I can’t say enough good things about my stay at this incredible homestay on Dongshan Island—it’s hands down one of the best accommodation experiences I’ve ever had, and I’m already counting down the days until I can come back. From the breathtaking sea views to the thoughtful, attentive service, every single detail made my trip unforgettable, and I’m so glad I chose this homestay for my island getaway. First and foremost, the seaview here is absolutely stunning, beyond anything I could have imagined. The homestay boasts an unbeatable location with unobstructed views of the endless blue sea, and I spent every spare moment just admiring the ocean, both morning and night. Waking up early to watch the soft golden sunrise glisten over the water, with gentle waves lapping against the shore, was the most peaceful way to start each day. As the sun set, the sky painted itself in warm hues of orange and pink, reflecting beautifully on the sea, creating a romantic and serene scene that took my breath away. Even at night, the quiet glow of the moon on the water and the soft sound of waves made the view just as magical. I took countless beautiful photos during my stay, and every snapshot perfectly captures the mesmerizing beauty of this place—no filter could ever do the real scenery justice. What surprised me most is that the homestay is even more beautiful in person than the online photos. When I booked the room online, the pictures looked lovely, but I didn’t expect the actual space to exceed my expectations by such a large margin. The interior is cozy, clean, and tastefully decorated, with large windows that frame the sea like a living painting. Every corner of the homestay is well-maintained, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. Ich hatte hier eine wunderbare Zeit, obwohl ich nur eine Nacht geblieben bin. Die Autovermietung hier ist sehr billig mit 25rmb für einen Tag. Der Boss ist sehr nett und geht aus. Andere Gäste hier sind auch sehr freundlich. 추천합니다!!

Die Lage ist in Ordnung, aber die meisten der nahegelegenen Straßen mit ihren Imbissständen sind geschlossen und schlecht besucht. Die Toilette riecht stark nach Abwasser oder dem Abflussrohr aus dem Duschraum. Das Nachbarzimmer ist laut, da die Tür ständig geöffnet und geschlossen wird. Die Schalldämmung ist miserabel und sehr störend. Das Frühstück ist mittelmäßig; es gibt weder warme Suppe noch Nudeln, also ist es praktisch wertlos. Man bekommt nur einen Zimmerschlüssel, vermutlich um Strom zu sparen, was unpraktisch ist; es ist immer dunkel, wenn man das Zimmer betritt. Beim Einchecken wird eine Kaution fällig, und man muss auf die Auscheckzeit achten, wahrscheinlich um die Gebühren leichter abbuchen zu können. Ich verstehe nicht, wie diese Bewertung in Xiamen zustande gekommen ist; das Hotel ist nicht einmal vier Sterne wert.

I enjoyed my stay overall. While the hotel isn’t perfect, it offers great value if you’re looking for a relaxed beach holiday away from the busy tourist areas. Location The hotel is in a peaceful area close to Huangcuo Beach and Xitouxia, with plenty of small local seafood restaurants and traditional Chinese eateries nearby. If you’re not into seafood, there are still a few other dining options within walking distance. It’s about a 30-minute walk to popular cafés like Oncebook Coffee and Snow Peak Café. Further along the beach you’ll also find beach bars such as Breeze Bar and Amoy Beach Bar, where you can enjoy drinks overlooking the ocean. Most of Xiamen’s major attractions, including Shapowei, Zhongshan Road, Gulangyu Ferry Terminal, and MIXC, are around a 20–30 minute taxi ride away, making them easy to reach. Facilities The highlight of the hotel is definitely the swimming pool. It’s clean, relaxing, and has two sun loungers, making it a nice place to unwind after a day of exploring. The hotel doesn’t offer breakfast or have its own restaurant, but there are several places nearby where you can eat. Room The rooms are spacious and nicely designed, with floor-to-ceiling windows that provide beautiful ocean views. The bed is exceptionally comfortable, with soft memory foam pillows, and the air conditioning works very well—something you’ll definitely appreciate during Xiamen’s summer. The bathroom is modern, with a large rainfall shower that has excellent water pressure. There are a few downsides, however. The room could be cleaner, and the hotel provides disposable towels instead of regular bath towels, which wasn’t my favourite. There’s also no minibar or mini fridge, which would have been a welcome addition. Service The reception staff deserve special mention. The gentleman who checked me in was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and went out of his way to make sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. His hospitality left a very positive impression. Final thoughts If you’re looking for a quiet beachside stay with comfortable rooms, beautiful ocean views, and don’t mind taking a taxi to Xiamen’s main attractions, this hotel is a solid choice. Just don’t expect luxury facilities or a full-service resort experience.

