Sehr gute Lage, angemessenes Frühstück mit Sorten, Privatparkplatz

Ich blieb, um den CTC über das Vereinigte Königreich zu Fuß zu gehen. Es war direkt neben dem Bahnhof, so konnte ich den Zug durch das Fenster sehen, was sehr romantisch war. Obwohl der Klang des Zuges durch ein wenig laut ist. Das Zimmer war so komfortabel!

Host Vickie of Abbey House B&B definitely made our first trip to Penrith a truly memorable experience. She was prompt with our pre-arrival queries. We love our suite with the ”Thoughtful Drawer”, bathrobes and delicious breakfast spread. Bonus is also its convenient location to train and bus stations for day trip to Lake District as well as walking distance to village squares with quaint local-owned artisanal shops, markets, and diners. We wish we could have stayed longer than 2 nights. Thanks Vickie! ❤️

Rum Doodle, well it was our first time at The Lakes and it certainly won't be our last! The location was just right with being part way between Windermere town and Bowness and was walkable to both. There were plenty of shops, bars and restaurants in walking distance as well as lake Windermere itself. We found Rum Doodle with ease and was greeted at the door with a smile and friendly man (the owner but didn't catch his name). We were bought a fresh glass of apple and orange juice to our room which was refreshing after a long drive to Windermere. Our room was comfy, not too big or too small, a wardrobe, seating in the bay window, hairdryer, hot drink making facilities, wine glasses with cork screw and bottle opener. Very modern, clean and well presented bathroom with soft and fluffy towels, and a really nice shower. The bed was very comfortable and welcomed after a busy day exploring the surrounding area. Breakfast was really good with cereal, fresh fruit and yogurt, toast, and then a choice of breakfast which were great too. We had a pleasant and informative chat at breakfast with the lady that works there who gave us the heads up on some driving routes to try and avoid which was really useful. After a day out exploring we went back to Rum Doodle to a cleaned room and freshly made bed with the tea and coffee replenished, so we were able to just drop and the bed with a nice cuppa and biscuit. Then out for a walk, some lovely food and a couple of drinks. We couldn't recommend The Lakes and Rum Doodle enough! Well worth every penny

非常值得推薦的一家酒店，感謝男女主人的熱情接待，早餐很棒。自製蛋糕令人難忘。 房間：二樓卧室套間，房間面積不大，佈置的很温馨，窗外景色很好。每天會打理衞生，補充耗品，但是不提供拖鞋等用品。 房間的淋浴間的水不是很熱，這點希望改進。 位置：離車站走路10多分鐘，要上下坡。距離湖區主要的公交大約10分鐘路程。距離温德米爾中心也是10分鐘左右。位置很幽靜，相當不錯。 早餐：很好吃，英式標準早餐，提供酸奶果汁咖啡麪包，全套英國早餐，還有店家自製的各種蛋糕、派。是這家店最值得推薦的地方，為男女主人的手藝點贊。

很漂亮的小別墅，我預訂的單人間，房間雖然小，住一晚也足夠了。 2樓的客廳很英倫，喜歡。 早餐中規中矩是傳統英式早餐，一大堆根本吃不完。 房東Lucy很和藹可親，唯一不足的是暖氣間斷供暖，晚上睡覺比較冷，我把羽絨服啥也蓋在被子上才暖和點，可能是床離窗子太近了，是真冷。 另外，衞生間的電熱毛巾架也是間斷供熱的 離鎮中心有點點距離，另外我房間還殘留上個住客的垃圾，真環保。總體來説還是不錯

Die Umgebung ist ruhig, der Ladenbesitzer ist enthusiastisch und Gastgeber, sehr hilfreich, es lohnt sich, zu verbreiten!

Das Hotel hat eine gute Lage, direkt in der kleinen Stadt am Devon Lake. Der Zimmerstandard beträgt 16 Quadratmeter, aber es fühlt sich an, als ob es mehr als 20 Quadratmeter sein sollten. Sauber und hygienisch. Der Service ist gut, wir kamen früh an und die Rezeption gab das Zimmer ohne ein Wort zu sagen. Das Restaurant im Hotel ist auch sehr gut und die Gerichte sind lecker. Einige ältere Leute vor Ort sagen, dass sie seit mehr als 20 Jahren im Restaurant essen.

Alles war perfekt. Ich wollte ein Hausbett für die Nacht und das war voll. Schöne Willkommen und mehr Frühstück, als ich essen konnte! Eigentlich viel schöner als ich erwartet hatte, was immer ein Gewinn ist.
