The Capitol Hotel Thimphu is clean and modern with great amenities. I requested a higher floor room away from the elevator but I got one that is on the 2nd floor and near the elevator. The front desk reception staff told me that the hotel is fully booked that's why iooamy request was not considered. It was about $120 discounted price from trip.com

Very clean and comfortable hotel, breakfast is ok more to western style

為了去看演唱會臨時預訂的酒店，位置離體育館很近，方便極了。工作人員挺友善的，不夠熱還拿了一個電熱扇，多少有點改善。在鐘樓附近，咖啡廳很多。

Nach einer katastrophalen Erfahrung in meinem ersten Hotel Terma Linca habe ich verzweifelt nach einer Lösung gesucht für die nächsten Tage in Thimpu. Vor meiner Check-In habe ich das Hotel mir angesehen und bin dann zu meinem früheren Hotel zurückgegangen um meine Koffer zu holen. Besonders wichtig waren mir gute Matratzen und ein ruhiges Zimmer ohne permanente Hintergrundgeräusche mit den Heizungsgeräten. Positiv Die Zimmer sind neuwertig und sauber, gut ausgestattet, allerdings mit Kunststoffüberzug bei den Möbeln. Die Lage des Zimmers war ruhig und ich habe den Vorteil einer zentralen Lage genießen können. Positiv nur fand ich auch dass ich nicht beim Check-In bezahlen musste wie im ersten Hotel. Besonders erwähnen will ich am zweiten Tag beim Frühstück eine Dame die mich komplett verstanden hat und mir ein sehr gutes Frühstück gemacht hat wegen der geringen Anzahl von Gästen ohne Buffet, Frau Tshering Choden. Negativ Das Frühstück ist eher die Kategorie drei Sterne einzuordnen. Es fehlten Granola, feine Haferflocken und eine kleine Auswahl von Nüssen. In einem guten Hotel geht es nach internationalem Standard nicht dass ein Hotel am Frühstück für den Cappuccino eigens Geld verlangt. Am Frühstück sind immer alle Heißgetränke in unbeschränkter Anzahl in dem Preis für das Frühstück inkludiert. Insgesamt kann ich das Hotel empfehlen.

I recently returned from a 2 week trip to Bhutan which took me from Paro to Bumthang and back. During the 2 weeks I stayed at approximately 12 different hotels. By far, the most comfortable stay I experienced was at The Capital Hotel in Thimphu. The Capital is a 4 star hotel conveniently located in the center of Thimphu and is within walking distance of all the shops and major attractions. The rooms were extremely spacious and the pillows were the most comfortable I have ever laid my head upon. The hotel also provides a buffet style breakfast that will meet everyone’s needs. I highly recommend this hotel and I am sure everyone will find it a pleasant and convenient place to stay in central Thimphu.

Arrived to the hotel with an organized tour and I only have superlatives. Room was nice and tidy, very clean and well equipped. We had a huge bed, and ample space for our things. Supper was OK, nothing extraordinary by local standards. So was the breakfast the next day. Staff was very polite and accomodating.

This was our favourite hotel that we stayed in on our Bhutan trip. It looks new and was very clean. The rooms are large and modern and the bathroom was large too. Shower pressure was great. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. The restaurant is very good as well - we had a la carte as there was not many people staying at the hotel so the buffet was not available (we prefer a la carte so this was good!).

I have been staying at Hotel Capital every time I visit Thimphu over the last two years, and it has always been a great experience. The location is super convenient, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. The rooms are clean, cozy, and comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax after a long day. They’ve consistently provided excellent service, which is why I keep coming back. I highly recommend Hotel Capital to anyone visiting Thimphu!

Great hotel, perfect location in the heart of the city. Very good facilities - big room and huge shower. Above all, as everywhere in Bhutan - wonderful helpful and smiling staff. Thank you for everything we enjoyed our stay so much. Cant wait to come again.

The tour group my husband & I took in early October stayed here at The Capital Hotel. Both times our stay was very nice, staff was very friendly, wonderful cinnamon tea served upon arrival each time. Everything was in good order although there was some confusion about meals in the dining room as there was also another, larger tour at the same time that took up lots of the staff's time. But in general, it was a very nice place to stay and within walking distance of several key tourist locations: The Farmers Market, the Postal Museum, The Textile Museum ...

Best place to stay at thimphu The room is clean, spacious, and very comfortable.. The staff are all helpful and taking a good care of us. Thimpu is a great place to have your holiday and capital hotel make it even nicer. We enjoy our stay, thank you,

Absolutely lovely staff, location and facilities! One less star cause there was a slight water issue on one day, but staff worked hard to resolve it! The food was pretty good too and the front desk gave some great recommendations for sightseeing
