfy, the food is nothing short of 5 star quality, the honey is the best I’ve tasted, the cenote is breathtaking. What more could you ask for?

Dieses Hotel würden wir auf jeden Fall wieder buchen!
Und ein Nachbarhotel bietet Yogaklassen an, die wir in Anspruch genommen haben.

|7.98km vom StadtzentrumStayed for a week in March in a Honeymoon Suite (room 7615) on the Seaside Suites side. The rooms are starting to show their age with missing sink drain covers, rust around the sliding door handle and balcony pool area and a closet door that wouldn't stay open and would wake the neighbors with it's squeak. The paper thin walls are shameful for a hotel. Concierge services were somewhat of a joke. It took almost 2 hours to schedule a massage, two dinner reservations and the beach dinner. All of which were included with the room and nothing out of the ordinary. You can tell staff do not know what they are doing and seem confused. We waited 2 and a half hours for dinner at Culinaroum the first night after getting the buzzer at 6pm. I had to fight to get a table after seeing numerous sitting empty. After talking with others & several more long waits for food, it became obvious that they held tables for the vacation club members in case they showed up and made others wait. We missed eating breakfast one morning after waiting over an hour and a half for the food to arrive bc of our spa reservation. That kind of a wait for breakfast food is unacceptable. The app is not helpful. Restaurants were closed during times it showed they were open and it never worked for room service. The pizza we got from room service was nothing more than a frozen box one that wasn't even cooked thoroughly. The lunch situation is horrible if you go near Guacamayas. We were there early and always had a wait of at least 45 minutes if we wanted a pizza or the Sandwicherie. They need more tables and servers. Do try the ice cream with Pecan pie. It was fabulous, yet we were only able to get vanilla once bc they didn't restock any. Odd. All buffets were left unstocked after food ran out. Go early if you want options or warm food. The whole place caters to their vacation club members or those willing to pay more for a Mexican dinner night or show on the beach. It's not AI for everything that is normally included at other AIs. The massages by the beach were nothing to rave about and the spa itself didn't have working showers to clean up after. The beach on the Palms side is lovely; as are the Bali beds, if you're willing to get up early to save one. All the pools are cold, including the balcony one on the top floor with no roof. No one was even in the lower floor balcony pools bc they were freezing. The sun was the saving grace on building 7, 6th floor. The food we ate was all good, minus the Italian restaurant. Be prepared to use salt / pepper or ask for more spices at all the restaurants, minus the Mexican, La Carreta. It had top notch flavors. Definitely go to Driftwood for lunch and their fresh seafood. I would prefer making reservations for every night to be able to eat when planned vs waiting for hours to be seated, unless you show up promptly at 530pm. Take a cab and go for a day trip in Playa del Carmen for shopping and skip the shops on property. The grounds are metic

|9.58km vom StadtzentrumMy boyfriend and I stayed at Nerea for 3 nights in the middle of September 2023. We rented a car and drove from the Cancun airport to Tulum, which took about 1.5 hours. If you plan to drive yourself, familiarize yourself with the location of the hotel because there is no signage off the main highway and it's likely your cell phone wifi won't work. The hotel is chic, peaceful, and exclusive. We felt like the only ones there, even though the hotel was probably at half occupancy. Isabel at the front desk welcomed us and made us feel at home. She gave us a very thorough tour of the property and our room (plus we got delicious a non-alcoholic welcome drink!) Our room had a partial ocean-view and was above the pool. Pretty quiet, although we did hear a little foot traffic from the room directly above us. The bed was comfortable, however something was a little off-balance, meaning every time I flipped around while laying down, it made a noise. Again, not bad enough for me to say anything, but I'm really easy-going so it may be more of an issue for others. There's not a ton of privacy between the bathroom and the bedroom area. Personally, I didn't mind this. But my boyfriend would have liked to keep a little more ”mystery.” LOVED the shower. Didn't use the tub, but it looked relaxing. The lotion they stock in the room is really nice. And double sinks!! A must, in my opinion. The room has a mini bar with some water, soft drinks, and a few beers and can be re-stocked each day if you'd like. Take advantage of it!! They include breakfast with your stay, which is a nice touch and yummy. The beach is small but again, super private which I loved. The sea**** during our stay was not bad at all. My boyfriend and I enjoyed the complimentary kayaks one day. THE BEST PART is that there is a cenote within walking distance of the hotel! Literally, a 3 minute walk down the road. It's $10 to access it, probably more if you want snorkel gear (we did not.) My advice to the hotel is strike a deal with the people who operate the cenote and offer complimentary access for your guests for the duration of their stay. We didn't bring any pesos with us (rookie mistake) but luckily the front desk will exchange up to $60/day during your stay. I think they had an exchange rate of $16. The only con (and it's likely not a con for everyone) is that the location of the hotel is about 30 minutes from the Hotel Zone where all of the beach clubs & trendy restaurants are. Luckily, we had a car and could avoid what I imagine are massively expensive taxi rides. We drove to the hotel zone twice and into city center multiple times (city center is only about 15 min away.) Driving to/around the hotel zone is insane and I can't imagine what it's like in high season. If the party vibe is your thing, stay in the hotel zone so that you don't have to really drive anywhere. If you want a calm and peaceful stay in Tulum, I can't imagine a better place to do it than Nerea. It was my hands-dow

