My Stay at Ropewalks Hotel: Totally Worth It! Just got back from a quick overnight at Ropewalks Hotel in Liverpool and had to share my thoughts! For just £46 — and let's be real, saved a solid chunk thanks to those Trip.com coins — this little spot delivered way more than I expected for a city break. The location? **Perfect.** Right in the heart of the Ropewalks district, which means you're steps away from some of the coziest bars, indie eateries, and amazing street art. I came for a quick solo adventure, and being so close to everything made it super easy to explore without wasting time on transport. I stayed **Monday, August 11 to Tuesday, August 12, 2025** — just one night — and check-in after 3 PM was smooth. No waiting, no hassle. Check-out before 11 AM was equally chill. The room itself was modern, comfy, and spotlessly clean — exactly what I needed. Not five-star fancy, but everything worked, it felt cared for, and I actually got a great night's sleep. One thing I really appreciated? **The transparency.** The bulk was paid upfront, and I only had to hand over £2.40 on-site — no surprise fees. Plus, knowing Trip.com backs it with a price match and stay guarantee gave me peace of mind. Loved that I could message or call the hotel directly through the app, and the ”Manage Booking” feature made the whole process feel seamless. Felt like I was in control the whole time. Is this a resort with a spa and champagne service? Nope. But it's not pretending to be. Ropewalks Hotel is a no-nonsense, affordable city stay that **delivers exactly what it promises**: a clean bed in a great location at a fair price. **Would I book again? In a heartbeat.** If you're planning a fun, quick getaway in Liverpool, this place is definitely worth a look!

Die Lage ist sehr gut, gegenüber dem Museum und dem Meer sowie der Beatles-Statue, was zum Einchecken sehr praktisch ist. Nebenan befindet sich das größte Einkaufszentrum in Liverpool, das First Department Store, wo Sie essen, einkaufen, Wasser kaufen und spazieren gehen können! Es hat plötzlich geregnet und das Hotel kann per Selbstscan einen Regenschirm für ☂️2 Euro für 48 Stunden mieten. Das Zimmer ist komplett ausgestattet, das Wäschewaschen ist bequem und das Waschbecken ist groß und bietet reichlich Wasser. Am nächsten Tag war alles erledigt. Das Frühstück gibt es im ersten Stock, es gab keine Bananen. Auf Nachfrage hat der Koch sie extra an unseren Esstisch gebracht. Auch Haferflocken gibt es hier.

Die Lage ist großartig, wenn Sie Albert Dock und den Beetles Shop in der Nähe besuchen. Auch ist es nahe genug, John Lewis und andere Geschäfte/Restaurants zu gehen. Würde diese Unterkunft für diejenigen empfehlen, die sich selbst besetzen können.

Die Eincheckung war schrecklich mit langen Warteschlangen, obwohl wir die Online-Check-in verwendet hatten. Wartend eine halbe Stunde, da jeder Kunde die Stadtsteuer zahlen musste und haben alle ihre Details in den Computer eingegeben und eine verschwenderische A4 Papierwerk in einem anderen Raum gedruckt, bevor sie mit Türschlüsseln vorgestellt und stapelt. Während der Wartezeit gab es eine Frau, die auf dem Personal rannte und schrie über ihren Sohn, der im Hotel gekommen war. Sie sagte, er sei erlaubt, **** ****** in seinem Zimmer. Sie wurde begleitet. Nur ein Aufzug arbeitete, was schmerzhaft war, weil ich Schwierigkeiten habe zu Fuß und war auf dem fünften Stock. Aufzugsstümpfe von ********. Hotel schien viele Leute zu beherbergen, die leider selbst zu Hause gefunden hatten. Das Zimmer sah datiert aus und das Teppich wurde mit Bügeln aus Eisen bedeckt. Das Bett war schön und komfortabel und das Leinen war sauber. Die Badezimmerfliesen waren gefüllt mit Seife und fette Händedrucke. Das Badezimmer-Deckel wurde in Form bedeckt. Badezimmer in dringender Notwendigkeit von Update und tiefe Reinigung. Das Bad war gelb mit Alter und sah aus, als war es installiert, als die Zeit begann. Die Tee- und Kaffeebereitungsanlagen im Zimmer waren angemessen, aber die Behälter für die Kaffee- und Teebeutel waren sehr unrein und sahen aus, als ob sie nie ausgewaschen werden. Es waren Zigarettenverbrennungen und Farben auf den Gräben. In der Regel war ich wirklich enttäuscht. Wir waren vor etwa 20 Jahren hier geblieben und das ist ein schönes Hotel mit Schneidern und großem Dekor unten. Der Ort sah gerade vernachlässigt aus und floh in den Boden mit minimalem Personal, sehr grundlegender Reinigung und keine kürzlich renovierte.

Schöne ruhige Zimmer, aber die Plug-Socken wo weit vom Bett entfernt, insgesamt schöne gemütliche Zimmer mit komfortablen Betten

Das Frühstück ist großartig, die Rezeption ist effizient und der Service ist gut. Die Zimmereinrichtungen sind modern und komfortabel zum Leben😌 Restaurants und Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Nähe sind alle zu Fuß erreichbar, und die Aussicht vom Hotelzimmer ist wunderschön.

When we arrived, we noticed we had been given a far inferior room than we've ever had before. The view was terrible. There was no fridge which we have always had before and the room looked 'tired'...in need of TLC. I went to reception to tell them I was not happy. Anyway they did sort it. Gave us another room with a better view and the young girl on reception brought us an old, but working mini fridge.. so it worked out OK in the end ( I need a fridge to put some of my medication in.) Another lady on the desk was very curt when I said there was no fridge and stated....not all rooms automatically have a fridge in them. Sorry but I thought they did. Whoever makes loose leaf tea in the restaurant needs to learn it is 1 tsp of tea per person and 1 for the pot. In this case 3tsp of tea and not half a teapot full. I kid you not. See pic below. We got a refund for some of the tea, but nit for the cream tea my friend had. My friend had ordered a cream tea and me, just a tea. Yet they brought a pot of tea for 2, which is the wrong etiquette for an order like this. Hence we only got 2 cups out of it, because of the amount of loose tea in there. I think I have been spoiled by the superior standard of the rooms, when we have stayed before....I just presumed all their rooms would be like this

I would have given our stay 5 stars but our room (103) was right above Mathew street and the live music went on until 2am. Hard to get a good nights sleep. Everything else about the hotel was absolutely perfect. Location, amenities, food and service.

Reception staff very welcoming and helpful. Nothing too much bother for anyone. Our room fridge didn't work and we were offered to keep any items in the general fridge in Reception. Lovely hotel and quiet. Could hear some train noise which is to be expected located next door to Lime Street. Ideal location to explore Liverpool and Luggage Service was a bonus. Would stay here again.

Fabulous hotel only a 2 minute walking distance from lime street station, perfectly located near to the theater and in walking distance from some great restaurants and bars. Clean, comfy rooms with friendly staff. The liner will be my go to budget friendly hotel when visiting Liverpool from now on.
