The location is very good, close to many eating places! There are many hotpot places nearby for dinner and dessert places for post dinner/supper snacks Room had a buzzing sound and the location is above a karaoke. The issues are known to the management as they provide earplugs. No fridge but seven-eleven is nearby

The cleanliness can be improved, there were stains on the bedsheet and the room was quite dusty. The room doesn’t comes with hand soap too.. bathroom hygiene can also be improved. But love the hotel receptionist and location.

Location is very good a lot of food around the hotel . Hotel staff is very friendly as well .

Cosy room ! Good for short stay !

Having a night stay with my friend and it was a terrible experience with this hotel. Firstly was bedsheet not clean and had feedback to the staff but the staff just mentioned there no spare room to change and offered us to change our bedsheet if we want. Secondly and it is worse experience which I ever had was the water pressure. We need fight with our neighbours on the showering as the water pressure was super low. Called the staff and the staff's answer was not able to help. Good luck to people wish or to plan to stay here.

Hako is located at the heart of Mount Austin where there are plenty of choices for food, massage, ktv, etc. For shopping, will need to travel out to malls. It is not a big hotel but has the basics. As it is situated above a ktv so sometimes can hear the music or singing. The walls are also quite thin so can hear kids crying/shouting next door for example. Try to the get the bigger room on the top level to have more peace.

Location was at the heart of Mount Austin with a lot of F&B and recreation around. Hotel lobby looks aesthetically perfect, cool and nice deco however the room was pretty much not to any expectation. It looks like a budgeted hotel with areas feeling dustry, including the carpentry and the aircon vent. Tables have running ants that suspectedly coming out from the power socket. Wouldnt really worth paying $80 SGD to stay there. There are other hotels more worth it.

This is a simple hotel in right in Mt Austin. The hotel itself is fairly simple but good value for money. Hotel staff seemed quite absent but for this price I think you can't expect much more.

Was here to spend a night and explore this area of Johor Bahru. I would say this is really a happening area with lots of restaurants and cafes that you can visit. This hotel is one of the available options around this area, and it is located on the 1st floor of the building. So when you are here for the first time, do take the lift up from the ground floor. I gotten the solo room and there's no window view. But is okay for me as I prefer a much darker room with minimal lights. The bed was comfortable with only one pillow provided. Air-conditioning was fine for me and I can get the temperature I want. The toilet was a bit cramp as they put all toilet, basin and shower in one room. The heater take some time to get the warm water. They provided complimentary breakfast at the lobby, but don't expect decent breakfast items. They only provide bread for toast, egg, instant noodle and biscuit. So I would recommend you to go out and explore the area. There's a few restaurants open as early as 7:30am to provide breakfast menu.

After few times staying at this hotel only today that i know that they have light breakfast served at the hotel lobby. The resection should tell the guests what is included in this room package and don’t assume all people’s know about this. Or the staff doesn’t want the guest to know and will give more job for them to do the clearing. Most of the resection not so friendly. Room aircon not cold and can see the aircon filter so dusty and never do the cleaning service. Overall just ok not the best hotel!

When I made the booking on *********** it did not mention the room would not have a window. The hotel receptionist asked to pay MYR10 to upgrade if I wanted a window. I was annoyed but I still paid for it since I felt claustrophobic ! When I got to the room, the room was in extremely dirty condition filled with dusts and hairs on the floor from previous guests. I spent a good 20 minutes cleaning the room with my own disinfectant spray and wet wipes. There were spider nets as well as though no one stayed in the room for a very long time. The corridor also had strange smell - almost sure that it was salted fish. The hotel is located above a karaoke so there’re constant loud noises. The room rate was close to MYR250 per night, which I think it was a total rip-off. If it wasn’t because I had to visit family staying near this hotel, I would never pick this hotel that is so poorly maintained. Strongly discourage anyone to stay at this place. Avoid at all costs.

Hako Hotel is located quite centrally in the Mt Austin area and surrounded by lots of food and activities. However, maintenance and housekeeping wasn't up to standard. Wallpapers were peeling, toilet door handle loose, hair from previous guest on the toilet bowl etc. The wifi also seems to have many blacklisted sites as even sites like ChannelNewsAsia, Agoda, Tripadvisor etc seems to be blocked by their wifi.