Also hier schreibe ich eine Bewertung. :-) Dies ist meine Frau und ich bin die erste Reise nach Mexiko und wir haben 4 Tage in Ether verblieben, um unseren Geburtstag zu verbringen. Alles ist perfekt für unsere Liebe. Die Privatsphäre, das Unterkünftepersonal, die ruhige und entspannende Atmosphäre des Resorts und das quaint Zimmer. Es machte unseren Aufenthalt in Tulum unvergesslich. Airam gab uns ein warmes Willkommen und besuchte uns im Resort, während Giovanna absolut fantastisch ist und sichergestellt, dass unser Aufenthalt möglichst komfortabel sein wird. Sie haben Ihre eigene private Strand mit komfortablen Strandschnecken und Matratzen. Sie haben auch einen kleinen Pool für Sie zu kühlen. Das Resort ist sehr nahe gelegen und Schritte entfernt zu guten Restaurants und Geschäften. Wir würden sicher zurückkommen und planen bereits unseren nächsten Aufenthalt hier.

|5.31km vom StadtzentrumTago ist der Ort, um in Tulum zu sein! Eine Klasseservice! Bei Ankunft Lety der Gastgeber begrüßte mich mit einem warmen Lächeln. Er bot mir ein Getränk meiner Wahl und ein kaltes Kleid mit Aromatherapie infundiert. Es ist völlig ein Vibe hier....so vibey! Ich wurde dann die Wohnung und bis zu meiner Strand-Suite mit spektakulärer Aussicht gezeigt. Der Pool war kristallklar. Das Zimmer war extrem sauber. Omar trug meine Taschen hoch und stellte sich sicher, dass ich alles hatte, was ich brauchte. Ich genossen den Pool und komplimentäre Früchte sofort, als ich mich von Tago empfange. Es ist sicherlich der Ort, zu sein. Alle Mitarbeiter sind wie Familie und stellen Sie sicher, dass Ihre Bedürfnisse sofort erfüllt werden. Super kühl, aber immer noch so ein Vibe. Ich bin sicher, ich werde nicht alle Namen der erstaunlichen Mitarbeiter erinnern, aber Sie waren alle schrecklich. Danke für all Ihre Liebe. Es gab Nachtstunden mit einem komplementären Nachtbehandlung. Fanatisches Essen. Die Avocado-Toast und frische Saft schlug immer den Platz. Nach der Auscheckung Michel, Frida und Noah sicherte, dass ich einen sauberen Auscheck hatte. Sie sind soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo So professionell und nett. Auch lassen Sie mich einen späten Auscheck. Alles tut Arbeit! Grüße! Segen!

