We enjoyed our stay at the Leonardo It was not too far from the centre and easily accessible to main roads The rooms were comfortable and clean and the staff were very helpful and professional

Have stayed here several times and usually have a good experience, except for the breakfast arrangements at the beefeater next door. On this occasion, we arrived with relatives in their 80s to find the rooms that had been refurbished and only completed that day, had no electricity. There was only one person on the desk, and it was a busy day in mid Dec. The poor girl fried frantically to get the electric working in both rooms, for over an hour, eventually moving us to other rooms on another floor, but again, no electric. We we're beginning to give up hope. Already feeling low as we were attending a younger relatives' funeral the next day. But after 90 minutes, she finally succeeded by using 2 key cards in the lighting slot, giving us light. Needless to say we were all tired and weary. To her credit she offered a refund for the cost of breakfast to compensate, and on feeding our experience back to Premier Inn, they also discounted the cost of the rooms. So we were happy with that, and generally we would stay here again. Our only other gripe is with the arrangement for breakfast in the beefeater accross the carpark. Having booked full English breakfast, that is what you expect. But being asked on arrival have you paid or not is poor practice, and would expect the booking in and restaurant services to be linked, so that question becomes mute. Then to go through each item in the English breakfast menu to be asked how many of each item is required is really unacceptable. I do hope they seriously explore a better way to greet and serve their customers. Most hotels would usually just ask your room number, which tells them if you have paid for breakfast or not, and then serve you the item as listed on the menu.

Great location. A very nice spa. The hotel room is unfortunately quite old, the shower was cold, the bed was uncomfortable and the walls are very thin making it hard to sleep.

Wir reservierten ein Zimmer für 3, das mit einem Königsbett und einem Sofabett kam. Das Sofabett ist eines der schlimmsten Bette, auf dem ich je geschlafen habe. Sie könnten praktisch den Frühling spüren, wenn Sie bewegen. Ich muss meinen Eltern auf dem Königsbett schlafen lassen.  Das Zimmer war am Ende des Gebäudes. Hotelgäste nutzen die Ausfahrtstür, um zum Park zu kommen. Jedes Mal, wenn ein Gast die Ausfahrt, die Korridor-Ebene “krackt” und folgen durch die Tür Schlammschließung. Nur zu laut und beeinflusst unser Schlaf. Andernfalls wäre es ein wunderbarer Aufenthalt gewesen. Das Hotel sollte den Boden stärken und einen weichen schließenden Mechanismus an die Tür hinzufügen.

Ich wohne in der Nachbarschaft um dieses Hotel, aber ich habe es für das Wochenende gebucht, um einen Freund zu beherbergen. Es ist nicht die einfachste Option in der Nähe zu Fuß von der Bahnhof, obwohl der Spaziergang, der über den Kanal laufen läuft für die meisten der Wege ist super scenisch, wenn Sie Zeit zu sparen bei der Ankunft. Die Fahrkarte zum Hotel war auch ziemlich schnell und kostete uns etwa 15 Quids. Die Eincheckung war super bequem und zufällig, und das Mädchen, das arbeitete, ging uns ins Zimmer, um alle Einrichtungen und Merkmale unseres Zimmers vorzustellen. Das Zimmer war gut ausgestattet, aber es war ein wenig enttäuschend, dass es nicht ein Mini-Kühlschrank - es gibt nicht viele Lebensmitteloptionen oder Supermärkte in einfacher Gehstrecke vom Hotel, Also hatten wir einige Dinge mitgebracht, die wir auf dem Fensterschrank verlassen mussten, um sich zu kühlen. Das Zimmer war zwar großartig, aber das Untergeschoss war ein super komfortabler Ort zum Kühlen und Essen, und dann war das aufgehobene Schlafzimmer unglaublich gemütlich. Ich bin 5'11” und ich werde sagen, ich habe mich fast ein paar Mal auf den geschlagenen Wänden ausgesucht - ich denke, jemand höher sollte sehr vorsichtig sein. Ich habe bemerkt, dass Duschen in diesem Bereich im Allgemeinen nicht super heiß oder unter Druck sind, aber die Einstellung hier war nicht zu schlecht. Der pub unten ist natürlich super charmant, ein toller Ort, um mit einem Pint zu sitzen und den Sonnenuntergang zu beobachten, obwohl wir nicht das Essen versucht haben. Ich werde wahrscheinlich zurück zu diesem pub kommen, und würde im Innenhof bleiben, wenn ich jemals irgendeinen Grund habe.

The hotel itself is full of charm, with a beautiful setting and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast was included both mornings and was a real highlight. It was such a refreshing change to have a cooked‑to‑order breakfast rather than a full buffet, while still being able to help ourselves to fruit, yoghurt, and pastries. Everything was fresh and delicious. We chose to dine at the hotel restaurant on both evenings, and the food was exceptional. The style is very much modern, refined cuisine, and both the duck and the stone bass were beautifully cooked and full of flavour. It felt special without being pretentious. The hotel also has a pub, which has a great atmosphere and adds to the overall charm of the place. Whether you want a relaxed drink or a cosy corner to unwind in, it’s a lovely space. Throughout our stay, the staff were consistently attentive, friendly, and genuinely eager to make sure everything was perfect. Their warmth really added to the experience. All in all, we had a truly lovely stay and would happily recommend The Bear of Rodborough to anyone visiting the Cotswolds. We’d love to return.

Sehr gut ausgestattetes Zimmer und Badezimmer. Voll von Charakter. Das Restaurant ist ziemlich laut, aber das Essen und der Service waren ausgezeichnet. Frühstück war erstklassig. Lage im Zentrum von Stow ist perfekt.

A good budget no frills hotel about 15 minutes outside of Gloucester,on site parking, clean room.with ensuite (everything worked ).comfy and clean large double bed , quiet , inside and out and a very helpful guy on reception when I checked in.Very goo value for the money.

Mansley refers to their properties as ”managed apartments”. There is no on site staff, you check in online and get a single code that gets you into the building, your room, and the parking. They are very attentive during the stay to make sure you know that if you need anything they are a phone call away. I absolutely love this concept! The property itself appears to have been recently renovated and in immaculate condition. The room was stunning. You walk into a living room area with kitchen with soaring 2 story ceilings. The bedroom is an upstairs loft with king size bed. Towels, linens, mattress, coffee service, etc. are all top of the line. The location can't be beat. Right in the heart of town center with everything you could possible need a short walk away. They have a secure parking lot right next to the property as well. I have stayed at all of the trendy hotels in Cheltenham. This is by far my favorite. Won't stay anywhere else when in Cheltenham. Can't wait to try another Mansley property.
