Toledo ist so überlaufen, zumal in der Semana Santa, dass es sich empfiehlt, früh zu buchen. Das Hotel Zentral Mayoral ist ein Haus der zweiten oder dritten, keinesfalls der ersten Wahl. Es ist ziemlich neu, auch gut gelegen, und es funktioniert, keine Frage, aber es wirkt zugleich so wenig einladend, dass man nicht glücklich wird. Besonders das lieblose Frühstück gleicht einer organisierten Ausspeisung. Man ist froh, es hinter sich zu bringen. Die Zimmer sind solide ausgestattet, auch geräumig, aber in ihrem Standard doch nur durchschnittlich. Daran gemessen, sind die Preise zu hoch. Autofahrer werden dankbar sein, Parkplätze und einige hundert Meter weiter die bequemen Rolltreppen in die eigentliche Stadt hinauf zu finden. Auch der Bahnhof ist in Gehweite. Gherardino

The hotel has private parking for 14€. Very convenient location to the escalators leading up to the historic city. There is a restaurant /cafeteria and a buffet breakfast 12€ pp. There are several rooms choices to choose from. We would definitely stay again.

Modern hotel with a good location close to bus termini and the escalators that provide access to the old town. Check in was perfunctory and efficient with smiles and chats reserved for their French speaking coach tour clients. I made a reasonable complaint when checking out regarding the hotel room. The complaint was followed up in writing to the hotel and the booking company. I haven't even received an acknowledgement never mind an apology . The booking company tell me the hotel has failed to engage with them either. This is not a cheap hotel, its a 3* and higher standards would have been expected, particularly regarding room maintenance. Perhaps had the complaint been made in French it would be acted upon.

Stayed 3 nights on a Leger Holidays tour. Room was ok. Had a safe (but it wasn't secured to the wall which makes it a bit pointless really) Mini bar/Fridge and hairdryer. Free air con that packed up on our last morning. Good spread at breakfast and although the restaurant gets crowded there is also an overflow room. The bad points: 1/. The cafe style bar area isn't really big enough for the size of the hotel, although there is a large lounge area adjacent to the Reception desk and entrance I always feel you lose a bit of a**osphere in these such areas. 2/. We couldn't get cold water out of the basin mixer tap or the shower. It was hot water or nothing. 3/. There was an Iron available on request but there appeared to be only one. So if a guest held onto it you had to go without.

I am not a guest at the hotel. This hotel is in a very inconvenient location outside Toledo. It is located in the university area. It was a very hot day (93 degrees fareheit). My husband and I got lost a bit and tried to find our bearing around the area by looking at the map. We saw the hotel next to us. Instead of looking at the map in open air under a hot day, we decided to walk into the hotel lobby to get some cool air while reviewing the map. To our surprise, an angry looking young black hair lady came to us in a very rude tone and asked us if we had a reservation. We told her that we did and we were not guests at the hotel but just want to get our things together. She was outrageous and raised her fingers pointing at us and spoke to us with a Spanish accent 'It is not possible for you to sit here if you are not a guest in a hotel'. She then asked us to leave and she returned to the reception area and started gossiping in Spanish This behavior of her was totally unexpected and unnecessary. It is not a type of normal customer service you would expect from a hotel. I would strongly urge the hotel management to look into the company policy and how their staff is treating potential customers and the public. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone if you have a choice.

Large room with a large king bed and twin. Modern bathroom. What we liked was that we were less than 5 minutes walking to the escalators that take you up to the city. There is a playground 3 minutes away. The breakfast buffet had eggs, cheese, pastries, coffee, juices, breads, jamón, etc. It was a feast.
Also, parking was 10 euro- tight parking spaces- but convenient.