|1.53km vom StadtzentrumHotel Muare is one of the more popular hotels in the Tulum area. It is a perfect getaway if you want to have a quiet time from the hustle-and-bustle of the city to recharge. The rooms are designed to look like houses in the remote places but with all the modern amenities. It also is a great option for someone who cares about staying at an Instagrammable hotel/resort. There is one restaurant which provides good food.
Negatives:
-Getting to the hotel will require you to drive through really broken dirt road with several pits.
-While the food options are good, if you’re someone with a dietary restrictions - e.g., vegetarian, vegan, pescatarian, don’t eat red meat or raw fish, etc. you may run out of options quickly. The staff is flexible though, so they may customize few dishes for your suiting.
-In general Tulum is expensive. However, Muare is up a notch. While it was a great place to stay, the price didn’t seem justifiable to me. Specially, since I don’t care as much about capturing Instagrammable photos.
-While the staffs are helpful and friendly, their extreme focus on getting money out of you is just off putting. Examples: we planned to have food by the pool and it took them forever to get us the food. They missed certain items in the order. We also had issues with our food (fly in maple syrup) which was still fine (since bugs/insects can fall in your food when you live in the nature). However, when we reported and asked for a replacement, they never returned with the fresh maple syrup. Finally, I had to go to the restaurant and pick it up myself. However, when it came to asking you to pay, they would run behind you to get your sign. On top of that, there is a default tip amount included in the bill which some of them may not even care to mention to you. While checking out as well, they added a hefty service charge to the bill - this on top of the already expensive booking fee.
Overall, my review is that it is a good place to stay. However, too expensive and the cost is not really justifiable. Plus for the good service they provide, it is really off putting when you see how focused they’re on getting more money out of you in any way possible.

With a huge reception lobby area with unlimited hot and cold drinks and waiting service at all times we were very impressed with the facilities. There were various pools and swim up bars so trying various ones gave us the chance to sample different places in the resort which was handy. The food was extremely varied and there was lots of choice of foods from hot and cold and drinks which changed regular which was really good. The dolphin training pool at Tulum was free to watch but as we also paid for a dolphin experience for all of us this was amazing for the children so would recommend. The shuttle trollies were great to transport you from one hotel to another and also to the beach and I found this to be really organised. The staff were exceptionally attentive and friendly but not imposing and one of the most impressive things was to see all the different jobs being attended to around this huge complex. The only thing I have to say which was not to be satisfaction was although the rooms was clean and tidy the bathroom was a let down on a few different levels. The tap leaked and the water flowed down the sides of the tiles and out into the living area. The jacuzzi bath blasted out water with some power along with a big lump of someone's hair which was disgusting but no bubbles just a jet of water blasting the wall . The wildlife around the complex was so lovely to see including a giant lizard living outside of the room entrance but never entered further and was totally harmless. There were also Coaties and capyburas and none of them bothered the guests. We took the free trip to Playa Del Carmen arranged through the hotel although at the expense of having to visit a jewellers as part of the deal but also got to sample several free tequila shots for free upstairs so not all bad . There is a market near Tulum where the transport trolley cars take you to where you can barter for deals although not all cheap products. Over all the experience was excellent and would definitely return in the future

