This place speaks a lot about the Portuguese modern history. Some of the National Democracy Fathers' have been held in there as Political inmates

Short afternoon trip

The Fort itself was nice, but nothing exceptional. I would however recommend going just for the exhibition regarding political prisoners held in the Fort. Note it does not open until 2pm.
