great way sto see local animals. live and mounted.
Nowhere else have I been able to hold my arms out to my sides and compare my arm span with local birds. I am an eagle. Examples of many native plants can be seen and much more.

Sky island above the plains
I don't know if this truly counts as a 'sky island', but it is a small mountain with pine trees above the plains. It's a nice stop after about 50 miles from I-80 going toward Scottsbluff. Admission ...
