Beautiful hotel staff very attentive friendly definitely staying again best sleep ever

An excellent overnight stay in this charming hotel. Good service, lovely food and a great location!

From the moment we arrived at the hotel the staff couldn’t be more friendly and helpful. The bunker room made for a unique and comfortable stay and loved the little touches like the KitKats in the room on arrival. The only small complaint would be the shower head sprayed out, the whole bathroom floor to become soaked, but nothing major at all. We’ll definitely be back and recommending to to anyone staying in York.

I thought that this hotel represented excellent value for money. My room was lovely and beautifully decorated. The toiletries in the bathroom were very nice indeed. The tea and coffee making facilities were excellent. Good quality (Yorkshire) tea bags, and instead of the little tubes of very poor quality coffee, there were proper coffee bags, including a decaf option. A choice of white or brown sugar was available and I definitely appreciated the kitkats!.I will definitely visit again.

Room small but comfortable and well equipped. Plus points for Kit-Kats, minus points for lack of soap (I can’t abide shower gel). All service very efficient and very friendly. Excellent breakfast, cooked to order. A welcome change from tired buffets. Short walk from centre, station and NRM.

I love staying at the Churchill and it’s my go to place to stay when I head to York. It’s always clean, the staff are really friendly and professional. The food is great and the location is fabulous.

Superb and well maintained premises, exceptionally professional, kind, welcoming staff. Good selection of dining options and exquisite room and decor, only let down by the fact that the cold water tap on the bath was unfortunately faulty.

From check in to check out the staff were exceptional. Knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. The rooms were great, bed super comfortable. Only.gripe noise from room above was a little noisy. Great location within easy walk of York and shambles

The Churchill is a lovely place to stay. But once again time was against us on our stay in York. You seem to run out of time so quickly while you are there. But staying so close to the Town Centre was ideal. Highly recommend the Churchill.

Nice, clean and tidy hotel but the room we had was next to the heating boiler and unfortunately was noisy all night.

Our stay at the Churchill was just perfect, we chose to book a superior 4 poster room and it didn’t disappoint ❤️ The room was beautiful with a roll top bath in it ❤️ The furniture and decor were in keeping with the building, just beautiful! The bathroom was beautiful with the added touch of luxury toiletries ❤️ dressing gowns and the thickest fluffy towels I have ever seen ❤️ The four poster bed was so comfortable and we both slept amazingly well! We included breakfast, the choice was outstanding, my husband chose a full English and I chose the Canadian pancakes with maple syrup and crispy bacon, oh my god they were breakfasts to die for! The staff were the most welcoming of any hotel we have stayed in, an absolute credit to the Churchill. We would definitely recommend anyone to stay here ❤️
