Das Hotel Sahrai ist ein privates und schönes Hotel außerhalb der Medina, eine gute Wahl für Reisende, die außerhalb der Hügel und Büste der alten Stadt wohnen wollen. Die angebotenen Einrichtungen waren hochwertig, obwohl die Frühstücksauswahl und die Esszimmerqualität verbessert werden könnten. Das Hotel sitzt auf einem Hügel und das Dach hat einen schönen Blick auf die alten Medina und jüdischen Viertel. Dies ist eine gute Wahl, wenn Sie eine Menge Gepäck haben, da Autos nicht erlaubt sind, Sie in Riads in der Medina zu fallen.

My stay in Fez was truly memorable, thanks to the warmth and professionalism of Hager, the manager. We arrived later than planned, reaching the property at 11 p.m. instead of the expected 9 p.m., yet Hager welcomed us with kindness and patience, making us feel completely at ease despite the late hour. That first impression set the tone for the entire stay. Hager was also incredibly accommodating with breakfast. She kindly arranged breakfast earlier than the usual start time, and it was a delicious traditional Moroccan breakfast — fresh, generous, and beautifully prepared. It was one of the highlights of the stay and a perfect way to start the day. At the time of leaving Fez, I had arranged my transport independently, but the situation did not go as planned and became stressful. When Hager became aware of this, she went out of her way to help, reassured me, and kindly allowed me to stay at the property during the unexpected delay. The property is perfectly located in the heart of the medina, offering an authentic Fez experience while remaining peaceful and comfortable. The room was clean, well-maintained, and felt welcoming after long days of exploring. What truly stood out was the genuine care and hospitality throughout the stay. Hager’s calm, thoughtful, and supportive approach made a real difference and reflects the high standards of this place. I would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Fez — not just for the location and comfort, but for the exceptional hospitality you’ll experience here.

Wenn Sie in Fes bleiben, empfehle ich Ihnen hier zu bleiben. Personal ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit, Zimmer sauber und komfortabel, und das Hotel selbst als ein großes traditionelles marokkanisches Gefühl. Mohammed et al. machte uns sehr willkommen. Die Lage ist großartig, zu Fuß von Medina-Mazes entfernt. Brillante Aufenthalt und genossen Fes sehr.

Love this Riad, it is so clean and beautiful inside and the roof top with a nice Panorama view . Before arriving the riad, they sent me an email asking my WhatsApp so they can send me the exact location and so video clips for me to know how to get there since Google map doesn’t work when getting inside the Medina . They said if I really couldn’t find the way, they could pick me up in one of the entrances to the riad. I thought I could find it but I failed so I called them. One of the staff came out immediately and helped me my luggage. The two young staff there are very helpful and friendly. Since I was so late to arrive , so one staff (should be called Abdullah) brought me out again so I can Rmb how to get out and in again next time. The other young staff also brought me where I can find friendly convenient store nearby to get essentials. Love them and so helpful. The breakfast was nice too. The AC inside the Room is good and the water pressure and the heat were good too ! Highly recommend this Riad when u travel to fez next time. Rmb to bring ur amenities since they do not provide any bathing items or toothbrush. Recommend the riad to have a rubbish bin in the room instead of just inside the toilet.

Service de navette pour et de l’aéroport proposée par l établissement: assez pratique lorsqu’on arrive tard comme nous. Facturé 25€ (250 dirhams)inclus la majoration de 5€ pour service nocturne. Chambre propre et literie confortable Salle de bain très petite, douche sans bac, l eau coule directement sur le sol et l’eau met pas mal de temps à s écouler par le syphon: pas trop pratique si vous êtes pressés et que vous devez prendre votre douche l un après l’autre rapidement . Le support de pommeau de douche cassé, il fallait le tenir à la main Produits d hygiène a ramener, shampooing non fourni ( difficile quand on voyage avec bagage en cabine pour 2-3 jours) Service de petit déjeuner basique, dommage pour certains produits commerciaux ( olives noires et fromage quiri ) Crepe et brioche préparé sur place, elles étaient très bonne Emplacement parfait , juste à côté d un de suq de la vieille médina Pour manger il y a plein de restos sur place mais ils sont relativement chers car on est en zone touristique Ne pas hésiter à aller manger dans la ville nouvelle, on y va avec taxi pour 2€ par trajet (4€ a/r) Attention: l hôtel affirme accepter la carte bancaire mais nous n avons pas pu régler 170dirham(17€) par carte car commission trop importante . Que les montants élevés sont acceptés ( à prendre en compte si vous payez en fin de séjour et que vous avez l’argent compté) Wifi gratuit , terrasse sympa mais dommage ne pas y pouvoir prendre le petit dej Dans l ensemble séjour agréable et rapport qualité prix correcte

