Strand-Hotels in Sardinien, Italien

It is located in the Chia Laguna, one of the clusters of 4 and 5 stars of hotels. Beautifully managed landscapes and access to private beaches make this resort very attractive. However, it is for those who don't care about the quality of the hotel and for those who want to just sleep at night and take the most of the activities outside of the room. In terms of quality of the room, it requires lots of attention. You are most likely to enter your room through the sliding door, and then there is your bed, and there is a bathroom with a shower and toilet, bidet, and the sink. The bed is not comfortable, and there is a weird sewage smell coming from the bathroom, we had to spray our perfume and close the bathroom door, and leave the bathroom windows open. Typically, the hotel bathroom is a joy to enter, but this bathroom was one of those bathrooms that wanted to get out as fast as possible, especially with sewage smell. I had to dry my hair outside of bathroom so the sewage smell doesn't get to my hair. (Enough said) On top of our not-so-impressed experience, our neighbor left the TV on loud and party in their room until 3am, we couldn't sleep at all. Contacted the front desk at 1am, but loud noise still continued. Thank God, we only had to stay 1 night. I would have looked for another hotel if we had to stay one more night. Hotel reservations came with 2 meals, breakfast, and a dinner buffet. It was one of the worst food experiences not only in Italy but also in all the places we have ever been. At a glance, the buffet seemed fine and attractive, but as soon as we started tasting the food, we felt right away, we cannot expect much. Most of the dishes were extremely salty, lacked flavors, and the quality of each ingredient was bad compared to the dishes that we experienced in Cagliari. If you only care about the location and the beautiful beach access, this is the place for you, but if you care about all the aspects of what the resort hotel supposed to offer, it might be wise to either spend a bit more money and stay at either Curio or Conrad properties or consider different location or hotels. Good standard hotel with spacious if somewhat dated but clean rooms and a nice pool with bar. Great location if you want to be close to Olbia Terranova train station as it’s next door. The hotel is a 10 minute walk from the old town. Rooms do not have soundproofing so not ideal for light sleepers. I arrived at 12:30 and was told the room would be ready between 2and 3p. As check-in officially starts at 2pm I sat down and waited patiently only to see some other guests get a room straight away. At 2:15pm a Dutch guest kicked up a fuss when he was told his room wasn’t ready and he too was then given a room. At this point I protested (having waited for 1hr30) and then also got a room. Whilst the reception staff were friendly this was not a great check-in experience.

Die Hotelrezeptionisten waren alle sehr höflich und geduldig, fast wie Butler in einer britischen Fernsehserie, haha. Die Ausstattung war gut: Duschen, Warmwasser, bereitgestellte Toilettenartikel und ein Minikühlschrank mit verschiedenen kostenpflichtigen Getränken. Bettwäsche und Handtücher waren makellos sauber; das Hotel legt Wert auf Umweltfreundlichkeit und fördert die Wiederverwendung. Vom kleinen Balkon hatte man Meerblick. Die Lage des Hotels ist hervorragend, mit sehr bequemen Parkmöglichkeiten. Nur wenige Meter entfernt befindet sich ein privater Yachtanleger, von dem aus man Bootsausflüge buchen kann. In der Nähe gibt es ein Touristenzentrum, wo man Hin- und Rückfahrkarten für das Boot zum Nationalpark La Madalena Islands kaufen kann. Direkt neben dem Hotel befindet sich ein Supermarkt mit frischem Gemüse, Obst und Brot.

Das Hotel liegt direkt vor einem großen Strand. Super nicht touristisch und besetzter Strand und die Landschaft ist sehr weich und ruhig. Es gibt einen Katze-und-Hund im Hotel, der nur frei umgewandelt. Sie sind sowohl sehr freundlich und Spaß zu spielen !!! Was die Zimmer betrifft, ist es für ein 3-Personenzimmer angemessen groß. Toilette ist sauber mit ausreichenden Ausstattung. Wasserdruck des Duschekopfs ist manchmal etwas schwach, aber immer noch ok. Die Betten sind ausreichend komfortabel. Es gibt jedoch ein bisschen Insekten, die umher fliegen (vor allem aufgrund der Lage des Hotels in der Nähe des Strands und Sandgebiete). Das Restaurant im Hotel ist ziemlich gut ! Essmenü hat eine breite Palette, aber die Verfügbarkeit von Gerichten hängt vom Tag ab. Im Frühstück wird eine ganze Handvoll Nahrungsmittel wie Obstfleck, Kreuzungen, Joghurt, Getreide und die Auswahl von Getränken gegeben. Das Hotel ist sehr klein, aber ehrlich genug für einen kurzen Aufenthalt.

We absolutely loved our stay at Il Nuovo Gabbiano. The location is fantastic, right next to the port and in the centre of everything. The beach is only a 2 minute walk away! The view from the balcony was incredible with stunning views of the sea and mountains. Despite it being right next to the port, noise was minimal. Breakfast was extra at €14pp each day however we chose to buy juice and pastries from the nearby supermarket to have out on the balcony every morning. The room was fairly big and contained a mini bar (only containing bottles of water) and coffee/tea making facilities. The hotel itself was clean and the staff were always friendly and helpful. There’s no parking, however we parked in the port across the road for €6 per day. We came later in the day so we managed to find a spot, it gets quite packed early morning. The hotel restaurant does great food, I would recommend the Sardinian ravioli with potatoes and cheese!

The hotel is very clean and the staff at the reception is very welcoming and helpful! Breakfast is average. Parking is 15 euros per day but you can find free parking on the street nearby. The hotel is about 1.3km away from the port and there is a shuttle bus taking you there every hour from 9:30am to 7pm. It is walkable, but you have to climb up the hill when you walk back. Our room is facing the main road and some motorbikes were very noisy. It’s also interesting that they charge (around 2 euros) for refilling your water bottle, claiming this is to help the environment while you can buy a bottle of water less than 1 euro in a shop. We stayed in a different hotel and they have similar policies. I feel this is making money in the name of environmental protection. If it’s really for environment protection, I would suggest to offer free refilling.

Gegenüber befindet sich ein Park und bis zum Kerngebiet sind es nur 1 km. Für Stadtwanderer ist es ein gutes Hotel mit akzeptablen Konditionen und Einrichtungen🏨. Der Parkplatz 🅿️ ist 300 m entfernt, daher ist es nett, keine Gebühr zu erheben. Das Frühstück ist nicht schlecht

Sehr gute Lage, nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß vom stärksten Bereich. Komfortable Zimmer und freundliches Personal Unser Flug ging spät aus und sie haben uns den ganzen Tag die Taschen gehalten und haben uns sogar in die Spa-Zone gelassen, eine Dusche zu nehmen.

Very attentive, well mannered and very professional staff, it was such a pleasure to stay here. Very relaxing and we enjoyed the Bistro restaurant a lot. Great staff again and really enjoyed the food. Rooms were very comfortable and clean, with everything you need! Can't fault anything about this place apart from the mosquitoes... not their fault obviously but just to let other patrons know to use bugs repellent and cover up at night. We stayed in other places in Sardinia and it's the same so not just here. We will definitely come back.

We enjoyed our stay in Sardegna. The hostess was very welcoming, kind, and always positive, making us feel at home. The breakfast was good, and the location is excellent—about a 10-minute walk from both the coast and the historic center. The only downsides were that the sink and shower drains were clogged throughout our stay, and towel changes cost €4 per person. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and appreciated the warm hospitality.
