Für Ihren Komfort stehen Ihnen auf jeder Etage ein Wasserspender und ein Dörrgerät zur Verfügung. Die Grundnahrungsmittel zum Frühstück sind weißer Reis, gebratener Reis, Nudeln und Sandwiches. Es gibt täglich 5 bis 6 verschiedene Beilagen. Es gibt eine Obstsorte (Wassermelone) und Waffeln. Zu den Getränken gehören zwei Saftsorten und Instantkaffee. Es gibt nicht viele Sorten, aber sie sind alle köstlich und sättigend. Am Pool gibt es einen Kühlschrank, an dem Bier, Cola usw. verkauft werden. Das Bier kostete 100 Pesos. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und es war mein erster Besuch auf der Insel Siargao, aber ich hatte einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt.

I didn’t expect how nice the Watergate Hotel is. I chose this hotel because it’s close to the airport. I only stayed overnight and will surely come back for my next visit. The hotel is clean and cozy. The staff are friendly, and the service is great. I highly recommend this hotel to others or friends.

The food served at the hotel was excellent, with delicious meals that we genuinely enjoyed throughout our stay. Another major advantage is the hotel’s location, as it is conveniently within walking distance to Cloud 9, making it very accessible for guests who want to explore one of Siargao’s most popular attractions. Sie waren etwas snobistisch, und als wir in ihrem Massagezentrum eine Massage bekamen, entspannten wir uns am Ende unseres Urlaubs nicht, sondern mein Freund hatte stattdessen verspannte Schultern. Ich bin philippinischer Abstammung, aber nicht auf dem Land aufgewachsen und habe einen anderen Reisepass. Beim Einchecken fragte mich das Personal nach einem gültigen Ausweis auf Philippinisch, aber natürlich zeigte ich meinen Reisepass vor, aber sie verdrehte die Augen, als sie sah, dass ich einen Reisepass und nicht ihren vermeintlich „gültigen Ausweis“ hatte. Ich habe hier einfach so viel Verbitterung und Vorurteile von allen Mitarbeitern gespürt, weil Englisch meine Muttersprache ist und ich in meiner Kindheit und im Alltag kaum Philippinisch spreche, sodass sich ihre Einstellung mir gegenüber komplett ändert, weil sie denken, ich würde nur so tun oder anmaßend sein.

Although it was farther than expected, the hotel’s stunning surroundings and peaceful atmosphere more than made up for it. The well-maintained beach area offered a serene escape from the bustling city.In the evenings, I did encounter some occasional noise from nearby establishments. The loud music could be annoying at times, especially when seeking a peaceful ambiance. However, I found that during the majority of my stay, the hotel’s serene environment allowed me to unwind and relax, creating a balanced experience overall.I highly recommend POTB to those seeking a relaxing getaway with comfortable accommodations and impeccable service. I am happy to recommend Fat Lips Surf Lodge as a great place to stay in Siargao. The location is excellent—situated along Tourism Road in General Luna and conveniently close to popular spots such as AFAM Bridge (Catangnan Bridge), Catangnan BBQ, Shaka Café, and Cloud 9. It is also within easy reach of many of Siargao’s well-known restaurants, cafés, and tourist attractions. The place itself is cozy, aesthetic, and surrounded by lush greenery, creating a relaxing tropical atmosphere. The rooms are air-conditioned, and I was especially impressed by how clean and fresh the sheets and linens were. Having a private balcony overlooking the greenery was a wonderful bonus. Everything about the stay was smooth, hassle-free, and well-organized. Guests also have access to a shared kitchen, which is very convenient if you prefer to prepare or cook your own meals. One thoughtful touch that stood out was that they provide a coffee press along with freshly ground coffee beans for guests to enjoy—perfect for starting the day in a peaceful setting. Most importantly, the host was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and responsive throughout my stay, making the entire experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Fat Lips Surf Lodge offers great value, comfort, convenience, and a welcoming atmosphere. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Siargao.

Die komplimentären Toiletten wurden bei der Eincheckung nicht bereitgestellt, und die Duschedrain wurde verschlossen, was zu Wasser im Badezimmer aufgehoben. Die Wasserversorgung schien aus einem tiefen Wellen zu kommen und hatte einen unerfreulichen Geruch. Ich fand auch außergewöhnlich, dass die Kissen mit Bettwäsche bedeckt waren anstatt mit richtigen Kissen. Die enttäuschendste Erfahrung passierte um 1:30 Uhr, als der Empfänger unser Zimmer angerufen und uns aufwachte, um zu fragen, ob sie unsere Klimaanlage fern nehmen könnten. Wir erfuhren, dass drei andere Gäste Beschwerden eingebracht hatten, weil sie keine Klimaanlagen haben, und das Personal sagte, sie hätten nur eine Fernsehsuche zur Verfügung. Die Mitte der Nacht aufwachen, um ein internes Hotelproblem zu lösen, ist sehr unprofessionell und stört unsere Ruhe erheblich. Insgesamt, während die Zimmergröße, Erschwinglichkeit und kostenloses Frühstück positiv waren, müssen die Reinigung, Wartung und Service erheblich verbessert werden.