Классный риад! Дизайн внутри произведение искусства! Все прилично, чисто, гостиная вызывает восторг, номера тоже оформлены круто, санузел в порядке, никаких приколов и не приятных моментов не было. Менеджер отеля приветлив, поможет вам с вопросами и хорошо говорит по-английски (лучше пишите в вотсап). Хотите пожить в необычном, атмосферном и очень красивом месте, заселяйтесь без раздумий. Советую. Находится посреди медины, и придется немного поплутать в поисках, но это будет со всеми риадами внутри, тут либиринт) Кому-то в медине кажется грязновати, опасно, не понятно куда идти, но тут бояться нечего, и есть указатели на домах. Там же рынок и достопримечательности, почти все обходится пешком кроме смотровой площадки на верху города.

This hotel is better than it looks in many ways. The AC could be bigger, the power outlets could be more(total of 3 if you unplug the TV), an elevator would be nice, the bed could be fancier. But the bottom line is this place offers solid front desk service(though they don't pick up the phone when you call to ask for a taxi to pick you up), who are attentative to guest safety, and are straightforward with the cost (they didn't try to force us to pay extra fees). The whole hotel looks historical and classy and a bit old, but is very well taken care of: it is spotless clean, no bugs and no smells, which was a concern of ours. While a city square nearby had a noisy concert till past 2 am, the hotel itself is alcohol free, keeping the inside quiet and clean. The AC wasn't freezing, but it eventually cooled down the room to very comfortable levels. The bathroom was surprisingly spacious, and while there was soap and towels, there was no shampoo.

The experience we had at another Riad set very, very high expectations, so read this with that in mind :) I've worked and stayed in luxury hotels around the world, and if you're looking for a stunning hotel, with pleasant service this would be a top choice. However overall we were looking for more of an intimate experience. Staff were very nice; they were young, friendly, kind and caring. Travelling with my mother however, it felt very uncomfortable when I was asked 'how my wife was doing?!', this summed up the disconnection between the hotel and the experience. A beautiful hotel but short of a 4/5 star experience. It is one of the most stunning Riads you will stay at. The restaurant serves great food, and the views are amazing - if you can handle the three floors of steep steps. Overall, you won't be disappointed but it felt like when we stayed there was no manager for those extra touches you expect when paying this much.

Das Aufenthaltsverhalten bei Dar D’or Fez war wirklich einer der Highlights meiner Zeit in Fes. Dieser schöne Riad erfasst perfekt den Charme und die Echtheit der marokkanischen Gastfreundschaft. Das Design ist erstaunlich, traditionelle Architektur mit komplizierten Details, farbigen Fliesen und einem ruhigen Hof, der sich wie eine versteckte Oase in der büstenden Medina fühlt. Jede Ecke ist gemütlich dekoriert, so dass es sowohl gemütlich als auch visuell beeindruckend. Die Mitarbeiter waren unglaublich warm und willkommen, immer bereit, mit Richtungen, Empfehlungen oder einfach eine freundliche Chat zu helfen. Ihre Gastfreundschaft machte den Aufenthalt persönlich und erinnerebar. Das Frühstück war ein weiterer Highlight frisch, lecker und serviert in einer entspannenden Lage. Es war der perfekte Weg, den Tag zu beginnen, bevor wir die lebendigen Straßen der Medina erkunden. Die Lage ist hervorragend, nahe genug zu großen Attraktionen, aber in einer ruhigen Gegend gefangen gehalten, so dass eine ruhige Nacht Schlaf

It’s not a bad hotel, but its rooms are a bit old. I paid 1400D to ask for a normal double room and asked it to be “quite” but it’s not. The room locates right next to a main street so during the whole night you can hear endless cars, motors and police car alarms. The window fully closed yet blocked no noise. AC needs to be replaced to new one as it howling every few minutes like a diesel engine. The room is big and clean though. I had to wait for 25 minutes to check in. I don’t blame the staff as they were just too busy. They only have 3 people at the reception and they need to deal with frequent customer requirements, individual customers and tour groups at the same time! If this were just an ordinary 2–3 star hotel, I wouldn’t have much to complain about. However, for a resort charging 1,400 dirhams per night, this level of management and infrastructure really needs to be updated and improved.
