Serene walk
Lovely easy walk. Well maintained trails. Quiet and serene. I am so glad we stopped after getting of the south ferry and before boarding the north ferry.
Simple Beauty on Shelter Island
The visitors center had a beautiful display of all the natural wonders of the preserve. We enjoyed watching the birds at the window! The trails were clean and easy to walk! Highly recommend this place...
Well worth doing
I was staying nearby and it looked interesting - I like water and fishing and visited. Access is easy which I like. The Rams head (see my review) is a good place to eat well and not outrageously expen...

Beautiful Peaceful Preserve
One of the better, more peaceful and less visited preserves in the Long Island region. We enjoyed seeing the osprey perches, birds and ground squirrels all running around. The red trail is 1.5 miles...
