Ich versuche immer und buchen Sie einen pre-Xmas Aufenthalt irgendwo, mit meinen Kindern . Ich traf auf Woodford Bridge auf einer Buchungsstelle , und es schien einen großen Wert für Geld zu bieten, so dachte ich, warum nicht. Es gibt einige positive und negative, die ich unten listan. Ankunft auf einem dunklen und glücklichen Tues Abend, die Straßen sind nicht besonders groß, die Glöcke galore in der Umgebung. In der Dunkelheit auch seine ziemlich schrecklichen Straßen, in der Mitte von niemandem !! Check-in war einfach, schön freundliches Personal , aber ich fand, dass sie tendenziell untereinander reden und lassen Sie zu lange warten, bevor Sie sagen ” kann ich Ihnen helfen ”? Zunächst konnte ich keine Schneidbrett oder Fischschnitt in der Küche finden. Als eine einzige Frau mit 2 Kindern auch ich nicht sicher fühlte, da die apts von jedem zugänglich werden können , es muss ein Schlüssel-Kartenleser am Eingang zum Block , nicht nur die apt Tür . Insgesamt war es ein schöner Aufenthalt, aber ich glaube nicht, dass wir d zurückkommen. Wahrscheinlich viel schöner im Sommer, und mehr weiter in der Gegend

Location and view are fantastic, facilities are good, there's no denying it's an old hotel and that comes with some quirks and even a few areas that are a bit rough round the edges but it's not advertised as the 5 star hotel it once was. So as a 4 star I'd recommend it to anyone, the staff and cleanliness of room couldn't be faulted!! My only real gripe / area that needs some more immediate attention is please get an EV charger or two!

The room we were given was at the bottom of a flight of stairs resulting in a lot of noise disturbance throughout the day and night. The hotel itself feels a little dated and the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. The fire alarm at 7am was also an unwelcome wake up call. The breakfast was good, with a decent selection and the general location is good for accessing local walks and the costal path. Parking is a bit of a nightmare and you can end up with a lengthy walk to the hotel when it is busy.

Ich buchte das für meine Mutter, die die Reise nach Bovey Castle absolut liebt. Das Frühstück und das Restaurant-Essen waren lecker und außergewöhnlich gemacht. Die Grundstücke sind spektakulär.

The spa is incredible, so relaxing. Ideal location with about 10 mins walk to Harbour and to Meadfoot beach. Breakfast was on the small side but tasty. Staff are friendly and helpful. Rooms are okay, clean, but for 4* I’d expect a bit more like an iron in the room, toiletries, wash cloths etc. Didn’t sleep that well unfortunately as was woken up by people coming back to room as doors are loud and corridor floors are creaky. This let it down, but I’d return for the spa experience!

Schönes und sauberes Hotel

The hotel and area was fantastic, however, service at the front desk and the restaurant was lacking. We took a long weekend break and were excited to try the beach club, however our experience was dampened by the service. Being made to stand around for 5 minutes, whilst being told we hadn't paid (when we had) was unnecessary and frankly embarrassing. The restaurant was the most disappointing part of the stay. I'm the evening service was slow, followed by having our order wrong twice and also dropped. Breakfast at the restaurant was lacking compared to cheaper hotels that offer continental. Small selection , nothing outstanding. When we ordered a cooked breakfast, it took 30-40 minutes to receive some eggs and pancakes although the restaurant was fairly quiet. However, the room, facilities, and the spa were fantastic. Beautiful and comfortable rooms. The beach club outside was gorgeous. The spa was perfect and treatments were, to quote my partner, 'one of the best massages of my life'. We're unsure if we would come back. Although the facilities were great, the service was mostly subpar and not what we'd expect from a harbour hotel.

The Palace Hotel was a delight to stay at. The rooms were warm, comfortable and clean. The staff were lovely and we were surprised to have evening entertainment. We went on a budget and were delighted with the hotel. Only thing to add was the bathroom was a bit dated and could do with a new set, I understand having orgional features is nice, however, I think new would be better. Also we were told breakfast would be £9.00 each on arrival, but when we went to pay it what a whopping £27.00 for a full English (1 of each item) amd some avocado and boiled egg on toast... of course we could have the continental... but it did make us cough a bit!! The service was great though. Overall great stay would recommend and return.
