Kalaloch Lodge was definitely cute, simple, and had such a beautiful view from the cabin. The staff were also very kind and welcoming during our stay. However, there were a few issues that made the experience disappointing for me personally. There was no phone service or WiFi available, which may not bother everyone, but it was difficult for me. The hot water ran out after the first person showered, the heater would shut off after a while, and by the morning we had no electricity in the cabin at all. I understand they warn guests about no air conditioning, but I didn’t see anything mentioned about possible power issues. As a woman trying to get ready for the day, having no electricity made things really inconvenient. Unfortunately, some of the blankets also had stains on them. Overall, the scenery and staff were wonderful, but I personally don’t think I would stay here again unless I absolutely needed to.

The separate cabin was cozy and comfortable, and we enjoyed our stay. I had a couple of issues though. I attempted to confirm our reservations two days before our arrival, but phone messages and emails went unanswered until the day before our arrival. In that the inn is located in a remote area, I had to make contingency reservations at another hotel, which I cancelled after my reservation with the Bush Inn was finally confirmed. The loft sleeping area is unsafe to access by ladder. Elderly and overweight adults and children are apt to fall using that ladder. The shower curtain feels as if I am inside a plastic bag. Nightly train whistles are annoying and sleep disruptive. I'm surprised Index residents haven't taken action to curtail them.

We had a decent stay at the house. The room is pretty small but it is clean. The common area are nice with dinner table and chairs, but only have 1 living room chair. Kitchen is nice and clean, unfortunately, there were some issues with ants in the kitchen. The major issue with the house is the noise.. as the wall are very thin which when any other guest walking in the common area or talking in their rooms, you pretty much can hear everything. The common area lights are motion sensitive and unfortunately the door gap in our room are bigger than normal, as anyone walks in the hallway, our door frames would lights up at night and wake me up at night. We didn't get too good of a sleep/rest for this reason.

Even though reviews toward this guest house, which were shown in Google, are rather low, I am satisfied with overall features in the house. Especially if you like using public transportation such as buses and trains in Seattle, the location of the house is rather good. It only takes 10-20 minutes from the house to downtown in Seattle. Also, though the size of the room is rather small, but also it was also enough to sleep. However, the drawback in the house is that you can hear the noises from the other rooms. If you are super-sensitive to hearing noises, then I wouldn't recommend the place. However, if you are not sensitive to it, then probably it would be fine.

Pros Das Zimmer war sehr gut eingerichtet und war nahe dem Park. Das Bett war super komfortabel. Kons Da meine Telefonnummer international ist, schickten sie mir nie den Text, um zu überprüfen. Es war niemand am Eingang, so dass wir anrufen mussten. Der Mann, der sich aufholte, hatte eine ziemlich schlechte Einstellung, aber das Mädchen war freundlich. Das Zimmer riecht wie ein Armpit, das in Wochen nicht gewaschen wurde. Auch der Kühlschrank im gemeinsamen Wohnzimmer war vollständig von einem anderen Gast gelagert. Die anderen Gäste waren laut und gesprochen bis etwa Mitternacht, und begann den nächsten Tag um 5:30AM. Nächstes Mal werde ich weiter weg bleiben und fahren. Vielleicht in Beton

Lovely place, far from hustle and bustle of the city. We had the room upstairs with private bathroom and basic kitchen (fridge, microwave, silverware, kettle). We enjoyed how everything is decorated creating a relaxing atmosphere - both inside and outside the building. It got everything you need. One of the hosts met us in person and opened the gate for parking. The breakfast is included. The place is quite close to the downtown but is very quiet and comfortable. We stayed here before hitting the trails in the national parks . Definite recommendation!

We were very disappointed in our stay.  We ate lunch and dinner and both meals were poorly prepared.  For lunch I had fish and chips and the fish was badly overcooked and dry.  My wife had a smash burger and it too was overcooked.  We had scallops for dinner and they were undercooked with no color.  Our room was badly in need of repair with discolored woodwork and shoddy furniture.  We were hit by unexpected fees including a $59 amenity fee and $15 parking fee.  We won’t be returning.

It will be better if the wifi connection can be improved. Otherwise, I have no complaints at all

We had an excellent stay, and only wish we could’ve stayed longer! The beds are cozy, showers are perfect, and the owners were very friendly. We loved the breakfast- our kids loved having freshly laid eggs and then heading out to meet the chickens :) We would definitely recommend this place!
