Vienna Boutique - Premium Hostel

I am an older single female traveler and I never stay in hostels. But I decided to give this one a try because it’s summer and everything with a single room was booked out or too expensive. So I booked here and stayed for three nights. First of all I noticed that the place is impeccably clean with a no shoes on The carpet policy. And it’s beautifully decorated with Vienna succession and art nouveau furnishings. It’s in a beautiful fin-de-Siecle building as well. The rooms are cleverly designed and reminded me of bunks in The orient express. They take advantage of The high ceilings so you aren’t squished into a bunk. Thry are also built extremely well. I am a light sleeper and all three nights the people above me left before me and I didn’t hear them at all. The bunks come with USB ports built into the wall plug and a dimmer light. And the beds are hotel quality comfortable beds with nice soft comforter and pillow. There is a privacy curtain and the bathroom is huge. Lastly, the people running the place are very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. Single female travelers, you will be happy here!

This is a well maintained basic hostel. My problem with it is the use of the title boutique, which suggests a different product than it offers. Boutique suggests quality, personal service, perhaps a touch of luxury or added comfort. While the bed was comfortable and showers clean, the towels were tiny, I'm not a giant either. There was coffee offered but no milk, there was no breakfast, which is pretty standard in most hostels, and its a fair distance from the sights. And they were charging a premium price for very little. All these things could be tweaked easily, and I met some very nice people, and the staff were great.

I was looking for a hostel close to Wiener Stadthalle so that's why I chose the general area but I was relighted with the Hostel. I arrived late but the instructions they owners had sent out meant that I found and accessed my room and bed without any difficultly. The hostel is immaculately clean. The rooms, bathrooms, bedding, common areas and kitchen are perfectly clean. The Rooms I stayed in a 3 bed dorm that had a private toilet and shower, towel and sheet were included and there is a locker in the room for storing valuables. No need to bring a lock! The beds had curtains for privacy and each bed had its own light, plug and usb charger. Very handy! Excellent rooms. The Common Area. There's free tea and coffee and plates and cutlery for use. Guests can also use the small kitchen and fridge. I cant remember of their was a cooker or if this kinda of cooking is ok but guests have the use of the kitchen either way. Staff Couldn't have been friendlier and professional. My first night there, I arrived back to find 2 American girls having some trouble with keys. I helped them ring one of the owners at 1am and he said he come in early to help them before they left for their flight. He wasn't annoyed to be getting phone calls that late, just professional and helpful. Overall the guys I met working at the desk were great, helpful and friendly, they couldn't do more for you. Local Area There's a nice bar next door that operates as an NGO which was something I hadn't seen before. There's loads of places to eat near by and the lads there can recommend. (I ate in a Mexican place nearby, savage!) The hostel is close to the subway making it very handy to get around the city. Would happily stay here again.
