We always stay at the Lion & Key when we visit London and have been fortunate enough to stay here again in October, December, and also January for my husbands 80th birthday. This really is the ”Savoy” of the small hotels in London and we always know without fail, we will have the most perfect stay. All the staff genuinely care about their guests having the best experience and you cannot fault the care and attention to detail that this hotel takes to ensure an excellent customer experience. They have a great team of which we would like to thank Giorgio, Kanti and Stephania for making all our visits a home away from home. The rooms and also public areas in the hotel are kept pristinely clean and are bright and cheerful. I love the attention to detail this hotel has even with the smallest thing. i.e. the shower cap in the bathroom also has a small hairband in the box ,which is excellent if you have long hair and can’t find your own! The beds are also extremely comfortable and we both always have an excellent night sleep. We love the open kitchen where you can see all the food being freshly prepared and cooked to order. They are very generous with their breakfast time which doesn’t end until 12 o’clock lunchtime. The choice and range that they offer in their restaurant, regardless of breakfast or main meals throughout the day would accommodate even the most fussiest eaters, which I am, but even I am extremely spoilt for choice as the breakfast menu is so comprehensive. The quality of the ingredients used in the restaurant is first class and so is the time and care in presentation which also reflects the pride that they take. We can honestly say that the breakfast’s we have at the L&K are the most tastiest, freshest, consistently perfect breakfast’s we have ever had and far exceed the quality that we have experienced over the years in 4 & 5 star hotels. To be honest, we often wonder how they continuously provide such care and attention to detail for the customer, even more so since Covid as many many hotels and restaurants seem to still use this as an excuse for a less than perfect service or menu range. We must’ve had over 100 of breakfasts since we have been coming here in 2018 and the eggs are always perfectly cooked with a lovely orange yolk, regardless of whether it’s a normal full English breakfast, or my husbands favorite the Egg Royale. We very rarely eat sausages or bacon at home, but the quality and taste of the ones here are amazing, so we always, always enjoy our breakfast which set us up for exploring all day. The transport links to this hotel are excellent as well. There are four buses that go past the hotel to Leyton underground, one of which is running 24 hours and they seem to come by every few minutes. Stratford is only four stops from Leyton so excellent connections for overground, DLR, O2 etc. Liverpool Street is the next stop along for even more connections so the location we find is a great asset to wherever we

Wir besuchten Ende August 2021 und die Erfahrung war nicht gut! Im Gegensatz zu einem angenehmen jungen Mann, nur in ein Zimmer für eine Person ( wir sind ein paar ) direkt hinter dem Hotel mit einem langen Halle und Flügen von Treppen hatten wir ein paar Gepäckstücke, als wir am nächsten Tag zu einer Hochzeit gingen. Nicht glücklich mit unserem Zimmer, aber wir konnten es nicht ändern, weil keine Zimmer mehr verfügbar waren. Wir wurden auch darüber informiert, dass kontinentales Frühstück täglich verfügbar war, aber wir konnten keine Beweise dafür sehen, da das Restaurant von Innenverschluss geschlossen wurde (siehe Bilder) Unser Zimmer wurde am nächsten Tag geändert, aber wir mussten eine Hochzeit gehen, so fragte ich, ob wir später bewegen konnten nein! War die blöde Antwort keinerlei Erwägung gezeigt, als sie uns in ein kleines Zimmer setzen! Wir mussten sofort oder sofort bewegen. Auch das Restaurant sah immer noch aus wie ein Gebäude und in der Ecke war ein Staubtisch mit schmutzigen Platten, als wir Beschwerden, wie wir vor unserer Ankunft informiert wurden, gab es kontinentales Frühstück jemand wurde gerufen, um den Tisch zu reinigen und Brot zu setzen, Milch und ein paar Kisten Getreide, um die Situation zu beruhigen ( siehe Pic ) es war schrecklich Die Zimmer sind nicht so groß und Sie können alles durch die Wände hören. Einige Tage im Restaurant wurden gereinigt und ein volles Frühstück serviert, aber das war ein bisschen zu spät, da wir nur 2 Tage aus unserem Aufenthalt und die vorangegangenen Tage hatten wir unser eigenes Frühstück zu kaufen, wenn das hätte geliefert werden sollen, wie wir bezahlt haben. dies!!! Parken ist auch nicht so groß zuerst gekommen zuerst serviert und Parken in den umliegenden Straßen ist schrecklich mein bestes Rat von unserer Erfahrung ist, diesen Ort zu vermeiden und irgendwo anders zu finden!!! Das Personal dort zeigte keinerlei Professionalität oder Bescheidenheit für unsere Situation und versuchte uns hinsichtlich der Frühstückssituation und unseres Zimmers zu entfremden.

