I booked this hotel through Trip.com, which stated that check-in was available from 14:00 to 06:00 the next day. However, in reality, check-in is only from 15:00 to 20:00, and after 20:00, you have to do a self-check-in. The front desk is closed, and a piece of paper with your name on it is taped to the door.
Later, I had an issue and tried calling the hotel, but no one answered.
My issue? Bed bugs.
I had to urgently find another hotel in the middle of the night and move there by myself at 2 AM.
The next day, when the front desk reopened, I explained the situation and requested a refund. The first thing the staff said was:
“Wow! Really? That’s awful! I can’t believe it!”
Excuse me?
They then told me:
“We’ll process a refund, so the money should be returned to the credit card you originally paid with. If it doesn’t go through, please contact us.”
When I asked for their contact information, they responded:
“You should be able to find it online…”
Unbelievable.
