We stayed here for two nights to visit the castle and national trust gardens. The town is small so the hotel is within distance to the train station and to the castle. Room is fine although lighting is slightly dim. We requested an extra lamp that was promptly provided. Breakfast was typical English breakfast served in a very nice historical part of the hotel. The toiletries provided in the bathroom were very good quality and smells lovely. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Das Hotel war außergewöhnlich sauber und das Personal war sehr hilfreich. Das Frühstück war gut und wir konnten unseren Hund für einen kleinen zusätzlichen Gebühr nehmen. Wir werden zurück.

Absolutely wonderful. Id stayed at Durham Royal County before with my girlfriend. However she didn't come with ne this time due to reasons that she had. The staff at the hotel were lovely about it and made me feel better about tge situation and a lovely note and complementary drinks for me to come back to in my room. All I can say is thankyou and I'll look forward to staying with you again soon. Thanks Matthew

Great stay for my birthday! The Pin is fab with lots of activities to keep you busy. We upgraded the spa which was well worth the £60 each (the sunny weather also made this a great experience). The room was a fab size (deluxe double) and the food was delicious. We really enjoyed our stay and have booked again.

The hotel has a very good location, which is definitely a plus and makes it convenient for exploring the area. However, we were disappointed by a few additional charges. Bathrobes are provided only for an extra £8, and the hotel parking is also paid, which was not very convenient and added unexpected costs to the stay.

Hat ein schöner Aufenthalt nur Morgenseite war die Klimaanlage nicht im Zimmer funktioniert und es war der heißeste Tag des Jahres so was brauchte, das Personal versuchte, es zu reparieren.

An einer Geburtstagsfeier teilnahm. Personal ging oben und darüber hinaus. Zusätzlich ist es eine schöne Lage in schöner Lage und Umgebung. 30 Minuten zu Fuß in eine lebendige Stadt oder eine 5-minütige Autofahrt. Ich würde es für eine romantische Getaway oder mit Familie/freunden treffen. Das Personal war erstaunlich.

Our room was amazing and the atmosphere was sublime. Even though there was a wedding there, we enjoyed joining in and having fun. Great staff and the location was perfect. Although we assumed it was somewhere ticked away in the countryside, we were happy in any case as the hotel was beautiful.

Ein großer Aufenthalt. Personal war wunderschön und super hilfreich. Ein Problem mit meinem Zimmer bedeutete, dass ich schalten musste, aber das Personal ging so bald wie möglich. Pool war ein zusätzlicher Bonus wie die Sauna und Dampfraum. Will Def dort wieder bleiben, wenn Durham besucht.

Location was perfect for our needs, near to beautiful Yarm! The amenities were good and a dip in the pool was perfect after a hot day! Overall cleanliness was good, just needed a few touch up here and there, tiles missing in spa area a Nd our bathroom looked tired! Disappointed that there was no compensation for broken key card machine and we found this unnerving as it felt very ‘big brother’ being tracked on our every move! A drink at dinner, complimentary breakfasts or bar meal would have been a nice gesture!
