Layout of room was kind of strange. The bed is on a weird platform that might be difficult to navigate for less agile people, or those who are sleepy or otherwise impaired. Bathroom was overly small. It has a kitchenette, but no microwave. The location is in the heart of the most touristy part of Reykjavik. This is the third hotel I’ve stayed in while traveling to Reykjavik. The others, both lower priced, were not afflicted with the smell of sulphur (rotten eggs) in the water. It is possible to filter this out, and a person paying the price this hotel is asking should be able to expect better quality water. If you want to be in the thick of the tourist action and don’t mind smelly water, this place is OK. Otherwise…

Wir waren als 5köpfige Familie in einem Apartment mit 2 Schlafzimmern, Und haben es sehr genossen. Der Luxus eines Hotels mit der Privatssphäre einer Ferienwohnung. Jeden Tag wird einem ein reichlicher Korb mit Frühstück nachgefüllt, morgens gibt es frisches Brot vor die Tür geliefert. Eine Kaffeemaschine mit verschiedensten Kapseln unterschiedlicher Heißgetränke fürs Frühstück ist auch vorhanden. Super organisiert. Das gesamte Apartment ist bestens ausgestattet, perfekt sauber, hat tolle Bäder und bequeme Betten. In der kleinen Küchenzeile kann man sich auch mal ein Abendessen zubereiten. Jeden Nachmittag kommt der Zimmerservice. Einzig negative Punkte: Es gibt keinen Parkplatz. Das Parken im öffentlichen Raum vor dem Apartment ist ziemlich teuer. Und: statt einer Plastikkarte zum Öffnen der Außentür und der Apartmenttür soll man sich eine App aufs Handy laden, und dann mithilfe eines Codes die Türen öffnen. Dies hat zuerst funktioniert, nach zwei Tagen dann nicht mehr (wahrscheinlich wegen WLAN-Problemen), weswegen nachts jemand von der Rezeption aus einem anderen Gebäude kommen musste, um uns Plastikkarten zu bringen. Etwas umständlich. Insgesamt können wir das Hotel uneingeschränkt empfehlen, und würden bei einem weiteren Besuch in Island wieder hier buchen.

Die Erfahrung ist sehr gut und sehr sauber. Es gibt eine kleine Küche mit kompletten Küchenutensilien und sogar Küchenpapier. Es gibt kein Frühstück. Obwohl die Rezeption früh Feierabend hat, kann man sich die Schlüssel selbst abholen. Der Standort ist nicht leicht zu finden. The location was perfect in that in was in the heart of Reykjavik - shops, restaurants, and a block away from a main bus pick up stop (#6) for tours. Bad thing was it was close to everything including bars and on Saturday night, it was pretty loud till about 2/3 am. Weeknights were fine for us, probably more noise from fighting seagulls than rowdy people. The apartment itself was difficult to find since it was behind the main building, through a short alley be tween the Vietnamese restaurant and gift shop. We asked a local at the gift shop to locate it. And despite there being graffiti on the walls, we never felt unsafe and have returned past midnight before. We stayed in #301, third floor apartment that was basically a studio with 2 twin beds, a sofa bed, small round table with a few chairs, microwave, dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer combo, all utensils/settings. There’s also a small balcony shared with the apartment next to us. The exterior and apartment doors were accessible via codes. Great because no keys are needed, but could be tricky to unlock. An alarm will sound after a few incorrect attempts. The apartment looked great. Simple, neutral colors. We couldn’t figure out whether the place was cleaned though since one twin bed sheet had a little stain and one of the pillowcase had a little something stuck to it. And it didn’t smelled fresh, though could be it hasn’t been booked in a while? We only slept there and didn’t use any of the appliances, including the coffee maker, so don’t know if they worked or if they supplied detergents. We did notice that there’s a note you had to empty trash under the sink. The spots on our sheet and the one pillowcase were not confirmed or enough to be a big concern for us. Overall, we liked the place mostly for convenience. But if you’re a light sleeper, this might not be a good choice. Also want to note they were very responsive via email. And lastly, on street parking which you’ll need to download app to pay between 9 am and 6 pm.

The apartment provided everything we needed for our short stay. It was clean and a good size for our family of 4. The owner was friendly and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. The location is what makes this stand out. In the center of Reykjavík and only one street away from the main shopping area. There is a well served bus stop right outside the front door. The only negative is that the kitchen could benefit from some additional utensils, particularly a pair of scissors and a sharp knife. Highly recommended, mainly due to the fantastic location.

Vier von uns blieben Mitte September, es war eine günstigere Option gerade außerhalb von Reykavik. Perfekte Lage, direkt an der Busshalte vom Flughafen und der Bushalte nach Zentrale Reykavik, die nur eine halbe Stunde dauerte. Freier Parkplatz auf der Website und Sie müssen nicht durch den Hauptstadtverkehr zu erreichen alles. Zimmer war sauber und perfekt für unsere Ankunft eingerichtet, Check-in ist 3pm, aber Gepäcklager auf der Website, wenn Sie früh. Der beste Teil war das Personal - jede Frage, die ich über booking.com Sender gestellt habe, wurde hilfreich beantwortet und innerhalb einer halben Stunde. Wir baten einen Tag um frische Handtücher und sie wurden uns innerhalb von 15 Minuten gegeben - so wunderschöner Service und wunderschöne Menschen. Ruhe Zimmer und einfache Anweisungen, um in und aus zu kommen. Das Zimmer, das wir gewählt haben, war am besten für einen Freundenurlaub, da es 4 von uns in einem Zimmer war, aber alle Einzelbetten und komfortable, und absolut wert es für den Preisunterschied im Vergleich zu einem Hotel in zentraler Reykavik. Schöner Ort zu bleiben und konnte nicht mehr empfehlen :)

My husband and I stayed in this apartment for six nights during our holiday in Reykjavik for our wedding anniversary. The building is accessed by entering a code and it is possible to use the luggage storage even before check-in at 3 pm and after check-out at 10 am The apartment is located in front of a bus stop which allows you to reach the bus station and the city center in 10 minutes. Having the well equipped kitchen in the room with the table and chairs allowed us to relax and dine in the room. Great sleep quality with comfortable beds and pillows. We didn't notice any outside noise thanks to the soundproof windows. Extremely clean rooms and kindness of the staff. Absolutely recommended.

What a pleasant stay. Our flat had it all what was needed, space in spades, a nice kitchen (with a small terrace), great living room, a big bathroom, a room with a comfy bed. Everything was comfortable, and the location is great, better than we thought it would be. Close to the heart of touristic Reykjavik, with a supermarket just some meters away… Only drawbacks was that parking is quite small, just good for four cars -there’s a public parking quite close-, and that it’s got no elevator. We were on the fourth and last floor -third in reality, as ground floor is already named 1-, but that turned out to have a magical effect: on our first night, thanks to not having any more storeys above us, we unadvertily spotted big and wonderful northern lights in the night sky, something we wouldn’t have noticed if we didn’t have that terrace in the kitchen with nothing above us. So, magical stay here.

I had a wonderful stay. The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The location was perfect for reaching different areas on foot or by car. Parking was always available right in front. The surrounding area has a supermarket within steps. So convenient. Communication was easy. I definitely recommend a stay here and I will stay again.
