Great location to base yourself for a few days of seeing Queenstown. (It really is that close.) Nice and friendly staff at check in and throughout. Most helpful. Ents included TV, books, games, couple of guitars, ocassional theme evenings. Couple of outdoor spaces. Bathrooms are fine although if fairly or more than fairly tall, the shower heads are surprisingly low down. I understand the difficulties with this given the time of year but a floor by floor deep clean is probably needed. Whilst I am no member of the fun police, having numerous notes across the place emphasising the need to keep noise down after 10pm, I can see why this might be a bit galling when the staff who live there alongside guests do not abide by this - especially when you have no idea who is a worker who is off duty. Might be impossible given temperatures, but it wasn't ideal to climb into my bunk in the pitch black (other than the light from my phone) and find a cat sleeping there (honestly!) I like a cat but if I hadn't had my phone lit, I would never have known and would have landed forcefully on it. I actually found it quite funny but a lot wouldn't. All hell could have broken loose if I had landed on it. (Amusingly and no joke, I was watching Don't F*** with Cats at the time and had paused it while I climbed in. Perhaps it was written...) Anyway, really nice spot and right for the price. Cheers!

Selbstprüfung in Kiosk ist verfügbar, Zimmerkarte wird aus dem Kiosk gedruckt. Ctrip letzte Minute ist wettbewerbsfähig, sehr empfohlen. Jedoch ist das Zimmer ein wenig klein. Ausgezeichnete Lage vor dem See

我們不會英文退休的夫妻倆第一次住這種背包酒店（主要看上它離企鵝基地很近，步行10分鐘，關鍵也是想體驗下），自助入住（在攜程客服協助下很絲調的入住了），第一次感受這種年輕人入住的背包酒店，想不到環境好面對大海，布草挺乾淨，我們訂的雙人海景房以為有獨立衞浴，但沒所謂了，公用的也很乾凈衞生！公用觀景客廳超讚，廚房超讚，有簡單的免費食材，當晚在海灘上看到好幾衹小藍企鵝，那種藍超漂亮，看見有人鬼鬼崇崇的，超可愛！在海灘岸邊路上拍攝企鵝和跟它們互動留下難忘的印像！2個長者家玩到夜當10點才回旅館，當晚旅館裏有6個年青人，4個外國人，1個韓國的美女，和1箇中國年青人（已新西蘭8年，假期自已一個人來玩的），跟他聊天很開心，感謝他給了我們一包康師傅方便麪和一個雞蛋！建議住2樓，住1樓因為是木板樓，2樓人有人走動會聽到！但睡覺了就很安靜了，晚上拍星空和早上拍日出超美！

Always my favourite place to stay when we go to The Catlins. Beach is nearby, sunset view is awesome. The owners are very friendly and helpful. Will definitely come back again.

It’s conveniently located within walking distance to the town center. The front desk staff are kind and friendly. The room is simple but has everything you need. There's a kitchen as well, so you can cook your own meals. Parking seems to be on a first-come, first-served basis, so I recommend securing a spot early.

It’s a huge hostel in the prime part of queenstown so it’s a mixed bag on who you’ll be sharing a room with. There isn’t really anywhere to put your things in the room and need your own lock for the small safety cabinets, and sharing 2-4 outlets with everyone in the room, but it’s clean and the bed is fine.

Not super close to the Richies/Intercity bus stop, but still within a 10-min walk. Room is a bit small, and the curtain on the bed had a stain. On the bright side, the public area facilities are great, the kitchen is big and well equipped. There’s also a supermarket nearby, which is probably the main convenience. For first-timers at Haka House, just a heads-up, the main door needs a password. If the receptionist doesn’t mention it, check your email or look around the wall for any info posted.

Es war ein toller Aufenthalt für vier Tage und drei Nächte. Erstens ist die Lage sehr gut. Es dauert drei Minuten, um den Nzone-Laden zu erreichen, drei Minuten, um Info&Track zu erreichen (der Bus fährt nach Glenorchy), fünf Minuten, um Fergburger und Fergbaker zu erreichen, und zehn Minuten, um Kiwi Park und die Seilbahnstation zu erreichen . Bis zur Haltestelle des Flughafenbusses Nr. 1 sind es fünf Minuten zu Fuß. Die Haltestelle des Überlandbusses befindet sich ebenfalls in der Nähe, sodass das Laufen mit Koffern überhaupt nicht ermüdend ist. Auch der Service an der Rezeption ist sehr freundlich. Obwohl das Zimmer klein ist, können 2 Koffer unter das Bett gestellt werden und es riecht nicht seltsam im Zimmer. Obwohl die Küche klein ist, ist zu den Hauptkochzeiten fast niemand da. Das Restaurant befindet sich im vierten Stock. Die Umgebung ist ziemlich gut und es sind nicht viele Leute da. Es war sehr ruhig und ich konnte mich in den letzten Tagen gut erholen. empfehlen.

Overall, the stay was quite satisfactory. The only downside is that the room is next to a shared toilet, and noise from the door opening and closing is noticeable.
