Hotel Valemare

Overall, hotel food and appearance did not disappoint. The front reception was awful. They refused to give us the room we booked online. We paid the higher price for the larger room and were never compensated for the difference. They did not want to hear our story and said the room did not exist. We found out that our neighbours had the room type we booked. So it did exist. They may have overbooked, which is fine, but at least say sorry and reimburse use the difference. They did not and did not care. They did nothing to help us. Beware of the bait and switch on the rooms. Just book another hotel, save the headaches.

Wonderful Week staying at the Mediterranean Boutique Hotel -previously called Valemare The Hotel rooms suited our needs as we are out most of the day - very comfortable- perfect for our budget - we went with TUI and breakfast and Evening meal were inclusive in the Price - the Best part of the Hotel is the Veranda and pool which has stunning views out over the sea - you can have your breakfast and dinner looking out over the sea - also the Sicilian Chef is amazing and puts out some beautiful Italian dishes Primo and Secondo - his plate of Mussels and clams with Spaghetti was Knockout among many, - also the waiting staff are TOP CLASS led by the amazing Domenico and his team - Thankyou Guys for a great week

Were at this hotel for 2weeks Overall staff were 1st class especially Dominico & his team...the girls on reception were very helpful with any queries Breakfast had something for everyone and more..although dinner was pre-order that morning it was delicious & included water & 1/2 carafe of wine which was an extra bonus Rooms could with an update but looks like this could' b already happening Rooms were cleaned every day & clean towels ..the location is fab having breakfast & dinner outside overlooking the beaches Would definitely go back

What a great place with lovely people ❤️ We really enjoyed staying at Valemare Hotel and we thinking about to book again for next year. Food was FANTASTIC!!! Room nice and clean even too big for us . stayed at the Hotel Valemare at the end of August for two weeks It was a boutique hotel overlooking the sea, it had fabulous views, we stayed on half board basis. It was clean and comfortable, beds changed on a regular basis You had to choose your dinner at breakfast, it was very limited, but homemade and tasted good, we did have lunch on a couple of occasions and again I thought lunch was probably better that dinner. The staff ware young and helpful, always a bright Buongiorno from Martina who worked on reception, served breakfast and also helped with cleaning the rooms, we could not work the Air-condition and Latitia, who also worked on reception came straight away and showed us how to use it. Little things are very important There was a stairway down to the beach, which was gated and you needed to use a key which was attached to your room key to open it, there was also a small swimming pool in the complex next door and you had to pay €10 per person per day, Sunbeds on the beach were €25 per day for two beds and an umbrella It was about 10-minute walk into the town center and also about a 10-minute walk to the main supermarket Euro Spin in the other direction Overall, a very pleasant stay

Tropea is truly one of the most beautiful places I have visited in my life. Hotel Vilamare offers a view of this gorgeous town that will take your breath away. The rooms are clean and perfect for a beach experience.. The restaurant is absolutely amazing with incredible Italian food. But what really got me to love the place was the staff who works at this hotel... Starting from Martina, then Lucas and Carmela who went out of their way to make this such an unforgettable stay... I would love to return and visit this paradise on earth.. soon..

It was the worst experience I had in my trip to Italy. Property condition unacceptable and people working there which I want to remark Leticia and Martina , very unprofessional. Martina doesn’t have manners and she was very disrespectful she doesn’t have skill to work with customer service. She should be fired. Only one thing I need to remark it is the beautiful view to the sea from the hotel . Also ******* needs to be sure about Hotels condition before to publish those on the website this way would avoid uncomfortable situation from travelers.

Solid 3.5/5.0 Great location. Walking distance to central Tropea tourist areas, nice beach immediately nearby, and spectacular seaside views. Hotel itself is solid, with spacious and clean rooms (although cleaning is not offered daily). Staff generally friendly and helpful, although unfortunately one bad incident ended up impacting our experience. The hotel promotes their own restaurant, and on our first night we accepted the suggestion. They were pushing a pre-selected menu, which we had little interest in, but the desk host ensured us a la carte would also be available. When we got there the waiter advised that only the pre-selected menu was practically available because they only had one person working the kitchen and he would struggle to prepare items outside what he was focused on. We were disappointed, but agreed since it was already late and we were kind of trapped there at that point and quite hungry. The food was bad, and we had to leave part-way through, unable to finish it beyond what we needed to eat simply to stem hunger from travels during the day without a meal. We subsequently advised the hotel about the experience. At checkout we were surprised to see we were charged full price for the meal, when we reasonably expected either a full or partial comp given the circumstances. The hotel manager simply said no concession possible. We were stunned at the service given price-point of the hotel, and left with a bad feeling after otherwise solid experience.