|21.68km vom StadtzentrumDie Bewertung basiert unter anderem auch auf den Vergleich mit 2 anderen Hotel, die wir im Rahmen der Reise besucht haben. Positiv: Grundsätzlich eine schöne Anlage, die gut in Schuss gehalten wird. Der Strandbereich ist eigentlich schön (mehr dazu weiter unten) Das Personal ist freundlich und bemüht – meistens klappt alles. Das Essen ist gut – sowohl im Hauptrestaurant, wie auch in den anderen. Tolles Unterhaltungsprogramm am Abend - es sind jeweils professionelle Gruppen vor Ort die auftreten und die machen dies echt gut! Negativ: Das Check-In und der Empfang waren nicht gut. Wir haben eigentlich nichts erfahren, was wichtig gewesen wäre. Die Zimmer sind OK – etwas abgewohnt und das Badezimmer etwas in die Jahre gekommen – aber insgesamt ganz OK. In unserem Zimmer hatten wir einen Feuchtigkeitsschaden – den haben wir erst nach einigen Tagen bemerkt, wo die Kleider im Schrank «braune Flecken» hatten… dann haben wir gesehen, wie sich das Wasser an der Decke gesammelt hatte. Nach einem Anruf beim Concierge wurde zumindest die Decke geputzt – da wir am Tag danach abreisen wollten wir die Klamotten nicht mehr dort reinigen lassen. Nehmt aber unbedingt ein Zimmer in den oberen Etagen. Die Zimmer, insbesondere die Badezimmer sind ringhörig… wir hatten z.T. das Gefühl am Gespräch teilzunehmen. Der Strand ist im Meer leider abgegrenzt – eigentlich planscht man im Becken, wo das Wasser am Nachmittag knapp noch bis zur Hüfte reicht – das stelle ich mir nicht ganz vor, wenn ich ins Meer möchte. Ansonsten ist der Strand sauber – zumindest wenn man im rechten Bereich der Anlage Akumal unterwegs ist (ganz Rechts ist dann Adult-Only). Man wird das als Familie mit Kind gerne als Gast gesehen (es gibt auch einen Kids-Club), man hat uns dann aber am 4. Tag erklärt, dass der Strandabschnitt an dem wir sind, Adults-Only wäre. Dies war aber nirgends gekennzeichnet – es war sogar angezeigt, dass dies für Akumal-Only-Gäste war. Die Anlage besteht aus mehreren Hotels, wovon eines davon gar keinen Strand hat. Entsprechend voll waren die anderen Strände. Nach mehrmaligem Belästigen haben wir uns dann auch beschwert und wurden anschliessend in Ruhe gelassen. Leider kann man an den Restaurants sogut wie nur indoor essen – was sehr schade ist. Fazit: Es sind einige Abstriche dabei, aber das Essen und das gute Unterhaltungsprogramm reichen für ein gutes Abschneiden. Für ein Familienurlaub mit Kind würde ich aber unbedingt ein anderes Hotel empfehlen, weshalb ich auch nur 3 Sterne gebe (ansonsten hätte es für 4 knapp gereicht).

|11.15km vom StadtzentrumEin kleines (12 Zimmer) und ruhiges Erwachsenenhotel, genau das Richtige für uns. Zumindest dachten wir das. Die Zuwegung zum Hotel führt 4km über eine unbefestigte Straße und eine Anmerkung, dass das Hotel dort zu finden ist, gibt es nicht. Allerdings wussten wir, welche Hotels in der Nähe sind und haben es deswegen gefunden. Der Empfang war nett, das Personal ist freundlich (kann aber wenig bis kaum englisch). Das Zimmer (teuerste Kategorie) wirkte auf den ersten Blick hübsch, zwar verwittert, aber das ist der Lage geschuldet. Der Strand (der wirklich winzig ist), ist total vermüllt. Und damit meine ich nicht das Seegras. Generell ist alles ungepflegt und Mülleimer sucht man in der Anlage vergeblich. Leider gibt es seit Tagen kein warmes Wasser, was ich bei 4* und einen Preis von 340€ durchaus erwarte. Auf Nachfrage hieß es, das Problem bestehe seit Tagen und man arbeite dran. Wohl eher immer und das Hotel weiß das auch sehr genau. Sollte mal warmes Wasser kommen, dann Tropfenweise und nur für Sekunden. Auch das ist dem Hotel sicher bekannt. Wir sind jetzt den 3. Tag hier, haben das Problem jeden Tag angesprochen und hören täglich neue Ausreden. Da wir gerne warm duschen wollen und einen sauberen Strand bevorzugen, wollten wir früher auschecken. Darauf kam sofort, dass es kein Geld zurück gibt (aber einen Gutschein für ein Abendessen). Als wir den Manager sprechen wollten, hieß es, dieser sei nur via WhatsApp zu erreichen. Sehr ”professionell und seriös”. Das dachten wir bereits, als die Unterkunft 2 Wochen vor der Anreise den kompletten Betrag abgebucht hat (jetzt wissen wir warum). Als meinem Mann der Geduldsfaden riss, konnten man plötzlich doch telefonieren (mit wem auch immer). Bis jetzt hat sich noch kein Manager gemeldet und das wird auch nicht passieren. Wir werden früher abreisen und das vermutlich teuer bezahlen. Übrigens haben wir über Booking gebucht, die sind auch keine Hilfe. Haben außerdem Tourismusbehörde informiert, man kann nur hoffen, dass diese Abzockerbude dicht machen muss.

