京都御苑で、2024年度　新緑のトンボ池一般公開が、2024年5月17日(金)～19日(日)　9:30～11:45にありました。2,000㎡ほどの敷地の中に設けられた、一辺が約１６ｍのほぼ 正方形の人工の池で、トンボや蝶、ハスなどさまざまな動植物が見られる自然観察園で、普段見られない自然豊かなビオトープ、「トンボ池」の水辺の生きものを観察することができました。
