We stated for one night over the bankholiday weekend. Plenty of parking and a short stroll to the beach. Checkin was extremely quick. We had dinner and drinks downstairs in the lighthouse bar the food was exceptional and the service was fantastic. We used the pool and the outdoor hot tub which was lovely as pool itself seemed a little cold. We had a room on the 4th floor with a lovely little balcony which was unexpected that looked out over the car park and beyond. The bed was lovely and comfortable, the room is decorated with dark features including black paint but this showed up the evidently dusty areas of the room especially the radiator cover, while there was also heavy staining and debris on the carpet by the entryway and the water in the pre filled glass bottle tasted as if it had been there for days. The bathroom is lovely and similarly decorated however the existing low bathtub could be replaced with a lovely walk-in shower. We weren't told at checkin about any works going on in the hotel but we had our thoughts that there was because as we reached our room you could see dusty footprints emerging from a door directly opposite ours which was not a room this was confirmed the following morning when we were woken before 9 with drilling and sawing that was happening in the hallway. The guest directory said there was free WiFi but all networks were locked and no password to be found in the usual places like the back of the key card pack or the TV etc. We weren't asked on checkout how our stay was, just took our room number and said that's OK have a good day bye, seemed a little hurried even though there was nobody waiting behind us. Overall nice stay, top quality food and service downstairs but slightly better attention to detail in servicing rooms/ housekeeping and notice of possible works going on needed.

The hotel was expensive for the night as there was no breakfast included. I also then had to pay for parking, which should be included as it was expensive to stay with no breakfast included. Staff had assigned a parking space for me, and on my return from a family funeral, my space was gone. I parked in another space and when I informed the staff they asked me to move my car to another space. I declined. I had paid for my space, and it was gone on my return. Staff seemed to know nothing of what was going on in parking spaces. Disappointing experience. I would always stay at the commodore but will probably seek somewhere else going forward.

Great location to visit the wildlife park but it’s not walkable. Room was lovely. It had everything we needed. Peaceful nights sleep too. You have to pre book the leisure club and children are only allowed at certain times meaning we missed out in the morning as my 13yr old wasn’t allowed in until 9am but we had to leave then. Breakfast: Choice of food was amazing. Absolutely everything on offer. We were a bit rushed because we had the titanic experience booked so had to be punctual. We had to chase up the toast 3 times. It was the only thing my son would eat so couldn’t let it slide. Then it arrived stone cold so they apologised and redid it for him. Overall it was a lovely hotel and included some nice touches like Lily O”Brien chocolates in the room, a coffee maker and free bottle of wine for Deluxe rooms. Turn down service was a welcome surprise too.

Rein , komfortabel, genießbar !! Ich werde wieder bleiben und das Hotel ist sauber, das Bett ist sehr komfortabel, das Zimmer ist ziemlich groß. Das Frühstück ist sehr groß und sie bieten einen guten Service, wenn Ur Trink und Essen kalt sind, die Wärterin ist sehr nett und kümmert sich um Sie viel, sie erinnerte mich, ich bekomme das heißere Essen und füllen Sie den heißen Kaffee für mich !!

Absolutely beautiful hotel Sharon the hostess is Absolutely amazing she's very efficient so is thr other lady but I don't know her ne nothing is to much trouble for these ladies they work so hard the other lady is around Sharon's age and her and Sharon are always running around working and asking if everything is okay they are a credit to your hotel and thank you to all the people who work behind the scenes the chef and the domestics making sure everything is clean and tidy all these people are the backbone of the hotel

The hotel was okay overall, but there were a few things that could definitely be better. Water bottles weren’t given every day—you only get them if you ask, which felt a bit inconvenient. It’s something you expect to be taken care of without having to remind them. The internet in the room was quite slow. It worked, but not great—good enough for checking messages, but not reliable if you need to do work or stream anything. On the bright side, the lobby looked really nice—clean, modern, and a good place to sit and relax for a bit. In short, it’s not a bad place, but a few small improvements could make the stay much more comfortable. Swimming pool service was good.

I am in love with their bed!! It’s the best I’ve ever slept on. So in love, I had to investigate to find out who makes their bed: it’s by the natural sleep company. I slept deliciously and I will now get a bed like that for my home. The employees were quite kind and helpful too. Clearly, from the bed alone, they invest in quality. It’s a gorgeous building and exquisitely maintained with a magnificent old world charm. I hope this gem lasts for ages and doesn’t succumb to the boring, overly modern, cookie cutter trope a lot of hotels have fallen into. I will return for sure.

Lovely hotel. Great service. The airport shuttle runs every 30 minutes. Highly recommend this hotel.

Enttäuschend. Ich konnte meine Reservierung überhaupt nicht finden. Nachdem ich ein Zimmer bekam und jemanden ausruhte, kam er ein, um das Zimmer an jemand anderem zu zeigen. Leider gab es eine Gruppe von Damen, die gleichzeitig gebucht wurden und sie machten viel Lärm und niemand stoppte sie, so dass ich auf 3.30. Ich schrie an ihnen und sie gingen zum Bett. Ich ging für eine Dusche, aber kein heißes Wasser. Anfrage nach einem gefrierten Ei und 2 Sausages zum Frühstück. Das dauerte 45 Minuten. Es könnte ein toller Ort mit einer Organisation sein. Wir waren wahrscheinlich unglücklich in der Nacht

Unser Aufenthalt war wunderbar. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Es gab ein reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet mit einer großen Auswahl. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Auf dem Tisch standen sowohl Sprudelwasser als auch stilles Wasser bereit, außerdem Kaffee und Tee. Wir haben wunderbar geschlafen, die Betten waren sehr bequem. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall bei unserer nächsten Reise nach Cork wieder.