|1.87km vom StadtzentrumNeues Boho Hotel in Tulum. Wie würden 4 von 5 Sternen geben. Zimmer sind sehr klein, dass sollte man wissen bevor man bucht. Für uns war es aber gut. Das Bett ist leider nicht wirklich bequem. Waren nach 7 Tagen froh, weiter zu ziehen. Ausserdem hat uns eine Kofferablage gefehlt. Damit man den Koffer nicht auf den Boden legen muss .. Aber alles jammern auf hohem Niveau :) Frühstück bietet das Hotel an, jedoch so klein, dass man dort nicht essen muss. Alma Verde und Campanella direkt vor dem Hotel sind eine perfekte Auswahl für einen tollen Brunch mit Top Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis. Der Rooftop ist sehr sehr schön. 2 Pools, genug Liegen. Die grossen Betten sind jedoch mit Mindeskonsum, nach unserer Meining völliger Blödsinn... Die Mitarbeiter sprechen fast alle Englisch und grösstenteils super nett. Betreffend Trinkgeld wird man oftmals direkt angesprochen ,, und der Tipp?,, Naja, ich gebe gerne Tipp, wenn der Service stimmt.. aber wenn ich zur Bar laufen muss um zu bestellen/bezahlen oder 40 Minuten auf Getränke warten muss, bin ich der Meinung gehört sich kein Trinkgeld! Das Essen ist super lecker und bietet viel Auswahl (Auch Brunchmöglichkeiten, welche wir nicht ausprobiert haben). Das Hotel bietet gratis Zugang zu den Beachclubs Vagalume und Bagatelle. Vorbeischauen lohnt sich! Auch wenn die Taxipreise je nach Taxifahrer von 500-800 Pesos varieren. Einfach weiter fragen, bis man beim günstigsten Fahrer ist. Unbedingt Zimmer mit Jungle View buchen, sonst wirds schwierig in der Nacht die Augen zu zumachen. Wir waren zuerst im Zimmer 215, mit Blick auf den Innenhof mussten jedoch dann ins Zimmer 212 wechseln, da es nachts zu Laut war. Zimmer sind sehr ringhörig. Im grossen und ganzen für diesen Preis jedoch eine gute Hotel Auswahl! Wir würden wieder kommen :)

|25.31km vom StadtzentrumDas Hotel ist wunderschön angelegt inmitten von Palmenhainen, der Empfangsbereich und die Lobbybar sind offen angelegt, was uns sehr gefallen hat. Direkt am traumhaften weißen Sandstrand , Stand up Padel und eine kleine Tauchschule sind vorhanden. 3 a la Carte Restaurant sowie ein Büffetrestaurant Sushibar , Strandbar / Restaurant die alle auf sehr guten Niveau lagen, das Essen schmeckt sehr gut und ist vielfältig sowie reichhaltig vorhanden. Extra Punkt gibt es für das Personal , das stets höflich und zuvorkommend war , sehr selten so etwas erlebt . Punktabzug gibt es für das Zimmer , Wir hatten ein ca 25qm großes Apartment mit großen Balkon , Jacuzzi sowie Meerblick dennoch sollten die Maler hier mal Hand anlegen ( Schimmel im Schrank ) Ebenso die kleine Boutique, 15 Dollar für ein Päckchen Marlboro ist einfach zu viel. Kleiner Tipp von uns , Taxi fahren ist auf Deutschen Niveau, dementsprechend teuer, Collektivo( Kleinbusunternehmen) ist sehr günstig Fahrt von Akumal nach Playa de Carmen ca 20 km Kosten 2,5 pro Person. Fazit: Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht ist hier absolut richtig,wir sind im Frühjahr 2024 wieder sehr gern hier .

