Das Hotel ist super gelegen mit Blick auf die Burg. Die Zimmer sind typisch japanisches Business Hotel. Nur leider haben Wände, Fenster und Bad dringend eine Renovierung nötig. Schade drum

Smile Hotel Wakayama is conveniently located right beside Wakayama Castle, making it a great choice for sightseeing and exploring the area. Overall, we had a good stay and a pleasant experience. Although the hotel’s renovation and interior are slightly outdated, the room was still clean and comfortable. Considering the price and the excellent location, it is more than acceptable and offers great value for money. What truly stood out was the excellent service from the front desk staff. They were extremely friendly, helpful, and professional. We encountered a problem with our car during our stay, and the staff kindly assisted us by contacting the police and helping us handle the situation, which we really appreciated. Overall, it’s a great option if you’re looking for a budget-friendly hotel with a fantastic location and outstanding service.

Big room, bath tub, limitless amenities downstairs, great view on castle, close to the station, not many questions asked in the lobby, can bring guests and ladies, etc. Number 1 in Wakayama. Recommend!

No convenient store nearby. They refused to let us reserve parking but when we arrived, there was like only 1 other car. No amenities like facial lotion.

Breakfast is so nice! It is a good experience to enjoy your meal with the scenery :)

The hotel has convenient location, the staff were nice and the room was as expected. Good value

The location is just fine for seeing museums, it’s just for eating options (including supermarkets) that it’s a bit out of the way. Microwave and vending machines on the ground floor. It’s a good value and glad I picked this for my 3 night stay. I didn’t try the breakfast since it looked like it might be fully booked from the sign but I might have been misunderstanding what it was saying.

The smoking room is like hundreds of smokers in this room with you. It's super disappointing that the hotel doesn't take any air cleaning activities in this room and all the facilities are old.

Facilities and service rendered are at reasonable level. The location is just next to the Wakayama Castle. Reception is 24/7, which is appreciated.
