KKiefLet’s start with the lows. The hostel itself is aggressively barebones. The dorm rooms are tiny, airless, and deeply uncomfortable—less “budget accommodation” and more “temporary storage for humans.” Sleeping in them felt claustrophobic at best and suffocating at worst. The fans also squeaked aggressively all night. I wouldn’t willingly put myself through that again.
The bathrooms, while decently laid out, suffered from poor upkeep. The garbage bins were emptied so infrequently that overflowing trash became the norm, which is not the ambiance one hopes for when brushing their teeth.
Now, where credit is due: the bathrooms do have hooks and shelves for toiletries—a small detail many hostels somehow still fail to grasp, and it genuinely makes a difference.
The rooftop is another bright spot: spacious, relaxed, and a genuinely enjoyable place to spend time.
The staff also deserve praise. They put real effort into creating a social atmosphere, organizing events and excursions that were well-attended and made meeting people effortless.
Ultimately, this is a full-throttle party hostel. If you value sleep, personal space, or silence, look elsewhere. I won’t be returning, the dorm rooms alone were enough to rule out a return visit. Ginger Banana hostel, which is a short walk from here, looks & feels legitimately luxurious and yet it's cheaper.

RroshelineA super nice hostel. We loved the kitchen and free water and coffee. The staff is very helpfull and the location is super central. The bathroom was clean most of the time and the room is ok (2 pers room).

SSοtService is great. Hostel is run by enthusiastic young volunteers from around the world and they welcome you from the first moment. There is a WhatsApp group where activities are announced every day (that was something new for me) and also one can get Intel or help should they need to. I booked for one night but stayed four as the hostel is quite quiet so, you can rest despite the roof top bar that keeps the music there. Also free water is available.
One thing though that I didn't like was the all the time cold water at showers ❄️
That made me catch a cold 🤒
Nevertheless, I had a pleasant time in Puerto Escondido. Hasta luego

GGastnutzerGood location for ADO bus terminal but a long way from the best beach areas (10 mins walk to access the beach due to the river running along and in front of the hostel so you have to walk up on to the main road and cross the estuary and back down to the beach, 45 mins walk to La Punta area along to the other end of the beach)

GGastnutzerDie Tür des Zimmers ist nicht sehr gut verriegelt, ich schreibe sie auf dem Notizbuch. Darüber hinaus war der Explosionsgeräusch der nebenan gelegenen Anlage bis etwa 23:00 Uhr. Ich hoffe, dass ich mindestens nach 22:00 Uhr ruhig bleiben kann.

AAnna ModolEs un hotel excelente, muy bien ubicado, en una zona tranquila y cerca de muchos restaurantes y cafeterías. Así como sitios para alquilar motos. Incluso en el mismo hotel alquilan.
Las habitaciones son muy espaciosas, limpias, la cama es grande y cómoda y la ducha tiene buena presión. Tiene una terraza con una hamaca. La nuestra daba a la piscina así que las vistas eran bonitas.
El personal es muy amable y te ayuda mucho.

GGastnutzerDie Wände zu reinigen, Bettwäsche und Handtücher zu wechseln, die Beleuchtung und den Sitz sowie das Fernsehen zu einem größeren zu wechseln würden einen Graaaan-Verschiedenheiten . Es ist ein Spiel. Luca braucht nur einen Abend, um es zu erleben und mehr Gold zu ziehen.