Good value stay in this well-located capsule-style hotel. Right in the centre of Bethnal Green near the tube station, bus stop, museums, York Hall leisure centre, and various restaurants. Felt fairly safe for a lone female traveller. The compact Queen room was small, as expected, but well designed and did not feel too claustrophobic for one person. The bathroom was nicely decorated, clean and warm. Large TV with various apps (login required). Nespresso machine but no kettle or fridge. The room (on the third floor) looked straight out to the railway line and restaurants under the arches, but the soundproofing was excellent and the blackout blind seemed effective so I had a good night's sleep. Staff were helpful (providing me with a knife and fork to eat a takeaway, for example) but the self-check in/out was unnecessarily complicated, which meant the staff felt they had to be on hand to help guide you through it all the time anyway! Breakfast was included in my room rate but was a little disappointing - no decaffeinated coffee or herbal teabags, fairly limited hot food (bacon, scrambled eggs, beans and hash browns). However the pastries, cereals and so on looked good. Would stay again if a good price was available.

Wir haben am Ibis Budget Barking an einer der heißesten Nächte des Jahres geblieben. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte brillant, so hatten wir eine viel bessere Nacht als Freunde, die in einem viel teureren Hotel im Zentrum von London geblieben waren! Wir waren an einer Veranstaltung an der University of East London SportsDock teilnehmen. Es war sehr einfach zu erreichen - nur einen kurzen Spaziergang zum Bushalte von Tesco, eine Busfahrt 19-minute, die uns sehr nahe an der Ort - so Ibis Budget Barking ist ideal für jemand, der zu etwas in East London gehen möchte. Die Vorderseite des Hauspersonals war sehr freundlich und hilfreich. Ich habe diese 4 statt 5 als Kessel bewertet, sollte ein Standardangebot in allen Zimmern (in Ibis Budget Portsmouth hatten wir eine Kessel). Aber im Allgemeinen ist eine ausgezeichnete Budget-Position.

Wasser ließ aus, was nicht der Hotels schuld war. Aber sie weigerten uns alles zu bieten, um zu korrigieren. Das ist schlechtes Management. Oder nur schlechte Gastfreundschaft

Schöne Übernachtung. Fantastisches Zimmer - Executive Lounge Room 614 - mit großer Aussicht auf den Kreuzbahn. Nur unten war, dass Sie die DLR am Sonntagmorgen um 7 Uhr anfangen hörten. Die Rezeption, Sandra, war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit und die Bar am Abend mit dem Personal war ebenfalls sehr gut. Der Exekutivlounge im 7. Stock hatte eine gute Auswahl an weichen Getränken, aber wir waren nicht um die heißen Appetitzer oder freien Wein & Bier am Abend zu versuchen, da wir schon Abendessen im West End hatten. Transportweise, es ist ein 2-minütiges Spaziergang zum DLR, weniger als 5 bis zur neuen Elizabeth Line und nur ein paar mehr bis zur Jubilee Line - perfekt positioniert! Viele Restaurants und Bars zu wählen auch. Das Frühstück war fantastisch, besonders geliebt die Donutswand! Ganz neu! Das kochte Frühstück war lecker, mit Omelettes gemacht, um zu bestellen - mehr Nahrung, als Sie behandeln konnten! Wird sicherlich sehen, um in der Zukunft wieder zu bleiben.

To whom it may concern I wish to complain about my experience with the Canary Wharf point A hotel on the 24th of March. I was very disappointed with the service and lack of professionalism members of staff showed me and my friends during our short time at the hotel. Firstly, we got told to turn the music down which I totally understand and respected, after turning the music right down we get another knock on the door and once again it was security and a female member of staff claiming we were doing drugs and smoking (which really upset and offended me as I have recently lost a close friend to drug use). I offered them to come and search the room to prove we had no drugs and weren’t smoking but they were having none of it and told us we had to leave. To make it even worse they also made my other two friends leave who were in a totally separate room with no reason or evidence of this supposed drug use and smoking. I tried explaining that we have travelled from Sunderland and would be stranded with no where to stay but I was ignored and told to leave. Before we left the same female member of staff told us the manager has told them to make us leave she then gave us a card with a number to get hold of the manager which we rung immediately after leaving. If our experience with the hotel and service wasn’t bad enough, we then get told on the phone there’s no manager in the building which makes me believe the manager never told anyone to kick us out. In total we spent around 2 hours in the hotel and when I asked about getting a refund I got totally blanked and ignored. I have also emailed Canary Wharf point A hotel to express my disappointment with how we were treated but have not received a reply at this moment. Das Frühstück kostete 5 Pfund mit einer Auswahl an gekochtem *, Müsli, Toast, S*****en und Käse. Getränke waren Milch und Orangensaft. Es war praktisch, einen Duschraum für Männer und Frauen mit einer Badewanne und separaten Duschräumen für Frauen und Männer zu haben. Es gab auch eine Waschküche und ein Bügelbrett. Eine Gepäckaufbewahrung war auch für 3 Pfund vorhanden, und ich konnte nach dem Auschecken in der freien Zeit zum Flughafen ohne Gepäck Sightseeing machen. Es war im Grunde sauber und gut. Ich konnte verschiedene Leute kennenlernen und es war eine gute Erfahrung. Der einzige Nachteil war, dass es schwierig war, auf das Etagenbett zu klettern, und es unbequem war, auf und ab zu gehen.