|29.89km vom StadtzentrumDie Anlage ist sehr groß und die Wege weit, aber dadurch, dass es sehr viel Dschungel in der Anlage gibt verlieren sich die vielen Touristen und es kommt einen nie zu voll vor. Viele reservieren schon die liegen am Pool wie am Strand bevor sie zum Frühstück gehen. Dies war ja immer eine deutsche Sitte, nur dies machen vorfallen jetzt Amerikaner und andere europäische Personen, was eigentlich schade ist. Das Essen in den Restaurants ist sehr amerikanisch und bei und geht das Essen in Deutschland als gutes Kantinenessen durch. Bei den Essen in den Restaurants, sollte darauf geachtet werden, dass es auch wirklich authentisch schmeckt, das asiatische Restaurant war mit Abstand das schlechteste. Die Pizza aus dem italienischen Restaurant was gut. Diese Kritik haben wir auch schon an das Hotel geschrieben. Die Anlage ist sehr sauber, nur es sind dort auch leider viele betrunkene. Es gibt sehr viele wilde Tiere in der Anlage und leider werden diese auch von den Touristen gefüttert. Der Strand ist schön nur gibt es leider viel Korallenstücke und Steine, aber an einer Stelle kann man sehr gut rein und raus aus dem Meer.

|21.11km vom StadtzentrumA+++ Family Vacation (2 Adults, 3 Kids – 4, 5 and 7). You should not hesitate to book this super lux spot for your next vacation. We chose Conrad Tulum because it was on the CN Traveler best places to go. It did not disappoint. No way for the resort to be any more lux/beautiful or service to be better. Pictures are real and in some cases don’t do the place enough justice. Place is brand new. Further, the “kids club” was critical to our vacation. Shamara, Sehem, Ivette and Ruth all jointly run the kids club. It is a mix of indoor and outdoor activities from 945am-5pm (lunch with parents at Noon). Making pinatas, painting, reading, traditional Mexican art/crafts alongside pool (there is a specific pool about 2.5 feet-3 feet deep which is great for young children), beach, watersport, treasure hunts around the resort, etc. This is a very curated program for kids, exceptional in every aspect and also customizable based on what the kids may want to do. My kids are begging to return. Thank you to the staff at the kids club! Some other outstanding parts of the resort include morning wellness activities on the beach (Rafael is wellness coach speak to him on arrival for schedule/info) and the breakfast restaurant which has countless stations servicing traditional Mexican food cooked to order in front of you by chefs as well as a plethora of recognizable American breakfast items. It is a showstopper. Rivals the best breakfasts at the worlds finest hotels. Other restaurants on site (pan Asian, Japanese, Mexican, etc) are all superb. Guacamole, coconuts, champagne, wines all delivered poolside, beachside, etc. All the fine service you would expect. Some suggestions for the future as the hotel is brand new. Fix (or get a new) ATM that dispenses Mexican Peso so Americans can tip your exceptional staff in pesos without paying a silly exchange rate at the front desk. For the watersports company on the beach they need high end equipment to match the character of the hotel. For example, snorkel equipment must be the “dry” snorkels and they should have goggle defogger on site and used prior to each swim – price should be raised to accommodate this. Oscar is the local snorkel guide and he is REALLY GOOD. There is a massive set of coral reefs with tons of fish (some as big as sharks) outside the hotel but accessible only with the best equipment. (bring your own better yet!). Childrens food at the hotel/poolside could improve so that the kids have healthy and LOCAL choices (fruit/veg as sides, fun kid local fruit drink, less of the burger/chicken stuff that is on every menu in the USA). Guacamole ice cream cones (made from tortilla chips, delivered as fun snacks for free every day which the kids loved) were amazing and that should be on the menu! Finally, there are some comments about sea****. They have huge crews that come clean it up every morning (done by about 9/10am). Its not a nuisance. Front desk staff Juan Carlos and Emmanuel were incredibly helpful with general tips, transportation, tour, ideas, and recommendations, as well as restaurant ideas. It was a block and a half walk to the main road and there are several restaurants nearby. We would highly recommend the closest which is on the same road called Restaurante La Choca (do not miss it!) You can also easily walk for 15 minutes towards the more busy downtown area on the main highway for a variety of restaurant options. The pool and breakfast area were both beautifully maintained and very clean. We enjoyed the free breakfast every morning. Most days it included coffee and tea, of course, granola, yogurt, fruit, honey, breakfast, cereals, eggs, omelettes, toast, and one day there was pancakes. The staff working there were lovely and very helpful. It was a lovely, quiet place to stay, and we felt safe at all times. We definitely enjoyed our stay, and the people that we met who worked there.

