Das Shiroyama Hotel in Kagoshima ist ein altes Fünf-Sterne-Hotel, das 1963 gegründet wurde. Der derzeitige Kaiser und die Kaiserin von Japan haben hier übernachtet. Man kann ohne Übertreibung sagen, dass dieses Hotel das beste Hotel in Kagoshima ist. Die Adresse dieses Hotels liegt auf dem Gipfel von Shiroyama, dem Schauplatz des Südwestkriegs. Nur 5 Gehminuten vom Hoteleingang entfernt befindet sich die Aussichtsplattform Shiroyama, von der aus Sie einen kostenlosen Shuttlebus zum JR-Bahnhof Kagoshima haben , die jede halbe Stunde fährt. Alle Hotelmitarbeiter sind freundlich und gut ausgebildet. Die Einrichtungen im Hotel sind sehr umfassend und es gibt viele Restaurants, darunter japanische und westliche Restaurants. Ich persönlich empfehle das Halbbuffet im The Lounge Casablanca im 4. Stock. Es gibt eine Auswahl an Vorspeisen und Suppen. Für den letzten Nachtisch schiebt Ihnen der Kellner einen Wagen und fragt Sie, was Sie möchten. Das Hotel verfügt über eine eigene Bäckerei und einen Dessertladen und seine Desserts sind auch an einer Theke im JR-Bahnhof Kagoshima vertreten. Das große Badehaus des Hotels verfügt über eine heiße Quelle im Freien, von der aus Sie Sakurajima in der Ferne überblicken können. Das Wichtigste ist, dass dieses Hotel nicht teuer ist! Wenn ich das nächste Mal nach Kagoshima reise, werde ich auf jeden Fall in diesem Hotel übernachten.

Its a good place as a onsen resort hotel. The onsens are really good. The food is so so but they provide free flow ramen and ice-pop at night as supper and snack. The room is spacious, clean and quiet. There is a private onsen tub at the balcony of our room. It is so nice to enjoy it in the breezy spring. It will be better if you have own car to stay here. There do not have much choice of public transport direct to the hotel. But hotel staffs are also helpful to assist you to grab a taxi to any scenic spots nearby. The taxi drivers are all very nice. Even they can not speak english well, they tried very best to drive slowly when we pass by beautiful sakura park and use simple english to introduce few scenic places. The hotel limousine provided us one way when we arrived the jingu station and one way when we checked out from the hotel to jingu for free. I like their service and have great stays here!

Richmond hotel was located opposite a big department store, with easy access to bus and trams. A combini is just opposite the hotel. They have a wider range of personal amenities to pick at the lobby. They have 3 machines to handle checkout, exchange currency (e.g. 1000¥ to 100¥ coins for laundry machines on 6th floor, or break 10,000¥ to smaller notes). The machines also accept your hotel parking charges. When it was raining, hotel provided full size umbrellas for use, without deposit or giving room numbers, which is very convenient. It has a car park with limited lots, so if you can secure one ,it will be very easy to unload and load your bags. Costs 2400¥ for 2 nights of parking. Main place for food is closer to Tenmonkan area, which is walkable.

Obwohl die Hoteleinrichtungen nicht neu sind, ist die Umgebung ruhig, die Zimmer sind groß, es gibt ein großes Bad zum Entspannen und Frühstück und Abendessen sind inklusive. Ob an der Rezeption oder im Restaurant, das Personal ist erfahren und der Service ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Es gibt auch einen Flughafenshuttle und einen Supermarkt in der Nähe. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist sehr gut. Ich werde es wieder wählen, wenn ich das nächste Mal Yakushima besuche.

I really enjoyed my two-night stay at Samana Hotel Yakushima. The atmosphere during my visit was very peaceful, and the staff were consistently warm, professional, and attentive. The onsen was a real highlight, beautifully maintained and deeply relaxing, and the view from my room was absolutely spectacular. Although it was whale season while I was there, I did not manage to see any whales this time, but that simply gives me another reason to come back. If there is one small area for improvement, it would be the dining experience. While the food was perfectly fine, it felt rather ordinary compared with the overall quality and standard of the hotel. A more varied and distinctive selection, particularly at the buffet, would better match the hotel’s otherwise excellent experience. Overall, a truly lovely stay, and one I would happily recommend.

Das Resort ist wirklich schön und auch die günstigsten Zimmer sind gross, hell und geniessen eine ruhige Atmosphäre. Der hoteleigene Dive Shop ist eine 10/10 - das Team (Kyo!) ist grandios, sehr aufmerksam und die ausgewählten Divesites sind einmalig! Einen Abzug gibts beim Service, zumal ich mehrfach via E-Mail das Hotel resp. das Frontdesk angeschrieben, aber keine Antwort erhalten habe. Das Pick-up am Hafen hat nicht geklappt. Als wir für einen Upgrade des Zimmer via Trip.com-Chat gefragt haben, wurde uns gesagt, die Stornobedingungen werden zu 100% angewendet. Das Upgrade wollten wir selbstverständlich bezahlen… Es gibt eine Hotelbar, all-you-can-drink für alle Gäste, laut Öffnungszeiten bis 17.30 Uhr. Aber noch vor 17.00 wir alles abgebaut und nicht mehr nachgefüllt. Alles in allem ein toller Resort, mit Luft nach oben.

Die schöne Meereslandschaft kann sofort von der Tür in den Halle gelangen. Es ist nicht zu versuchen, zu gehen. Der Balkon des Zimmers steht auch vor einer ganzen Meeresszene. Jeden Tag steigt die Sonne auf und ist weit entfernt vom Meer zu wundern! Die Mahlzeiten sind auch nicht zu denken, lokale Eigenschaften, frisch und lecker!

Während meines Aufenthalts im Hotel war das Personal sehr freundlich, und die Zimmer waren sauber und gepflegt. Ich war beeindruckt von der Vielfalt der Annehmlichkeiten und dem ausgezeichneten Essen. Die Lage war zudem sehr günstig in der Nähe von Sehenswürdigkeiten. Ich möchte auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Das Hotel wurde 2023 neu eröffnet. Es hat eine ausgezeichnete Lage mit Blick auf Sakurajima und bietet eine wunderschöne Aussicht. Unser Kind war krank, als wir eincheckten. Frau Gujing an der Rezeption beantragte auch einen kostenlosen Late-Check-out für uns und gab uns Eisaufkleber und viel Wasser. Der Service war rücksichtsvoll und rücksichtsvoll. Das Hotel verfügt über einen Shuttlebus zum JR-Bahnhof Kagoshima-Chuo, der alle 30 Minuten verkehrt. Eine Reservierung ist nicht erforderlich. Äußerst praktisch!

When getting in the room, there is a musty smell that might be from the carpet but after turn on the purifier and run for hours the smell is gone. The hotel bed is comfortable, although the room is small but the toilet size is big enough. The location is also convenient as it is in front of the train and bus station, the airport bus just drop off besides the hotel. When depart back to the airport, you just need to go down to level 1 for the bus ticket and bus. There is also a lawson downstairs, and there are a few restaurant on the lg floor which is not part of the hotel. The hotel even have adapter when to borrow as I forget mine. I forgot to put up the “do not disturb” sign on the door, house keeping come in to clean and tidy the bed, change the towel but very thoughtful as they did not move any of my stuff that are on the table as I might feel very uncomfortable if stuff is moved. The tv is working quite well, youtube all are working fine. Amenities are sufficient too, the toothbrush is so nice and I like the scrubbing towel they offer. There is also free umbrella provided that must return after use. The hotel even have a nice view on the reception floor which you can see the volcano from there.
