Gorgeous old family estate turned Hotel/Guest House. Spacious and comfortable room. Perfect location to come back to after driving around exploring the Scottish Boarders. Breakfast service was lacking in its service. Young and inexperienced staff spent too much time standing around doing nothing instead of ensuring the buffet was stocked, used dishes cleared off tables, or even tables set for guests.

Es ist wirklich veraltet, im Vergleich zu anderen Spas und Hotels ähnlicher erste. Zum Beispiel habe ich im Dunked Haus geblieben, es war Nacht und Tag. Das Personal ist großartig, aber der Ort braucht viel Geld dafür. In unserem Zimmer 317 hatten wir ein Fernseher, das die Hälfte des Bildschirms dunkler als die andere Hälfte hatte, gute Sache, dass wir hier nicht zu sehen, das Zeug. Der Poolbereich war schön, aber die Bedürfnisse wurden renoviert. Die großen Schritte, die Sie nach unten nehmen, sind gefährlich für ältere Menschen, sie sind aufgeplackt und in einem sehr, sehr, ”note the two very's” schlechten Zustand der Dinge, um das wenigste zu sagen. Würde ich hier noch einmal bleiben, wahrscheinlich nicht bis der Ort verbessert wurde. Wenn man sich das anschaut, was ich vom Hotel gesehen habe, wird es Millionen Pfund dauern. Ich genossen die Archee, die wee Mädchen war eine große Hilfe. Die Mitarbeiter sind schön, aber es muss wirklich auf der Hotelseite verbessert werden.

The hotel is in a great location in the town center, close to Melrose Abbey, a supermarket, and several bus stops, making it very convenient. The room had a bathtub, and there was plenty of hot water, which was a nice bonus. However, the building seems old, and there were creaking noises. When other guests walked down the hallway, the sound echoed into the room, and I could also hear conversations from the neighboring rooms.

I had a fantastic weekend at the Newcastle arms hotel, it was a welcoming and friendly environment, the staff were friendly enough, Michelle and Lorain went out of there way to make sure we were happy and catered for in every way there such lovely people. I would definitely stay again, the rooms are reasonable priced and it’s a lovely little village, there’s not much to do In the town but it’s lovely for a relaxing trip away, I would recommend to others.

Hotels waren großartig Service war fab und Essen in Restaurant großartig. Einzig das Versäumnis ist ein Jacuzzi im Spa. Unsere Reise wurde durch die Rezeption vernichtet, die uns zweimal für unsere Unterkunft kosten. Bereits über trip.com gezahlt und dann nach Hause, um das Hotel zu entdecken hatte auch direkt gezahlt. Trotz informieren Hotel von diesem Fehler am Tag der Abreise, eine Woche später und mehrere Tel-Anrufe haben wir noch nicht das Geld zurück auf unser Konto. Folglich werden wir nicht als sehr schlechte Kundenservice zurückkehren!

We were offered an upgrade to a suite at a much reduced rate and accepted the offer. The room was huge comfortable and well equipped for a pleasant stay. However the room and bathroom looked as if they hadn't been used for a while. In need of an update and tired it also could have been cleaner. A bit disappointing. On saying that the rest of the hotel was very clean, comfortable and welcoming. Staff were all helpful and friendly, and attentive. The food was excellent and the menus had a great selection to choose from. I would definitely visit again, but as the standard rooms are more modern and comfortable I would ask to view any room before agreeing to any update

Schönes Hotel mit einem tollen Spa und schönen Gesamt. Das Restaurant war auch sehr gut, obwohl ziemlich teuer. Unsere Hauptentschuldigung war die Änderung der Kinder’ Pool-Zugangspolitik. Es war eine Zeitung für den Morgen und den Nachmittag, aber Kinder sind heute nur am Morgen erlaubt. Es gab definitiv den Eindruck, das Hotel bewegt sich in Richtung entmutigenden Familien, das Hotel zu besuchen. Leider hat die Einstellung des Personals dieses Gefühl verstärkt. Wir wurden wiederholt daran erinnert, als unser Kind den Spa verlassen musste, einschließlich, dass wir vor Ende der zugewiesenen Zeit gut gestoppt wurden, um sicherzustellen, dass wir uns der Abschaltung bewusst waren. Es hat sich nicht besonders begrüßt oder Familienfreundlich gefühlt. Das heißt, es ist wahrscheinlich eine schöne Wahl für Paare, die eine ruhige, kinderfreie Getaway suchen und die mit der Prämienpreisung zufrieden sind (z.B. etwa 15 £ für ein Glas Wein).

Had a great 4-night stay at the Tontine. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. Food was delicious and there was a good choice. Our favourite place was in the lounge on a comfy sofa with a cocktail. Hope to stay again.