|4.35km vom StadtzentrumI stayed for 1 week here, with my two teenagers. We had room D, which has 2 super comfortable king-sized beds as well as another (queen? or full?) bed. The latter was described as a couch but we were pleasantly surprised it was more than that. The room is on the second floor, with a little outside area to relax and enjoy the sea breeze. We LOVED this place. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The housekeeping staff does a wonderful job with room service, and the breakfast staff is great (Gracias, Abraham!). We didn't eat any other meals there, although they're available. The small hotel has a chill vibe. It's right on the beach, and since the beach is only shared with one other hotel, it feels pretty tucked away. There is a small rocky cliff where I loved sitting to watch the sunrise and the pelicans feed. The evenings are pleasantly quiet. My kids enjoyed the small pool (very clean!) as well as the hammocks and beach chairs down on the beach. The whole area has tons of sea**** right now, which changes depending on the day to some extent, but during our time there was never absent. I still managed to swim in the ocean a few times, although my kids didn't. The main drag along the beach is pretty busy, but you don't sense that while at this hotel. There are plenty of places that you can walk from the hotel, although after we realized it was more expensive to eat along the ”*****” in Tulum than it is to eat in the US, we took the rest of our dinners in Tulum town (recommended!). The friendly folks at the desk are happy to offer suggestions for restaurants, or any other help that you might need. Having a fridge was great; we kept some beverages as well as stuff for lunches there. Do put food in the fridge - it's the tropics, so ants will arrive otherwise! My kids loved the AC, although honestly the week we were there, the ocean breeze was so steady, I felt it wasn't really necessary. There is no parking (we rented a car) but there are multiple places across the street where you can pay to park. Our place was 200 pesos/day (about 10 USD). The only thing that I'd say could use improvement is the coffee -it's incredibly bad. If you like coffee in the morning, come prepared, or go out! The breakfast is yummy (I mostly had the ”Mexican eggs” which are scrambled with tomatoes & onions, plus a small helping of rice, beans, and sometimes guac)....other options include eggs with ham and/or cheese, or else pancakes & fruit. They don't start serving anything until 8am, so on some of our ”early start” days we had to miss it. Overall, a great stay.

Das Essen ist unglaublich, erschwinglich und der Service ist hervorragend. Da ich seit Jahren hier bin, habe ich die Höhen und Untergänge der Anlagen gesehen - aber es ist offensichtlich, dass die Führung einige weise Einstellungsentscheidungen getroffen hat und die Verbesserung ist offensichtlich.
Zentral gelegen - nahe dem Busbahnhof und ”Hotspots”, bietet Fahrräder für kurze Fahrt zum Strand - das ist ein wenig lang, in Bezug auf die Spazierweiterung.

|1.57km vom StadtzentrumDie 2 Sterne gibt es für die ruhige und abgelegene Lage des Hotels, daher sehr geeignet für Urlauber, welche zum Ende des Tages ihre Ruhe haben wollen und einen Mietwagen zur Verfügung haben. Des Weiteren ist das Hotel und die Zimmer sauber. An den Zimmern gibt nichts großartiges auszusetzen. Jetzt zu den negativen Dingen: Es soll angeblich ein 4 Sterne Hotel sein… Dies ist definitiv nicht der Fall. Zumindest nicht im Sinne der meisten Urlauber. Bitte lassen Sie sich nicht blenden von dem Zusatz „inklusive Frühstück“! Das Frühstück ist ein Witz… Okay ich berichtige mich: Das Frühstück ist die reinste Verarschung! Ein bisschen Ei, ein bisschen Kartoffeln, ein bisschen Bohnenpaste, 2 Scheiben Toastbrot für 2 Erwachsene, ein Kaffe, ein Saft und ein bisschen Früchte mit einer priese Müsli oben drauf. Käse oder ähnliche Beilagen gibt es nicht. Es wird alles abgezählt serviert und Nachbestellungen werden berechnet. Daher betrachten Sie den Übernachtungspreis ohne Frühstück, das macht mehr Sinn. Zum Personal: Frühstück: Man hat ein ungutes Gefühl etwas zu fragen oder nachzubestellen, da einem mit dem Gesichtsausdruck das Gefühl vermitteln wird, wie man sich es denn erlauben könnte, nochmal was nachzubestellen oder etwas zu erfragen. Am Kaffee oder Saft-Stand sich selbst bedienen ist strengstens verboten. Housekeeping: Die Damen sind sehr freundlich und haben immer ein Lächeln im Gesicht. Machen Ihren Job sehr gut und halten das Niveau des Hotels aufrecht. Fazit: Wenn das Hotel ohne Frühstück betrachtet wird und es keine Berührungspunkte mit dem entsprechenden Servicepersonal gibt, dann ist das Hotel sehr zu empfehlen lediglich wegen der guten Lage, der geräumigen Zimmer sowie der guten Arbeit vom Housekeeping-Personal.

