Die Entscheidung, mit der Familie während des Frühlingsfestes Urlaub in Brunei zu machen, war absolut goldrichtig. Das Hotel blickt auf eine über zwanzigjährige Geschichte zurück und ist bemerkenswert gut gepflegt. Es war nicht überfüllt und bot eine wunderschöne Aussicht – perfekt zum Entspannen. Während des Ramadan wurden sogar Frühstück, Mittag- und Abendessen angeboten, was wirklich selten ist! Die Getränke und Snacks in der Minibar waren kostenlos, und wir konnten sie unmöglich alle aufessen! Ein Aufenthalt im Empire Hotel ist bei einem Besuch in Brunei ein absolutes Muss!

Wonderful staff and useful airport transfers, but the hotel needs a complete renovation The strongest part of our stay was definitely the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming and genuinely willing to help with absolutely everything. Their attitude made a huge difference, and we are very grateful to the entire team! The hotel also provides complimentary airport pick-up and drop-off, which was extremely convenient. We received a room upgrade, and the staff brought drinking water and fresh linen to the room. Coffee and tea supplies were replenished every day as well. Unfortunately, the building and rooms are extremely outdated, and cleanliness was a serious problem. The hotel clearly needs deep cleaning, better maintenance and a major renovation. Despite the excellent service and useful amenities, the poor condition of the property made the stay much less comfortable. Thank you again to the wonderful staff — you were truly the best part of this hotel.

Wir wurden gleich nach Verlassen des Flughafens von einem freundlichen Fahrer abgeholt. Er organisierte ein Auto, das uns zum Hotel brachte. Die Rezeptionistin war herzlich und freundlich, richtete unser Zimmer ein und gab uns eine ausführliche Erklärung. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber. Unser Zimmer hatte auch eine voll ausgestattete Küche, die wir aber nur eine Nacht blieben und nicht nutzten. Das Hotel liegt ganz in der Nähe der schwimmenden Häuser und der Omar-Ali-Saifuddin-Moschee. Ich bin besonders dankbar für die freundlichen und verantwortungsvollen Fahrer. Am Abend unserer Ankunft im Hotel setzten sie uns am Gadong-Nachtmarkt ab und holten uns wieder ab. Sie brachten uns auch zum Königspalast, den schwimmenden Häusern und dem Einkaufszentrum. Natürlich brachten sie uns auch zum Flughafen. Das Frühstück war sehr gut, sowohl abwechslungsreich als auch geschmacklich. Insgesamt fühlte ich mich wie zu Hause. Ich persönlich habe dieses Hotel sehr genossen und kann es jedem wärmstens empfehlen.

Good location for budget travelers, but cleanliness and facilities need improvement Location & Accessibility. The hostel is located near the Gadong Night Market in a relatively safe area. It takes about 15 minutes by car or bus to reach the city center, where you can find the Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, Kampong Ayer (water village), and museums. Public buses to the city center are available right from Gadong Night Market. Room & Cleanliness: I booked a bed in the female dormitory and was guided to another building about a 1-minute walk from the main Google Maps location, which was fine. However, I had concerns about the cleanliness. The bedsheets, although supposed to be fresh, had visible hair and dust on them. I was offered a different bed, but it had the same issue. Since I was exhausted from long-distance travel, I gave up and accepted it, but I felt uncomfortable watching the staff simply brush off the dirt by hand and assign the previous bed to another guest. Facilities & Wi-Fi: There is room for improvement regarding the bathroom and Wi-Fi. The shower rooms (separate from the toilets) are extremely small, with no hooks to hang towels or clothes. There is also a mild sewer smell from the toilet and shower area. The hostel uses a strong orange air freshener throughout the property, which felt a bit overpowering. While Wi-Fi is provided, the connection was extremely slow—perhaps because my room was at the far end of the hallway. Since eSIMs in Brunei are relatively expensive compared to other countries, the weak Wi-Fi was quite inconvenient. Overall: It has the absolute basics. If you are on a tight budget and just need a cheap place to sleep for 1 or 2 nights in price-heavy Brunei, this could be an option. However, expectations for cleanliness and comfort should be kept low.

