Beautiful and a fairly safe location
Very, very beautiful. Has a small gift shop. The exterior is exquisite. Must visit. We felt very safe outside as well. Seems to be a nice location with beautiful houses near by.

Loved the various people of Brazil represented above the altar
Interesting. Check out the paintings in the mini museum next to the cathedral. They are about colonial times.
