GGastnutzerA decent hostel in a not-so-far location from the centre. The kitchen and common areas are specious enough and kept clean daily regardless of careless people that were not taught how to clean after themselves. There’s parking available free of charge which is great with an alternative to park on neighbouring streets if full. The beds are not the best, very wobbly and noisy when you turn or tried to climb up. Separate sockets and lights by each bed are great. There are lockers but you need your own bad lock. Staff was polite and friendly.
GGarth McMillanSecond time I've stayed there. Good value for money and friendly staff. Rooms were clean and tidy but the bathroom was a little. Overall it was pleasant stay
DDragan S**Comfortable Stay with Great Service**
I had a pleasant stay at **Rosewood Court Motel**. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with all the essentials, including a comfortable bed and a small kitchenette. The Wi-Fi was reliable, and the parking was convenient.
The staff was friendly and accommodating, always ready to help with any requests. The location was also great—close to shops, restaurants, and easy access to the city.
Overall, it’s a good choice for a comfortable and hassle-free stay. I would definitely consider staying here again.
VVTEOKevin and June are friendly and approachable. The rooms are provided with the basic amemities. The location is convenient since we are driving. The only drawback is our rooms are on the upper level and there is no elevator.
GGastnutzerThe lodge is above my expectations, staff is good and friendly, room is spacious, clean, have microwave to heat some food, kettle is clean too. Well equipped. The food at the restaurant is nice and portion are big, we have a nice dinner there.
GGastnutzerYou cannot get closer to Mt Cook than staying on property in their national park. The rooms are like mini apartments with a full kitchen, dining and spacious sleeping area. There is a walk out terrace in the back. The price for this ensuite was less than the Hermitage but I believe a better value for the quality. We spent 2 nights here to actually wind down (1 night is too short) and take advantage of the trails. There are so many. As we knew we were getting rainy weather going in, we picked up some groceries n Twizel to make soup and salad on the first night. We did a walkthrough of the museum and planetarium show which is a short drive (4 minutes). For our last night, we dined at the Alpine buffet restaurant in the Hermitage which had an amazing assortment and local seafood (cured Aoraki salmon, prawns, mussels). We thoroughly enjoyed and took advantage of all that this area offered. Beautiful natural setting. You will not be disappointed staying here. The word motel is deceiving as it's more like mini-suites.
DDaniel Michael WangHaka House Hostels Aoraki Mt Cook is a fantastic base for exploring one of New Zealand’s most stunning landscapes. The hostel is clean, modern, and well-maintained, with comfortable beds and spacious communal areas that make it easy to relax after a long day of hiking. The large kitchen is fully equipped, which is perfect for self-catering, and the lounge offers incredible views of the surrounding mountains.
The staff are friendly and helpful, always ready with tips on local trails and weather conditions. The atmosphere is social but not too noisy, making it suitable for both solo travelers and groups. Its location is unbeatable, just a short walk from key viewpoints and tracks. Overall, a great value stay in an unforgettable setting.
SSachin SSThe twizel town is very beautiful and the place was at the right place. However, the room we choose wasn’t that great. I know it’s a small town but reception area was closed by 7pm so you need to make sure you arrive before time else need to message the check in time.
