This place is actually an old motel that has clearly gone bankrupt and still tries to get naive customers to a trap. It smells of mold, there is no shower ( just a broken whirlpool ), there is no maintenance and the staff is clearly unwilling to look after the guests. To make it worse - if possible - they tried to cheat Booking pretending I was not there ( although I have my credit cards statements to prove ) just not to pay their commission. When I wrote this on the Booking review the owner was extremely impolite and aggressive , as his plote was denounced. Honestly, it makes no sense staying there even if it was for free. Run away from this joint!!

Die Zimmer sind gemütlich und verfügen über alle Annehmlichkeiten, die Sie für einen Ausflug in Porto benötigen. An jedes Detail wurde gedacht. Die Zimmer verfügen alle über eine KOSTENLOSE Minibar mit Snacks und Getränken für die Gäste – was für ein Genuss – und im Gemeinschaftsbereich gibt es eine schöne Kaffeemaschine mit Spielen und Büchern. Großartige Lage: Ideal gelegen, nur einen kurzen Spaziergang von den besten Restaurants und Boutiquen in Porto entfernt, in einem wunderschönen, ruhigen Viertel, sodass Sie sich wie ein Einheimischer fühlen können! Dieser Ort fühlt sich wie ein verstecktes Juwel an und hat meine Reise nach Porto perfekt gemacht.

Die Rezeption ist immer aktiv und um das Zimmer zu reinigen, müssen Sie die Schlüssel auf der Rezeption hinterlassen. Das Zimmer ist sauber, wie die Handtücher jeden Tag wechseln. Sehr nett Personal. Auch das Telefon ist auf Anfrage. Bringt den Badeschaum, weil die Struktur Schaumbeutel und Seife für die Hände bereitstellt. Es gibt keine Klimaanlage, aber es gibt keinen Aufzug, es gibt keine Aufzugs- und eine Struktur, die für diejenigen, die nicht so viel Anspruch haben, nicht schlecht ist.

This lovely guesthouse is in a perfect location in Porto right near the river and handy to lots of cafes and restaurants. The staff are what makes this place. Luis, Philip, Ogle and Luisa. They are all wonderful, but we mostly spent our breakfasts with Luis and it was always lovely chatting to him. We enjoyed the beautifully prepared daily breakfast - the nicest fruit platter ever each day and you could also order eggs the day before and the omelettes were delicious too! I miss seeing Luis' cheery face at breakfast now we are home - no fruit platter, juice, eggs waiting for us when we get out of bed! Porto is a lovely city. The people are genuinely nice. Tips for eating - the restaurants on the river charge about twice the price than the ones up the hill or across the river in Gaia, naturally because you have a very nice view. If you walkup the hill to R Das Floras there are some nice restaurants up there, and in that general vicinity. They have some nice cocktails in Porto - one using Port and Tonic and one using Limoncello and Tonic. Nice with ice and fresh slice or orange or lemon. We would definitely stay at this property again. Highly recommend.

The staff were great. Friendly and professional. Always responded to messages in a timely manner. Price is quite low. It did the job for a friend's trip where budget and expectations are on the lower side...but...one of the beds in our room was broken and the fix had been to put a block of wood underneath, which didn't particularly work well and provided a rough night of sleep. The lock on our door was basically hanging off the door when we arrived but they did fix it the next day . We shared a locked area with one other room so we weren't too worried about security but it's always a thought. Worse was the smell in our room area. Not sure if it was the plumbing in the shared bathroom but it was bad enough to sleep with the windows open and be happy we only had 2 nights there. Not sure I'd stay again even on a buddy trip. The price is great but I'd opt for an upgrade next time around.

This hotel is perfect for a short stay in Porto for travellers who do not like fuss. There is no reception but having said that staff are available via WhatsApp to answer any queries/questions quickly and efficiently. FREE WiFi is available over the entire hotel. Prior to arrival all necessary information is provided for a easy check in. Our room on the second floor was spacious clean and comfortable. The bathroom was also spacious, toiletries where also available for those travelling light. The shower cubicle was very clean and offered perfect water pressure and easily adjustable water temperature. The beds were very comfortable, the bed linen crisp white and good quality. Big bonus the air conditioning worked perfectly. Our room also had a small balcony. Things to note: no lift and hot drinks only available from venďing machine on the ground floor. Large lockers available to leave luggage before check in and also after check out if required. Location 2-3 minute walk to old town square (downhill). We really enjoyed our stay and do not hesitate recommending this property - honestly do not be put off by the exterior facade

