We stayed 3 nights in this lovely hotel on the edge of the Jewish quarter and within easy walking distance to the train station as well as an easy 30min walk to Piazza San Marco. The canal at which the hotel is located looks very nice and it is not as busy and crowded as many other canals in Venice. As we were in Venice mainly for the Biennale, we did not spend a lot of time in the hotel itself, but the time we spent there was very pleasant and comfortable. We had a nice, spacious, double room on the first floor without canal view but we didn't really miss that. Also the bathroom was well equipped and spacious and nicely decorated, just like the room itself, in a traditional style. The bed was pretty comfortable. All the windows could be opened but there was also airco, which was working well and pretty quiet. There was just a small TV, but we didn't use that. We sure did enjoy the coffee and tea facilities in the room. The hotel does not offer breakfast, but there are several good breakfast cafes in the area. Check-in and -out for the hotel is actually in another hotel along the same canal, closer to the street from/to the train station. One of the best things about this hotel was the staff, which were all very friendly, professional and helpful. This applies to reception as well as housekeeping. We also much appreciated the early check-in. We would definitely consider staying here again when next in Venice.
