Plane deinen Aufenthalt in Leyton

We always stay at the Lion & Key when we visit London and have been fortunate enough to stay here again in October, December, and also January for my husbands 80th birthday. This really is the ”Savoy” of the small hotels in London and we always know without fail, we will have the most perfect stay. All the staff genuinely care about their guests having the best experience and you cannot fault the care and attention to detail that this hotel takes to ensure an excellent customer experience. They have a great team of which we would like to thank Giorgio, Kanti and Stephania for making all our visits a home away from home. The rooms and also public areas in the hotel are kept pristinely clean and are bright and cheerful. I love the attention to detail this hotel has even with the smallest thing. i.e. the shower cap in the bathroom also has a small hairband in the box ,which is excellent if you have long hair and can’t find your own! The beds are also extremely comfortable and we both always have an excellent night sleep. We love the open kitchen where you can see all the food being freshly prepared and cooked to order. They are very generous with their breakfast time which doesn’t end until 12 o’clock lunchtime. The choice and range that they offer in their restaurant, regardless of breakfast or main meals throughout the day would accommodate even the most fussiest eaters, which I am, but even I am extremely spoilt for choice as the breakfast menu is so comprehensive. The quality of the ingredients used in the restaurant is first class and so is the time and care in presentation which also reflects the pride that they take. We can honestly say that the breakfast’s we have at the L&K are the most tastiest, freshest, consistently perfect breakfast’s we have ever had and far exceed the quality that we have experienced over the years in 4 & 5 star hotels. To be honest, we often wonder how they continuously provide such care and attention to detail for the customer, even more so since Covid as many many hotels and restaurants seem to still use this as an excuse for a less than perfect service or menu range. We must’ve had over 100 of breakfasts since we have been coming here in 2018 and the eggs are always perfectly cooked with a lovely orange yolk, regardless of whether it’s a normal full English breakfast, or my husbands favorite the Egg Royale. We very rarely eat sausages or bacon at home, but the quality and taste of the ones here are amazing, so we always, always enjoy our breakfast which set us up for exploring all day. The transport links to this hotel are excellent as well. There are four buses that go past the hotel to Leyton underground, one of which is running 24 hours and they seem to come by every few minutes. Stratford is only four stops from Leyton so excellent connections for overground, DLR, O2 etc. Liverpool Street is the next stop along for even more connections so the location we find is a great asset to wherever we

Alles über dieses Apartment war perfekt! Es war sauber und die Aussicht war schön. Das Personal war freundlich. Der einzige Nebenteil war die Parkgebühr, die £16 pro Nacht betrug. Andere als dass es ein toller Aufenthalt war!

Das Personal war sehr hilfsbereit, ein besonderer Dank geht an das Personal an der Rezeption, das uns half, ein anderes Zimmer zu arrangieren, da wir Privatsphäre wollten (das Zimmer, das wir zugewiesen bekamen, war im 2/F und blickte auf einen Fitnessraum, was nicht sehr angenehm war). Das Design ist modern und sauber. In der Nähe der DLR-Station und nur wenige Gehminuten von Westfield entfernt.

Wir haben in diesem 4 Nächte in einem Standartzimmer übernachtet. Es war ein sehr gepflegtes und wunderschönes eingerichtetes Zimmer mit ausreichend Platz. Das Mobiliar ist neu und sehr modern. Das Bad war sauber und würde täglich gereinigt. Das Bett war ein Traum!! Ich habe super gut geschlafen - für mein Mann war das Bett jedoch zu weich. Im Vergleich zur City in London ist das Hotel recht günstig mit ~ 130 € die Nacht. Das Hotel ist 40 min von Stanstet Flughafen entfernt und der Bus hält direkt davor. Nach London City brauch man 15 bis 20 min mit der Unterground. Also wirklich eine Top Lage. Warum aber nun nur 4 Punkte? Die Rezeption ist nicht gleich ersichtbar und man steht erstmal planlos in einem Restaurant. Das Hotel preist mit Bilder von einem Hochhaus - jedoch befindet sich das Hotel nur im Anbau von Etage 0 bis 6. In den Garten auf der Terasse 7. Etage konnten wir leider die 5 Tage nicht besuchen. Wenn man nach 1 a.m. ankommt sind alle Türen verschlossen und man muss an der Scheibe klopfen!! Wie ich schon schrieb, ist die Rezeption nicht von außen ersichtlich. Der Nachtwächter hatte uns dann nach 10 min geöffnet. Das Frühstück!! Wir hatten ohne Frühstück gebucht und wollten dann dies nachbuchen. War leider nicht möglich und sie sagten uns, das wir uns einfach unten ins Restaurant setzen sollen. Hier gibt es kein Buffet sondern eine Karte. Wir bestellten uns 2 English Full Breakfast, 2 Kaffee und 2 Orangensäfte und zahlten dann 49 £ .. Das ist natürlich schon heftig wenn man mit Vorbuchung nur 18 € p.P. gezahlt hätte. Aber ich vermute es wäre eh ein anderes Frühstück geworden. Das war alles etwas irreführend. Jedenfalls war aber das Frühstück gut aber mein Mann hätte noch mehr vertragen. Der Raum war im Untergeschoss also im Foyer und wirkte modern aber auch kalt. Durch die geöffneten Türen fröstelte ich leicht. Wir waren dann die nächsten Tage im Westfield Center frühstücken für 7 bis 8 £. Wir kommen aber trotzdem wieder. Service ist Top und alle sehr freundlich.

Ich liebe es wirklich, hier zu bleiben und war lange Zeit. Letzte Zeit während meines Aufenthalts am Montag habe ich das Haus um @ 2:30 gebeten. Es war nicht getan, während ich in einer Stunde zurückkam. Ich fragte mich nochmals, dass ich das tun sollte, während es nicht getan wurde, dann ging ich draußen und kam um 9:40 Uhr zurück und dann was ich sah, dass ein paar Schalenbehälter reinigen, aber so beunruhigt, dass mein 2 Gäste mit mir war . So musste draußen noch eine halbe Stunde warten. Das war so seltsam und ich war nicht glücklich . Auch die Second Last Time passiert das gleiche und links Bewertung und niemand stört sogar, um das von Hotel antworten. Und normalerweise bewahre ich 2 Schlüsselkarten, aber warum Hose Bewahrungspersonal meinen Zimmerschlüssel nehmen, während sie sauber sind. Jedenfalls liebe ich immer noch dort zu bleiben, aber musste ni korrigiert werden.
