Ramada by Wyndham Williams

I was stuck overnight in Williams when my car broke down. It was—not ideal. The only bright spot in my ordeal was the lovely couple who manage this inn. They were so kind and the husband in particular gave me a ride to pick up my car. Truly lovely people.

Wonderful stay at the Ramada Inn! We had a king bedroom. Air conditioning worked fantastic (very hot day!) and the room was clean. Internet functioned well while I worked on my laptop in the room. Friendly and welcoming staff and a nice open lobby. Decent breakfast with hot options. Would stay here again.

I’ve learned a lot about the hotel industry from this stay. I picked this hotel because I have stayed at Wyndham brand hotels in the past. I saw that this hotel location had a lot of negative reviews under a prior brand name. Silly me; I thought this meant the hotel was under new management, under Ramada/Wyndham standards, so decided to give this place a chance. The stay was a disaster. Upon arrival, we were given directions to the room, including a suggestion to move our car closer to the wing of the building where our room was supposed to be. I say supposed because the directions were wrong— our room was on the far opposite side of the hotel, so we got to drag our luggage across the entire hotel, then later had to move our car again. In the process we realized all of the security doors on our side of the building were non functional with broken locks. But that was not the end of the disappointing experience: the tub/shower diverter was broken so a dribble came out the shower head & rest came out the tub spout… making it impossible to take a shower or fill the tub for a bath. The bathroom exhaust fan was also broken so the bathroom became intolerable from steam while I was learning my much desired shower wasn’t going to happen. The promised “free” internet connection also didn’t work— lasted a minute or two after completing the log in process. I made my dissatisfaction known to the front desk only to be told only a manager could address my concerns and no manager on staff. After multiple calls and messages to the manager, none of which were returned, I called Wyndham and learned Wyndham doesn’t own or control standards on their family of brands. They are franchises and all their customer service could do is send additional messages to the hotel manager. I also submitted a complaint with the better business bureau. I don’t know what finally prompted the hotel manager to email me, but the response was “sorry, we will try to do better next time.” My fear is subsequent guests to this hotel will suffer the same fate we did. The tub/shower looks like it hadn’t worked for a while & since the company policy is not to compensate unhappy guests in any way, there is no financial incentive to fix it. I expect the hotel will choose to leave it non functional as unsuspecting guests will not be compensated, no down side for them.

We stayed here for a church event nearby and I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Our room was very clean. The breakfast was ok not great but for the price it was fine. We had the king suite and the bed was comfortable. We had a little trouble adjusting the heater but it definitely worked 😁

We always have a wonderful stay here. Rosie and Ramon are great they check us in quickly and always friendly. We travel here almost weekly and they have our favorite room reserved for us. Always clean and this is our home away from home

Everything was very nice except our door entry key did not work. Staff helped by using a special key to let us in. During our 2 night stay the door lovk was bever repaired. Hopefully they will have maintenance fix that. Otherwise a bery nice stay.

I would rather sleep in my car than ever come back here. Filthy rug in room caused me to keep my socks on during the stay. The internet was pathetically slow...think dial up speed. Ramada refuses to pay for good internet connections.

Judging by the decent reviews & 3 star rating, your stay depends on your room #? Looked for budget friendly overnight stay after meeting up with our son from college, following a long day of hunting. Booked our room - prepaid - for $102 AFTER $77 in rewards was used. Have a small dog we travel with so knew we'd probably be downgraded. Checked in after long day around 5pm. No elevator. No biggie. Passed maid sitting on stained couch upstairs talking on her phone with cart partially blocking hallway. Room seemed cleanish. No hairs or dirt around sink, toilet or tub. Spots above shower but i hadnt planned to take one & boys arent picky. Bed sheets were clean. We brought our own pillows. Wasnt until we settled in that our son noted the window & screen. AC unit. Then I went to make coffee. Disgusting! Went to front desk to ask for replacement and staff said they'd work on it. While there, 2 people needed key cards reprogrammed. I asked if it was because of pet friendly room that it hadnt been cleaned in a while? He said despite my online msg at booking and call earlier in the day.. he didnt know we had a dog and would still need the $10 pet fee. So no. Debated asking for refund but not always easy, and when looking weeks ago there werent a ton of options, husband & son were tired so just stuck it out. Should have left. When I went back down with the $10, another person was at the front desk needing their room key reprogrammed. Coffee pot never showed. Room WAY worse in the light of day. Space too small (4 tables in tiny nook right in front of stairs to get to 2nd floor rooms) with minimal options to have breakfast there. Counter space was big enough for 2-3 people shoulder to shoulder. We checked out at 10am on a Sunday. (Only reason we stayed as long as we did is to visit with our son before heading home.) 2 of the 4 cars left in the lot were ours. Seemed no one wanted to linger. Will never go back and would NOT recommend! Bummed I wasted my rewards towards this stay.

The place was clean and reasonably priced. The towel seemed a little worn and had a small beetle walking around the bathroom and crawling in and out under the tub. That was the only down side of my stay
