Exceptional Luxury with Thoughtful Tech and Standout Service I recently stayed at the Dorsett Gold Coast, and it was an outstanding experience. The level of detail across the property is highly visible, making for a stay that feels both premium and personalized. A Seamless Arrival The check-in experience set a fantastic tone. We were warmly greeted and offered welcome drinks at the Jin Café & Bar, which was a lovely touch. While we navigated the parking, the porter took our luggage directly to our room, allowing us to settle in stress-free. Speaking of parking, while it is $20 per night, it is worth every cent for the convenience. The ”in and out” process is incredibly seamless because the staff enters your registration number into the system, so you never have to worry about tickets or delays. Standout Service: Special Thanks to Sona The service here is truly top-tier. I want to give a huge mention to Sona at reception, who was incredibly helpful throughout our entire stay. Her professionalism and warmth were much appreciated. Furthermore, the speed of the reception service for any phone requests was impressive—they are lightning-fast. The ”Smart” Room Details The room design features some ”genius” touches that I haven't seen elsewhere: * The Smart Mirror: The bathroom mirror has a specialized coating so that even after a steaming hot shower, a specific section remains perfectly clear. * Auto Night Light: The bathroom has an automatic night light that activates on its own—perfect for navigating at night without fumbling for switches. * The in room switches was also very thoughtful and unique, for the first time experienced such. * The Chromecast casting tech was great as you can stream what you like. Dining & Relaxation The pool area is absolutely fancy and stunning—a perfect spot to lounge. We also enjoyed the hearty buffet breakfast at the Star Grand; it’s a great spread, though I’d love to see a few more vegetarian varieties added to the hot selection. Constructive Feedback To make the experience truly 5-star across the board, there are two areas for improvement: * In-Room Appliances: The hairdryer and iron felt quite basic and didn't really match the premium, high-tech vibe of the hotel. * Poolside Dining: While the pool itself is beautiful, the restaurant menu there is very limited and almost negligible. More food variety by the water would be a big plus. Overall, a fantastic stay. Between the tech, the parking ease, and the wonderful service from Sona, I would definitely recommend the Dorsett!

Sehr schönes Hotel, ich habe meinen Aufenthalt genossen. Sie können schlafen und dem Rauschen des Meeres lauschen. Das Restaurant ist ziemlich gut und das Servicepersonal ist sehr freundlich.

Es war eine letzte Minutebuchung, die wir gemacht haben (gesichert die Vereinbarung für das letzte Zimmer zu diesem Preis) und es war die beste Entscheidung, die wir getroffen haben! Wir mussten aufgrund von Zimmerreinigkeit unsere airbnb verlassen.  Wir genießen die Nähe zu den Geschäften in der Nähe. Die Zimmergröße war für bis zu 4 Pax geeignet, zusammen mit der Bereitstellung von Einrichtungen wie Körperwasch, Shampoo und Klimaanlage. Die Komplimentaren Snacks und Getränkepakete, die im Zimmer bei der Eincheckung bereitgestellt wurden, waren ein großer Touch, und wir haben sogar eine Füllung auf den Chips (sie waren ein großer Schlag mit meinen Freunden) am zweiten Tag.  Danke für eine tolle und begrüßenswerte Erfahrung und ich werde überlegen, hier zu bleiben, wenn ich wieder die Goldküste besuchen.

Es ist schön und ruhig, und ziemlich komfortabel, aber es gibt noch eine Menge Haare auf dem Boden, und es sieht nicht super sauber aus. Das Personal schien ein wenig verwirrt mit der Information, aber es ist alles gut. Erwarte nicht nur fünf-Sterne-Service, das ist alles.

Es war Ende November, der Beginn der Regenzeit, und ich kam um 4 Uhr morgens mitten in strömendem Regen an. Ich kam gegen 6 Uhr morgens im Hotel an und das Hotel war geschlossen, also fragte ich mich, was ich tun sollte , aber ein Gast im Hotel hat es für mich geöffnet.　　 Das Innere des Hotels war sauber und ich fühlte mich sehr entspannt. Ich konnte früher einchecken und der Service war sehr gut, aber es gab nur sehr wenige Annehmlichkeiten, nur ein kleines Stück Seife, Shampoo und Spülung. Kein Handtuchwechsel oder zusätzliche Annehmlichkeiten für bis zu 7 Tage ... Ich dachte, es müsste feucht sein, weil es Sommer war, dachte aber, dass es nichts zu ändern sei, da Handtücher in Australien selten gewechselt werden (wegen Wasserknappheit und um Ressourcen zu schonen). Ich dachte, der Standort wäre etwa 10 Minuten vom Hauptstandort entfernt, aber mit einem Kinderwagen im Schlepptau war es ziemlich weit. Ich denke, es war ziemlich gut, wenn man die Reaktion des Hotelpersonals und die Sauberkeit bedenkt.

