Located in the foothills of Serra da Estrela, 18 Km from Viseu, Casa Das Palmeiras is a farm stay where guests can interact with animals and includes a seasonal biological pool and free WiFi in public areas.
At Casa Das Palmeiras there are two houses available, the House of Oak and House of Barn and each features one bedroom with a double bed and a living room with sofa beds. Each has accommodation for four persons and includes a bathroom.
Each house has a fully equipped kitchen allowing guests self-catering. Alternatively guests can visit Mangualde at an 11-minute drive and enjoy the traditional Portuguese restaurants.
Guests can enjoy activities like cycling, table tennis and darts. A football field and a children’s playground are available. Books and DVDs can be borrowed at the library.

Great place. Always a pleasure coming back. Great for kids and grownups! Bbq is available on site if you want to take advantage of the outdoors. The feeding time of the farm animals is always fun to watch. Take a walk around Gandufe. Nice small village

At Casa das Palmeiras, you feel most welcome right at the start. The check-in is not just a formal exercise, it's the moment where you are warmly greeted and given a first glimpse of the property. The hosts have done a superb job in turning a previous plot of land into a small paradise for plenty of plants and animals in an authentic sustainable place. And while you can definitely spend the time to relax in the nature, you are equally welcome to participate in the different farm activities which take place inside the farm, but also in the region. It's a very nice place for small children as well, since they come into contact with the rural life in ways they are often not used to. For parents who would also like to relax, the possibility to order food from a local restaurant and have it delivered to your door is a big plus. The rooms are nice and spacious. The breakfast is filled with delicious farm products. We can't recommend it enough!

My wife and I were in the area for a quick getaway from the city and found this gem of an experience! Joanna and Mariana were excellent hosts and so were all the animals in the farm :). Would definitely come back again! We had a self tour around their farm, experienced feeding of the animals, saw some traditional carpet making, heard some sheep (at least watched) including milking them for cheese, and ended with some home made jams, cheese from the area, and an all around good time! Extremely kid friendly experience but also fun for adults.

Amazing experience for family and kids at cottage in middle of Portugal with a little farm to join feeding all animals and stay in touch with nature. Wake up in the middle of farm enjoying the sunshine in the trees around nature swimming pool and kindle garden to enjoy with the kids.

We had the pleasure of a day trip to this great venue last week. It was a perfect place for a little one to start to experience nature, learn how to stroke and feed animals. So safe we felt totally free to let him walk and mix with the animals even trying to catch one of the freerange chickens. We took our own picnic and they have some great picnic baskets available too which we will definately do next visit. AND if we can we will stay as the cabins look great as does a dip in the natural pool. Owners were very accommodating and flexible on timing on that day which was great with a very little one. We will be back :)

Desde a interacção com os animais da quinta á paz da piscina biológica, é sem dúvida um sítio a visitar. A simpatia de todas que trabalham lá, as visitas envergonhadas e curiosas dos vario animais que lá habitam e tornam a quinta mais acolhedora do que já parece. Adoramos a nossa estadia e contamos voltar! Obrigada pela experiência.

Fomos com o nosso bebê para ter contacto com os animais e não podia ser melhor. Todos adoramos, principalmente, o nosso pequeno que adorou dar de comer aos animais, de ver os patos a nadar e especialmente do riscas que nos vinha sempre visitar logo pela manhã. Todo o espaço é super calmo, e com vários espaços para as crianças se divertiram. A casa do celeiro era agradável e tinha tudo que era necessário para todos. Adoramos estadia e a simpatia de todos da quinta. A Mariana recebeu nos super bem e teve muita paciência para o pequeno que queria mexer em tudo. Com certeza iremos repetir.

O Manuel foi muito feliz a brincar desde o acordar ao adormecer. É um espaço mágico onde uma criança encontra a brincadeira perfeita a cada metro percorrido. A forma carinhosa como sempre trataram o Manuel também nos fica no coração. Desde dar os bons dias a galinhas, gansos, perus, porcos da india, coelho, cabras…fazer sopa de chocolate na cozinha de lama, andar de baloiço, andar de escorrega, fugir do lobo mau pela casinha das estrelas, ouvir os sapos a “cantar”, dar fiambrinho à tartaruga Ritinha, fazer festinhas ao pónei Oreo, alimentar os animais, apanhar os ovinhos das galinhas, adormecer a fazer festinhas ao Riscas…tudo é pura magia para uma criança de dois anos. Chegou cheio de histórias para contar. Muito obrigada e vamos seguramente voltar à “quinta do Manel”❤️

Fantástica fim de semana super imersivo, cheio de miminhos desde o início ao fim! Ficámos na casa dos Aromas, super espaçosa e com uma sala panorâmica para apreciar a vida na quinta! Super bem equipada e perfeita para a nossa família, bébe de 21 meses e patuda 🐶! Fizemos check in na sexta ao final do dia e 10minutos depois tínhamos a pizza do jantar a bater à porta: DE-LI-CI—O-SAA!! Pequeno-almoço com produtos biológicos e produção própria, feito e preparado com muito carinho! 🥰 A hora de alimentação é uma verdadeira delicia e permite a participação das crianças! Tem uma piscina biológica para refrescar e um espaço ao redor perfeito para relaxar 😎! O parque infantil e o pónei Oreo fizeram as delicias da nossa filha! Vale muita a pena !
