Das Hostel liegt etwas außerhalb, verglichen mit den anderen, man ist jedoch in 10 Minuten zu Fuß in der Stadt. Das Bad und die Küche sind recht ordentlich, es gibt direkt Steckdosen am Bett. Leider gehen die Vorhänge nicht ganz zu. Ich hatte leider keinen schönen Aufenthalt weil einige männergruppen sehr laut nachts geredet haben. Allgemein sind hier eher ältere Leute und vor allem Männer. Als Frau würde ich es daher weniger empfehlen. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Handtücher kosten $3.

The ambiance of this place was quite unique, with dim lighting and not many electric lights, which gave it a rustic charm. One of the highlights was the ability to cook meals, which added a nice touch of convenience. Plus, there are plenty of shops nearby where you can easily pick up groceries or essentials.

Das ist mein erstes Aufenthalt in einem Hostel, da ich immer in Hotels wohne, wenn ich reise, aber NZ ist weg aus meinem Budget, um ein Hotel für 8 Tage Aufenthalt zu bekommen. Es war ein toller Aufenthalt für vier Tage und drei Nächte. Erstens ist die Lage sehr gut. Es dauert drei Minuten, um den Nzone-Laden zu erreichen, drei Minuten, um Info&Track zu erreichen (der Bus fährt nach Glenorchy), fünf Minuten, um Fergburger und Fergbaker zu erreichen, und zehn Minuten, um Kiwi Park und die Seilbahnstation zu erreichen . Bis zur Haltestelle des Flughafenbusses Nr. 1 sind es fünf Minuten zu Fuß. Die Haltestelle des Überlandbusses befindet sich ebenfalls in der Nähe, sodass das Laufen mit Koffern überhaupt nicht ermüdend ist. Auch der Service an der Rezeption ist sehr freundlich. Obwohl das Zimmer klein ist, können 2 Koffer unter das Bett gestellt werden und es riecht nicht seltsam im Zimmer. Obwohl die Küche klein ist, ist zu den Hauptkochzeiten fast niemand da. Das Restaurant befindet sich im vierten Stock. Die Umgebung ist ziemlich gut und es sind nicht viele Leute da. Es war sehr ruhig und ich konnte mich in den letzten Tagen gut erholen. empfehlen.

The room was very spacious and had great natural lighting, which I really appreciated. It felt comfortable during the day and overall the space itself was quite nice. However, the WiFi was extremely poor. Even basic social media would keep buffering, and trying to watch a show at night was almost impossible — it would pause every couple of minutes. Since there’s not much to do around in the evening, this was pretty frustrating. Another thing that felt a bit uncomfortable was the mirror placement next to the bed upstairs. It’s not directly facing the bed, but if you turn to the side, you’re basically looking straight into it. I know this might not bother everyone, but in some cultures (like feng shui), having a mirror facing the bed is considered bad for sleep and overall comfort, so it felt a bit odd to me. The bathroom was also a bit annoying — the fan automatically turns on with the light and can’t be switched off separately. It was quite loud, so even using the bathroom felt uncomfortable after a while. Parking space was decent in size, but getting out was inconvenient. I had to reverse multiple times because the space behind wasn’t very wide. Overall, the room itself is nice, but the WiFi and some layout details could really use improvement.

At first glance, the place seems lovely and inviting. However, on closer inspection, there are quite a few maintenance issues that need attention. Several lights weren’t working (only about 2 out of 5), the carpet wasn’t as clean as it initially appeared, and there was mould in the shower. There are also signs of wear such as plastering around the sink, and the hairdryer made an unhealthy noise when used. The toilet bolts were loose, which was concerning. The bathroom lacks an extractor fan, so it becomes very steamy. The shower head is quite small with low pressure. While there is an outdoor area, it doesn’t offer much privacy as the motel is right on the road. Parking is available on-site, which is a plus, but there are no laundry facilities. There is a makeshift kitchenette with a toaster, microwave, kettle, fridge, and basic cutlery and crockery. However, it’s not suitable for cooking proper meals, and the lack of a sink makes washing up or even filling the kettle inconvenient. On the positive side, the location is excellent—right next to a New World supermarket and very central. Overall, the place is reasonably clean, tidy, and comfortable, but it would benefit from some maintenance.

It’s a huge hostel in the prime part of queenstown so it’s a mixed bag on who you’ll be sharing a room with. There isn’t really anywhere to put your things in the room and need your own lock for the small safety cabinets, and sharing 2-4 outlets with everyone in the room, but it’s clean and the bed is fine.

- great accommodation for backpackers - room is spacious (can open both luggage and keep them under the bed), great view of Lake Wakatipu to - street parking just outside of Haka House is free but very limited. ended up paying $15 per night for parking within Haka House (there’s limited lots as well) - there’s stairs from reception area to the first floor. have to carry luggage up a small flight of stairs before being able to access the lift - communal kitchen is big and spacious for 6 groups to cook at the same time

本当に素晴らしいバックパッカーホステルでした！口コミがとても良いことにも納得ができます。 まず、清潔感がとてもあります。共有スペースも綺麗ですし、宿泊者も皆綺麗に使用しています。各部屋も綺麗で、下の段のベットにカーテンがついていて閉められるようになっていることも素晴らしいです。 また、ホットチョコレートや紅茶が飲めるように準備してあります。ニュージーランドは秋で寒かったので、ホステルに戻ると温かい飲み物が飲めるということがとても嬉しかったです。 遅いチェックインで朝早くのチェックアウトでしたが、事前から連絡をくれて、丁寧に対応してくださりました。 また、泊まりたいと思う素敵なホテルでした！