Ich ging vor dem Frühlingsfest zum Wuyi-Berg, umrundete den Gipfel und buchte drei Zimmer. Nachdem ich zuvor so hohe Bewertungen gelesen hatte, dachte ich, es könnte sich um eine Fälschung handeln. Nach meinem Einzug erfuhr ich die Wahrheit. Es war wirklich gut und machte seinem Namen alle Ehre. Ich habe dort auch zu Abend gegessen und es hat gut geschmeckt. Die Einrichtungen sind vollständig, sauber und die Umgebung ist gut. Es gibt auch einen Schach- und Kartenraum und eine Teestube. Ich werde hier übernachten, wenn ich das nächste Mal nach Wuyishan gehe. Vielen Dank, Chefin, für das kleine Geschenk! Voller Herz! Ausstattung: Komplett und neu, das Zimmer ist groß und sehr sauber.

Love the warmth given by the innkeepers. Being invited to join the local culture of tea drinking (or tea sipping) from morning until night is such a fun time for us. We got to chit chat, exchange knowledge and cultures. Love it. Will revisit.

I traveled to Xiamen during the Chinese spring service with my dog and took a day trip to Kinmen Island, Taiwan, just off the coast. This hotel was in fact an apartment building with several management companies renting out rooms on various floors. Overall the building was in a horrendous state of disrepair. Initially, the front desk tried to put me into a room on the sixth floor which looked like a scene from a horror movie... Stains on floor, walls, dirt and garbage everywhere....I asked if this is the same room I booked and another female staff member moved me to the 9 th floor which was at least clean and updated, in the hall. The room was ok, and bed comfortable, but I've never stayed in a hotel that put sheets directly on the mattress without a minimal pad between... Luckily no bed bugs. The room had 3 out of 8 working lightbulbs so it was very dark. The heater didn't warm up the room even at max level running all day. Everything was old and dingy... Nothing like the photos I had no TV or Internet service the first day until I asked for it to be repaired. Overall, no maintenance is the problem.. But at least the woman at the front desk was helpful and kind That only real redeeming quality of the room was the view... But the window was so dirty, it was mostly obscured.

As it wasn't a busy time and we were staying for a whole week, on check they upgraded us to the Wooden Loft Family Room, which was quite nice. The room was comfortable with big windows and a nice view across the stream to the forest. It was great to have a washing machine and the washing machine had a dryer function as well so we could still dry our clothes when it was cloudy and cool. The smart toilet was a bit disappointing as the controller wasn't very responsive and the flush was very weak. The tub was nice though the water was not quite hot enough to make it comfortable. Most of all we enjoyed the courtyard area and the breakfast/restaurant area, especially the tea room. They are really well designed and organized and provide a nice space to relax and read and write. The breakfast was quite nice, they provide a serving size based on the number of people, though it was often not enough for us and we normally asked for another serving. They also brought a fruit and yogurt platter to the room in evenings which we also enjoyed. The location is convenient to walk down to the Yuchanglou Tulou in Xiabancun, though part of the way will be on the main road which can be busy with traffic. To get to other areas such as Tianluokeng and Taxiacun it is also possible to walk, though again sometimes you have to walk on the main road as there is no walking path or small side road. There is a tourist bus service that goes between the scenic spots and you can even flag them down in between though you are supposed to have purchased a transportation ticket first and that is not striaghtforward to get if you didn't get it in advance. So, most guests come with their own car or rent one. If arriving by train, while trip.com shows the Yongding and Longshan railway stations as the closest, actually the quickest and most convenient station is the one at Nanjing. Also, because the hotel is within the scenic area you do need to purchase tickets to enter, either online tickets or paper tickets at the gate.

Mein Zimmer hatte ein eigenes Badezimmer, ein komfortables Bett und gemütliche Kürbis in der Nähe des Fensters, um die Meerblicke zu genießen. Es gibt auch einen Projektor für die Filmaufnahme. Der ursprüngliche Service war gut, obwohl später es leichte Verzögerungen bei der Antwort gab. Eincheckung erfordert einen Gesichtsscan, während der Auscheck einfach ist Sie müssen einfach eine Nachricht an Ihren Butler senden. Es ist besser, früher zu buchen, um einen guten Deal zu erhalten.
