The location of this hotel is great, very close to Chester and all the attractions around. In terms of the room, our room was very spacious and the bed was very big. However it was two singles joined together, so a gap between the two. This is probably where the good bits end. The size of the room and bathroom really was a positive though, especially travelling with a baby. We had to pay £5 to hire a travel cot and in the end we didn’t use it. The cot mattress appears to have never been replace and was very thin and lumpy, making it redundant. The wooden slates at the bottom of the crib could be felt very dominantly through what was left of the mattress, meaning our baby was waking up uncomfortable and we had to transfer him to the bed. In terms of things that could do with improvement: Cleanliness The room floor was very dirty and could have benefited from an additional vacuum. Initially I put this down to arriving on New Year’s Day and then having a lot of people check out that day, but the whole hotel appeared a little bit grubby on closer inspection. The spa pool was exceptionally dirty. The floor coming out of the changing room covered in hair and general dirt. The showers looked like they hadn’t had a good scrub in months, with yellow build up all over the floor and walls. Not what you expect from a spa! To top it off after swimming I have contracted the Norovirus. Service Our first encounter with the reception staff was great the lady very welcoming and friendly. We met the cleaner as well who was also lovely. The rest of the staff we encountered were not so great. Either rude or disinterested, I get that it might not be your dream job but service with a smile goes a long way. Facilities The hot water takes a while to come through at busier times, this is signposted in the room. However, the water does not get very water at all. It does come through at a pleasant temperature, but not great if you like a bath or shower on the warmer side. There are three times a day when you can go swimming with children. It would be great if these times were restricted to children/families only, as there were quite a few adults sitting around the poolside and in the hot tub. Breakfast was ok, but a lot of the time left uncovered. Overall not a great stay and would be unlikely to stay again.

Hotel had a nice atmosphere our room was excellent and had a nice sofa, just a short walk into Chester and all amenities and the hotel breakfast was first class. All in all hotel and staff were excellent 👌

Ich war schon zweimal hier und war zufrieden. Leider musste ich dieses Mal das Zimmer wechseln, da die Vorhänge herunterfielen und sich nicht schließen ließen. Das Ersatzzimmer, das sie mir gaben, roch nach Schweiß und Urin. Ansonsten ist das Hotel schön und die Preise angemessen. Die Parkmöglichkeiten sind gut. Um das Erlebnis zu verbessern, muss die Reinigung priorisiert werden.

The picturesque setting truly enhances the overall experience. **Arrival and Service:** Unfortunately, my arrival experience was somewhat disappointing. The service upon check-in felt slow and not particularly welcoming. There was no offer of assistance with my luggage or guidance on where I could take Stanley, which left me feeling a bit lost. I expected a more hospitable reception, especially given the hotel’s reputation. **Room Quality:** On a positive note, the room was clean and well-appointed, featuring a lovely spacious bathroom that included a plush robe and complimentary toiletries such as shampoo and soap. I appreciated the mini bar, which had complimentary water, adding a nice touch to my stay. **Room Service:** One downside was the room service hours, which ended at 10 PM. I arrived at 8:15 PM and was informed of this limitation, which felt a bit early for a hotel of this caliber. It would have been nice to have more flexible dining options during my stay. **Dining:** The hotel itself is stunning, and the grounds are a joy to explore. I had breakfast at the brasserie restaurant, where the attentive staff made a significant difference. The breakfast was wonderful, with a variety of delicious options that set a positive tone for my day. **Overall Impression:** While my stay had its ups and downs, the beautiful setting and the quality of the accommodations were highlights. I hope that the service experience can be improved for future guests, as that would truly elevate the stay. I would consider returning, especially for the lovely grounds and excellent breakfast, but I would hope for a more welcoming atmosphere next time.

Das ist das zweite Mal, dass wir in diesem Hotel verblieben haben, und unsere Wahl war hauptsächlich auf seine bequeme Lage und ausgezeichnetes Frühstück. Es ist sehr nahe am Flughafen und sehr ruhig am Abend, umgeben von Farmen und Grasland. Wir lieben das Frühstück, weil es kein typisches Buffet ist. Stattdessen können Sie aus einem Menü mit einer großen Auswahl an Optionen, die alle wunderbar schmecken. Die Dekoration des Restaurants ist auch wunderschön, und Sie werden mehr als zufrieden mit den Portionen sein. Das Restaurantpersonal ist passioniert, freundlich und hilfreich. Ein Punkt ist, dass die Rezeption oft umgeben ist, was nur eine Beobachtung und weder positiv noch negativ ist. Die Rezeptionisten tun immer ihr Bestes und sind sehr nett und professionell. Allerdings ist das Zimmerdesign ein wenig veraltet.

Zimmer geräuchert von Erbrechen und die Gärten wurden getorn informiert Personal sie schienen aufmerksam, aber wir wurden nicht ein Zimmerwechsel angeboten Das Hotel ist für Arbeiter, die auf der Autobahn arbeiten, auch viele Paare mit Hunden im Zimmer vertragen Meiner Meinung nach ist die Sauberkeit in diesem Hotel zurückgegangen

Really loved this hotel from the moment we got there. Clean and great vibe !   lovely venue, room and super comfy bed and pillows.  Excellent facilities and swimming pool. Great bar and restaurant area. Only thing was little slow to clear the table and to remind the bar staff both nights about bringing the kids menu ice cream.  Apart from that, it was fabulous, and definitely will come back 😀

Erstmals mit einem Übernachtungsurlaub nach Chester. Der erste Eindruck von Hotel einschließlich Lage war ausgezeichnet und ich habe nur einen negativ von unserem Aufenthalt, der bei Abreise an die Rezeption gemeldet wurde. Das Hotel hat ein großes Problem mit Schlafzimmertüren, die schlafend geschlossen sind, jedes Mal, wenn jemand eintritt oder verlässt ein Zimmer, weil sie keine Dämpfer haben, die unsere Nacht und Nacht in unserem Zimmer vernichtet. Das Hotel ist mit einem guten Pool und einem Restaurant ausgezeichnet. Das Frühstück kann nur als superb bezeichnet werden, mit unserem Enkel, der es gründlich genießt. Die Lage einschließlich des Parkplatzes war ideal für einen Spaziergang um das Chester City Centre mit einem 100 yd-Wandern bis zu den Hauptstraßen und den Ebenen. Insgesamt würde ich das Hotel für einen Stadtbrech empfehlen und würde leicht für 5 Sterne qualifiziert, wenn sie etwas Dämpfungsgerät / Schließvorgang auf die Schlafzimmertüren setzen könnten.

Incredible from start to finish. Slight mix up on the booking system but sorted within minutes. Couldn't have been better looked after! Excellent value, staff that go the extra mile made our 1 night stay so enjoyable the children didn't want to go home!

Als ich den Pool benutzte, war es praktisch leer. Ich liebe es, dass es bis 9:00 Uhr geöffnet war, da es bedeutete, dass ich nach einem langen Tag aus schwimmen konnte. Das Zimmer war groß und geräumig. Nur unten ist die Dusche war nicht groß, es gab nicht viel Kraft und das Wasser war zu heiß. Kann mit einem Luftkon oder sogar ein Fan gemacht werden, als es in der Nacht ziemlich heiß wurde. Andernfalls war es ein angenehmer Aufenthalt