I was unsure what to expect but leading up to our reservation, JuanCarlos, reached out to me directly to conform our reservation, provide me with the contact information for Dante (who is the onsite property manager) and even helped me organize and book a shuttle for our reservations all trip! The place is really cool and each building as their own name. We stayed in Casa Coyote, so we had the whole building and 8 rooms. The hallways, rooftop, and business center are common areas, but we rarely saw guests from other buildings passing through. The beds were made each day, we had fresh towels and the location is amazing. It was a little confusing at first for our drivers, but it is located to the right of Loco Tulum restaurant. I would recommend this as a place to stay for any group, large or small!

The staff was really nice and accomodating. They made a very nice surprise for me on my day and they added a very personal touch. The bartender, Lucas, made very good drinks ant the pool was very relaxing. As a solo woman traveler I felt safe and it's a very important aspect of my trip. I struggled a little with communicating with the staff since I am not fluent in spanish.

Obwohl es ein wenig unangenehm ist, macht es Spaß, es zu erleben, aber es sollte unangenehm sein, noch ein paar Nächte zu bleiben. Um Kinder mitzubringen, ist es geeignet, ältere Kinder mitzubringen, auch kleine Kinder sind in der Umwelt nicht sicher genug. Eineinhalb bis zwei Stunden vom Flughafen Cancun entfernt gibt es einen Parkservice vor der Tür.

|0.18km vom StadtzentrumJust returned from our 3rd stay @ Hotel Akumal Caribe ~ had a wonderful time. Loved our ground floor (deluxe kitchenette) room (406) just steps away from the pool & beach. Nothing better than waking up to the birds singing & enjoying a cup of coffee on our patio. You know your day is going to be a good one, when Juan (goundskeeper) greets you with a ”Hola, Buenos Dias” as he starts his day. But, then ALL the people employed @ this property are super friendly & make you feel like family each & everyday. Our room was cleaned by a very nice gentleman (forgot to get his name) always with a smile & a ”hope you are having a nice visit.” We had all our meals down by the Lolha ~ excellent food/drinks/service!! Big ups to Oscar, Willy, Rafael, Alberto, Jordy & the rest of the crew. Again, always service with a smile. Hotel Akumal Caribe & The Lolha are a perfect example of how a property/restaurant should be run & I'm sure other properties could learn a valuable lesson from them. Until next year (already have my 2024 calendar out) wishing everyone a Merry Christmas & all the very best in the New Year. Patricia & Bob

The rooms are large, with a clean setting that still lacks some amenities (just an open rack for clothes, no towel hangers). Our room (# 110), shared an opaque glass window with the internal hall that let through the light: a nuisance for a good night's sleep; the room's design does not include a well iluminated mirror necessary for makeups, put on contact lenses or shavings. Their employees ate very attentive and take a good care of the maintenance. Beyond the swimming pool area (surrounded by a nice garden),, the building's terrace offer a nice 360⁰ view of the region besides 4 very confortable cubic pools. The restaurant where breakfast is served also offers lunch service: even though it doesn't have a wine list, they will charge you a 500 pesos (around US$ 30,00) as a corkage fee.

Man wohnt direkt am Strand mit einer kleinen malerischen Bucht. Das Gelände ist mit Liebe eingerichtet. Man ist sehr schnell in Tulum (10min Taxi) und sehr schnell am Publich Beach, wenn man feiern gehen möchte (5min zu Fuß). Hier kann man extrem easy ausspannen und den Strand genießen.
