Lovely friendly place next to the river. Plenty of parking facilities just over the bridge which is approx five minute walk.  The room itself is spacious enough although for some may be a little dated. Bed is comfortable with a lovely duvet and pillows. Only downside was the curtains which are not blackout so do let in too much light for me but heyho I still had a reasonable night sleep  To get to the room we stayed in, we had to walk up a spiral staircase which for some people, this could be a struggle as the steps have been assembled quite tightly due to space so make the steps on the small side, there is obviously a handrail so coming down side ways helps.  Breakfast was continental consisting of fruit, cereal, yoghurt ( which was exceptionally tasty) toast etc. An English breakfast was offered at an additional cost but we preferred this option.  All in all a lovely place to stay with friendly welcoming hosts who were on hand to offer advise and assistance should you need it.

A must stay for couples! The view was incredible (you can see in the photos below)! We also had a fantastic meal at The Rockfish restaurant, and the hotel’s location couldn’t be more convenient for all the shops/bars/restaurants in the harbour. The parking provided by the hotel was at the harbour itself, and was very convenient. We used self check-in, it was so quick and easy we could just get on with our short trip and waste no time! At breakfast we had the pleasure of meeting the owners, aside from the delicious (made to order) breakfast, the service was incredible. Highly recommend!

Cosy, clean, and with a warm welcome for all, treat yourself to an exceptionally great stay at a reasonable price.

If you are not sure where to stay - don’t waste any time looking elsewhere, I can 100% recommend staying at Arran Lodge. We were so impressed with how well we were looked after, a clean and kept room with everything you might possibly need, including a welcome treat - homemade cake, space to park the car outside the house, a welcome reception and the most wonderful breakfast choice! Have stayed here a few times and always enjoyed it. The rooms are a bit dated, but are all lovely and clean, Thats all that matters. The staff are friendly and the facilities are very good. Indoor and outdoor pool which are clean and warm. The breakfast is lovely too, With a choice of full English, Continental or vegetarian. So everyone is covered 😊 10 minutes walk to the seafront, pubs, Amusements. Will definitely be staying yet again 😊

Great location, only 5 minutes walk from Exeter St David's train station. I've only stayed for one night due to business travelling. The breakfast variety and service experience was great, a good variety of refreshments. The building itself shows its age, and my floor was very squeaky, I hope there were no tenants below me! I've opted on with the shared bathroom option and the bathroom was sparkling clean. Overall great place!

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt Sam der Bartender war ein Superstar, der uns vor dem Dunkeln vor dem Klippen gerettet hat. Danke Sam für Yr Freundlichkeit und Hilfe und mit unserem Taschen tragen! Der Gesamtaufenthalt war erstaunlich. Sauber und frisch Zimmer. Frühstück stand mit Ladungen der Wahl. Service war fabulös. Der Reiniger war so hilfreich, als wir Informationen benötigten. Vielen Dank. Und Sam sind wir so dankbar. Wir dachten, wir könnten über Nacht auf dem Südwestenweg Campen müssen!!!

Wir reservierten ein Zimmer mit Meerblick. Das erklärte sich klar im Buchung und auf der Reise. Das bedeutet offensichtlich nichts nach dem Manager und die Tatsache, dass man ein Buchen kann, bedeutet nicht, dass man es bekommt, sagte er. Ich bezweifle, dass es Meerblicke von jedem Zimmer gibt, da das Pub auf einer Seitenstraße ist. Noch sehr guter Ort. Das Personal, das uns begrüßt hat, hätte nicht schöner gewesen sein können. Nahe an guten Restaurants.

Late review here. Very very nice welcome from the owners - couldn’t have been nicer. Exactly as described. Sadly had to leave early in the mornings but heard from another guest that the breakfast was delicious. Easy to find, ample parking both on street and nearby huge car park if needed. Quiet, yet only 5 minutes walk from shops and pubs etc. Value for money would stay again.