Der größte Vorteil von diesem Hotel ist der kostenlose Transfer vom und zum Flughafen. Leider gibt es keine Wechselstube, wer also nach 21Uhr landed steht für die nächsten Stunden oder wie in unserem Fall noch länger ohne lokales Geld da. Das Zimmer war sehr groß, das kingsize Bett dafür um so kleiner. Was wirklich störend war, waren einerseits die kleinen Insekten die überall im Zimmer umherliefen und die lauten Klimaanlagen entweder auf dem Balkon oder vom nahen Gebäude. Das Frühstück ist einem 3-Sterne Hotel angemessen, die Anzahl der Tische eher nicht. Wifi funktioniert, man muss sich aber jeden Tag neu einloggen. Dafür gibts keine internationalen, sprich englischen Sender im TV auf dem Zimmer (jedenfalls nicht bei uns). Und beim Duschen muss man einen Zeitmesser dabei haben, da das Wasser nach ca. 5min stetig an Temperatur verliert.

地理位置好，在市區中心，步行到奧馬爾.阿里.賽義夫丁蘇丹清真寺三分鐘，步行到蘇丹紀念館三分鐘，步行到水上村碼頭兩分鐘，步行到文萊皇家廣場一分鐘不用，步行到購物中心兩分鐘，購物中心地下有一個大型超市，各類商品十分齊全。購物中心內有許多餐廳，吃飯方便。我是因為第二天凌晨2點的飛機，中午12點前退了原來住的酒店，臨時訂了一個小單間休息及上機場前洗個澡。價格還算便宜，主要缺點是全部青旅幾間房衹有一個衞生間，上廁所及洗澡都在裏面，住客人多的話肯定有問題，會等較長時間。

The hotel is located quite far from the city center, but it does provide a free shuttle service to and from the airport. It is also not very close to the sea; however, this is not a major issue since swimming is prohibited at the nearby beaches anyway. Additionally, there are no cafes or shops within walking distance of the hotel, which makes the location even less convenient. The prices at the hotel’s cafe are overpriced. The hotel’s design feels somewhat outdated, but nothing critical. What was truly disappointing, however, was the service. The hotel presents itself as a 4-star property, yet it is surprisingly strict about a very basic necessity — drinking water. Guests are provided with only one bottle of water per person per day. There is coffee and tea available in the room, but to boil the kettle you need additional drinking water, which the staff refused to provide. They insisted that water had already been supplied during housekeeping and that no more was allowed. We had to keep asking for it as if they were personally paying for it themselves. That was extremely unpleasant. The tap water is yellow, and there were also issues with the hot water. Only one person works at the reception desk, which is clearly insufficient for a hotel with this many rooms, resulting in long waiting times. The reception staff are not knowledgeable about nearby attractions and do not assist with arranging tours, suggesting that guests find everything out on their own. Unfortunately, the overall service was extremely disappointing.

Ich war zum ersten Mal in Brunei. Das Hotel war sehr günstig gelegen, sodass ich schnell zu allen Zielen gelangen konnte. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und die Serviceleistungen wie Regenschirmverleih und Mietwagenbuchung waren sehr gut und umfassend. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war insgesamt gut.

I had an excellent stay at Centrepoint Hotel and was very impressed with the overall experience. From check-in to check-out, everything was smooth, comfortable, and well managed. The front desk and reception staff were exceptionally helpful, welcoming, and professional. Every member of the team I encountered was friendly, courteous, and always greeted guests with a warm smile, making me feel truly welcome throughout my stay. I was also impressed by the hotel's prompt service. As I was unfamiliar with the air-conditioning controls in my room, I contacted the front desk for assistance. Two maintenance staff members arrived within just a few minutes, helped me to reset the air-conditioning system, and patiently showed me how to adjust the temperature. The quick response and friendly assistance were greatly appreciated. The room and hotel facilities were clean, comfortable, and well maintained, providing a relaxing environment after a full day of exploring Brunei. Thank you to the entire Centrepoint Hotel team for your outstanding hospitality. Your excellent service made my trip even more enjoyable.