Das Frühstück war lecker- frisch, so viele Wahlen. Das Personal machte alles im Haus ex Brot. Gemütliche Chia Pudding, jummig yoghurt, Krebs, frische Eier, Obst; es geht weiter. Großer Kaffee. Ich fragte nach der Matrix und der Manager nahm Bilder der Etiketten für mich und die Matrix selbst. Sie war so nett. Ich werde auf andere Skied Eigenschaften suchen, da ich sehe, dass der Kundenservice so wichtig ist. Das einzige, was ich vorschlagen würde, ist Haarkonditionierer und einige Toiletten auf dem Vordertisch. Wir haben unseren Zahnpasta vergessen und sie hatten nichts. Auch Anweisungen für die Dusche. Es ist ein seltsamer Handtuch eingerichtet und ich habe nie herausgefunden, wie es funktioniert. Ich habe versehentlich warmes Wasser bekommen; es war so kompliziert.

Zirkita vom Bahnhof und Bus in Campanha, aber auf eine lange Spazierfahrt aus der Tourismuszone, aber auf einen U-Bahn-Pass. Gute Aufmerksamkeit des Verantwortlichen, das Zimmer ziemlich gut, ein riesiges Bad und bis zu einer Terrasse. Erhebt den gemeinsamen Bereich, wo Tee und Kaffee über den ganzen Tag sowie Obst und Croissants, trockene Früchte und bis zu Wein aus Porto angeboten werden, Möglichkeit, auf einer Terrasse zu kochen und zu entspannen****. Am Morgen wird man Ihr Frühstück vorbereiten, es gibt einen Kühlschrank, wo es Milch, Jamón, Käse, Butter.. Nutella, Getreide, sehr komplett die Wahrheit.. Sehr gut diese Unterkunft, empfehlenswert!

Abbiamo soggiornato due notti in questo hotel. Lo stile è retrò ma con tocchi di modernità, l’ho trovato esteticamente carino. Non essendoci l’ascensore è un po’ scomodo per le valigie. Il personale molto cortese e simpatico 😀 La camera tripla assegnata era abbastanza datata e non molto spaziosa. Il condizionatore un po’ complesso da accendere (il telecomando non aveva lo scomparto delle pile. Le pile erano tenute con dello scotch 😅). Il bagno piccolo ma funzionale. Il lavandino perdeva e personalmente ho avuto difficoltà a lavarmi perché i set del doccia schiuma consisteva in buste da 10ml l’una…. Vi conviene comprare un docciaschiuma. La colazione l’ho trovata molto buona! C’erano dolci tradizionali e artigianali, non le solite cose confezionate. E sempre rifornita. Personalmente non abbiamo usufruito del loro parcheggio perché nella via di fronte, a nemmeno 100 metri credo, abbiamo trovato parcheggio non a pagamento. Nella zona mi sembra di aver visto molti parcheggi gratuiti 😁 come detto da altri è molto comoda con la fermata della metro.

The guesthouse is very clean. It is in the center off all in the town. Near the Douro, the metro, the train station . You can discover Porto easily. You have all the supermarket or pastry all around the house. My room.is like a room in an hotel. You have elevator. It is easy to live and discover Porto from this hotel.

We were aware prior to our arrival that Reception would be closed so we rang the number provided as we left the airport and the owner had arranged for someone else to be there to greet us. However, the lady spoke very little English (and we speak no Portugese) so check-in was lengthy and difficult as she was using Google translate. It was not the best first impression and having read more reviews on our return home, we clearly missed out by not having the personal experience at check-in and missed some information eg cooked option at breakfast! Our room (with garden access and balcony) had lovely high ceilings, it was clean and the bed was very comfortable but the facilities were very basic. The air conditioning unit was not working on our arrival so the first night was unbearably hot (it was repaired the following day after reporting it to the owner) but there were no dials to change the temperature - it was set low but I would have preferred the room to be cooler. There was no safe in the room which we expect as standard to be able to store our passports etc securely. There was no storage ie chest of drawers or wardrobe - there was a wire with coathangers at the back of the built-in bathroom. Any noise from the bathroom could be heard in the bedroom and the shower was tiny (although pressure was good). There was a luggage rack for the suitcase. The kettle was on a small desk which had no socket nearby so it had to be boiled on either of the bedside tables. There was no fridge so drinks were not chilled and no option to have milk in our tea. Breakfast - the continental was varied and tasty but we were not aware that there was a cooked option. 8-10am did not work for us - too late for our day trip to the Douro Valley (first morning) so only ate breakfast on day 2. We were provided with a couple of pastries and carton of orange juice for day 3 as we had an early flight. Overall we expect our holiday accommodation to be better than home and this room was not up to standard - it was underwhelming and disappointing.