After reading very mixed reviews, we went ahead and booked it. The result: very mixed feelings. The location was beautiful, the sights breathtaking, the animals adorable, but when it came to actually spending time there, there wasn’t much to do. We arrived on a later ferry so we knew we wouldn’t have much time to enjoy the sun after arrival, however because of a mix up, our suitcases went missing for an hour making us miss any chance of getting in the pool while it was hot out. After, we went for dinner. There are only 2 restaurants available, and without making a reservation before hand, it’s a bit hard to go when you want. The food was ok, but expensive as one would expect from a place like this. Once dinner was finished, the evening entertainment (Alice in Wonderland screening) was already underway and we found ourselves with nothing to do at 9pm. Early night for us. The following day we planned a day of snorkelling, stingray feeding and kayaking. We appreciated the free snorkel gear as well as the clear safety instructions and recommendations of the lifeguard. The sting Ray feeding experience was amazing and it was clear the staff knew what they were talking about and were passionate about the animals. Kayaking and other water sports were cancelled however because of the high winds, leaving us, once again, with nothing to do. Early dinner (very entertaining moment with wallabies attempting to steal our food and being super cuddly), a walk around the beach, movie in the room, and early bedtime. So all in all, beautiful location with great experiences of the weather allow, make sure to bring some entertainment if the water is too cold to swim in the pool or the weather turns sour. Maybe a book or some board games? Also: if you want food in the late afternoon, make sure you bring some snacks as there is a limited selection available.

Die Fahrt mit dem Bus in die Stadt dauert etwa 15-20 Minuten. Gleich nebenan gibt es einen Woolworths-Supermarkt, daher hatte ich keine Probleme beim Einkaufen und habe mich nicht so unwohl gefühlt, aber der Supermarkt schließt um 18:00 Uhr. Seien Sie also vorsichtig, wenn Sie einen Einkauf planen. Die Umgebung ist sehr ruhig, da sie abseits des Trubels der Stadt liegt. Es gab nicht viele Straßenlaternen und die Leute schrien auf den Straßen, daher fühlte es sich ein wenig beängstigend an, nachts auszugehen (^▽^;) Das Personal an der Rezeption war sehr nett und angenehm. Im Zimmer wurde das Bett jeden Tag gemacht, aber die Kaffeetassen und Gläser blieben im gleichen Zustand, in dem sie benutzt wurden, und die Badetücher blieben im gleichen Zustand, nachdem sie zum Trocknen aufgehängt wurden. Außerdem gab es ein neues Handtuch hinzugefügt. Es scheint, dass neue Handtücher für die Anzahl der Personen nicht jedes Mal ausgetauscht werden, lol Die einzige Reinigung, die ich mache, besteht darin, die Mülltonnen zu durchsuchen und die Betten zu machen. Es gibt auch einen kleinen Kühlschrank im Zimmer. Da es in den Gefrierschrank integriert ist, müssen Sie vorsichtig sein, wenn Sie es in der Nähe der Gefrierzone aufstellen, da es sonst leicht gefriert. Der Hotelpool war sehr schön und wurde jeden Morgen gereinigt, sodass er sauber und schön war. Ich war sehr zufrieden, weil ich zu einem sehr günstigen Preis übernachten konnte, vielleicht weil es weit von der Stadt entfernt liegt. Ich würde es gerne wieder nutzen, wenn ich die Gelegenheit dazu habe.

Alles in Ordnung, hatte eine kleine Problem mit dem Toilette und der feste am selben Tag. Nahe der Stadt und Bahnhöfe. Hat nicht den Pool oder eine ähnliche Anthyg wie das, aber sie sah sie. wird es überlegen, zurückzukommen. die Rezeptionisten (Natalia half uns mit der Toilette-Frage) und mehr von ihnen waren freundlich und hilfreich. We absolutely adored our stay here! Amazing location - right by the train station and the ferry port and southbank is such a great spot with the bars, restaurants and beach by the river. The hotel was stunning with beautiful rooftop pool and decor throughout our room and main areas. We were just sad it was only 1 night! We didn’t want to leave. All the staff were amazing and food and drinks were delicious!

I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel. I accidentally booked a same-night reservation because I was comparing room types in a new tab and forgot to change the dates. I realised the mistake immediately, submitted a cancellation request, and even called the hotel that evening to let them know I wouldn’t be arriving so they could release the room to other guests. Despite this, I was charged the next day. When I called again, the manager said their policy requires 24 hours’ notice and claimed they “could not use the room for other reservations,” even though I had informed them the night before. I have stayed in many hotels, and this is honestly one of the least flexible experiences I have come across. Very disappointing customer service and not understanding at all.
