Premier Resort Cutty Sark

Located about an hour out of King Shaka International Airport, offer comfortable rooms, great views, and easy access to the beach. If you love scuba diving, surfing or the beach, it's awesome. The hotel staff are friendly and happy to help make your stay as pleasant as possible. Don't forget the sunscreen. The hotel is also located about 8 km from an awesome cage shark diving spot, and about 10 km from crocworld, where they have daily feedings at 11 am in the mornings.

I had booked in with my family into Cutty Sark Hotel in Umkomaas, on the KZN South Coast on the 22nd. August, 2023. My daughter is unable to walk due to a serious recent illness and required a wheel chair. The staff kindly provided a wheel chair for free for the duration of our stay and went out of their way to accommodate us and make my daughter feel welcome. They have a room for disabled persons on their ground floor and it was of a very high quality of amenities and completely wheelchair friendly. Even accessing the bath WC facilities. We were very worried when we first made the booking because we did not know if my daughter would manage and the reception we would get from the staff for the extra work involved as this was the first time my daughter was going out after being hospitalised in bed for 8 months continuously. She had lost two thirds of her normal body weight and could not walk at all. This was a new experience for us. The only problem was the wheel chair ramp at the entrance to the reception area was a bit steep but the staff helped us to push the wheelchair up. From there it was plain sailing. Even to going outside and parking her wheelchair near the swimming pool. I want to put on record my sincere thanks to all of the staff of this lovely establishment for giving us a 120% experience. Enjoyed a weekend away at Premier Cutty Sark in Scottburgh with the family. Beautiful pool in front of the hotel. Short walk to the beach. Beach was clean. Swimming beach to the right of the beach. Look for the flags. The Cutty Sark serves breakfast and dinner in the restaurant. They have lunches available as well.

The rooms are modern, beds are super comfortable, linen spottlessly clean, bathroom well appointed and clean, serviced daily with super friendly efficient staff. The view ofvthe ocean is awesome but would be better if the windiws were a bit bigger and could open at a lower height.Dining is awesome first class breakfast buffet and al a carte dinner menu. Front of house staff very efficient polite and courteous. Safe parking, clean grounds and gardens and sparkling pool. Hotel has a generator to deal with load shedding when the power is off.

The worst waxing experience ever. Unfriendly manager and staff in the spa. I went for an urgent leg and underarm wax and might as well have not since the wax was not melted and I left having felt no difference was made even though the prices are more than market related in the area. Definitely not recommended.

Wonderful hotel situated on a beautiful beach. Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff and great service. Rooms lovely and very clean with stunning sea view. Perfect for a beach holiday and very suitable for children to have a wonderful time. Restaurant is also very good. Wine list somewhat limited. Highly recommend.

What a lovely hotel in a great location. The hotel is right on the beach and has great pool facilities. A perfect end to a busy holiday. Our room overlooked the beach and had a lovely patio area that opened onto the gardens. Rooms are great, especially if travelling with family as offers a 2 bedroom option. Breakfast was really good and came with table service. There are great restaurants close by with an abundance of seafood. The staff are great and there is the added bonus of spa facilities , I'm really pleased with my pedicure and manicure!

Booked a weekend away at the Cutty Sark with my wife. Stayed at this hotel a number of times prior to the refurbishment and was amazed at new Cutty Sark. Was allocated a room on the 4th floor overlooking the beach. Short walk from the hotel and you are on the beach. It was a very relaxing weekend with long walks on the beach. Breakfast was good with a variety of options. I stuck to the omlette and fruit. On the whole we were happy with the stay. I have 2 suggestions. 1. Consider marking the meat dishes to distinguish between, lamb, chicken, beef and pork.( Breakfast). 2. Consider offering an Indian bouquet option for your Indian customers.

Lovely hotel. Was clean, neat and modern with beautiful views and so close to the beach. Had a small issue at check in. They allocated us a non sea view room although I had paid for a Seaview room on ***********. They wanted us to pay for an upgrade but eventually gave a room with partial Seaview. The check in receptionist was not very welcoming. Breakfast was sufficient but could do with filter coffee instead of instant. Room did not have a fridge. However I would recommend this hotel for future travels.
