Als ich zum ersten Mal eincheckte, arrangierte das Hotelpersonal, dass ich in der oberen Koje übernachtete Aber nachdem ich mir das Zimmer angesehen hatte, wurde mir gesagt, dass das obere Bett das Hinabsteigen der Treppe erforderte. Ich hatte Angst, dass ich beim Treppenauf- und -absteigen stürzen könnte. Das Bett wurde noch nicht benutzt. Das Hotelpersonal sagte, ich sei bereits hochgeklettert, um nachzusehen, also wurde das Bett nicht gewechselt und es lag überhaupt nicht sauber Haare im Spalt am Kopfende wurden auch nicht gereinigt  In dieser Situation weigerte sich das Hotel auch, mich zu wechseln und sagte, wenn ich darauf bestehe, zu Sharp zu wechseln, würden sie mir weitere 300 Reinigungsgebühren in Rechnung stellen. Die Einstellung des Managers und der Mitarbeiter dieses Ladens ist so schlecht, dass ich nicht noch einmal dort übernachten möchte.

Die Bettwäsche wurde nicht gewechselt und war sehr schmutzig. Das Zimmer roch sehr stark. Sehr schlechte Erfahrung

I had an amazing stay at this hostel! Even though it was a shared room, it was incredibly comfortable. The rooms were spotless, and the staff were accommodating and always ready to help. The atmosphere made the experience even better. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Taipei!

Our stay at Meander Taipei during New Year's Eve was absolutely delightful! The helpful staff, English-speaking environment, and inviting atmosphere make Meander Taipei an excellent choice for anyone visiting Taipei, especially during special occasions like New Year's Eve. Highly recommended for both solo travelers and groups looking for a comfortable and sociable accommodation option.

I would definitely stay here again, it’s near Ximending and the staff helped me booked uber when I checked out. Very helpful ☺️

Could state the amenities so we know what to prepare; but overall is good

The price jumps up unreasonably on weekends, and the place seems to be overrun with "digital nomad" types just lounging around. Stayed here before (and had fond memories), but left early after two nights of disturbed, unrestful "sleep"...possibly the worst pillow I have ever encountered. Maybe I've aged out of the "hostel" option, but this place definitely seems to have lost a bit of its magic / you can get a decent hotel for near the same price.

It's a chill place. It's about 15min away from the nearest MRT station and buses are pretty convenient to get around. Another 20mins away from Dadocheng night container market.

I think this hostel is good backpacker, good value, good location, but you might need that extra luck to make it a comfortable stay. I stayed in this hostel for two times, one in November 2024, and this time in February 2025. The last one was a good one, very good value for money, so I decided to stay in this hostel again, which turned out to be a less enjoyable one.  During my second stay, there are roommates who turned off the Air-conditioner and close the windows. I tried to turn on the air conditioner, and the roommate turned it off afterwards, and because I got problem inhaling fresh air so I woke up in the night and turned the AC back on, the roommate turned it off again… so this situation repeated for 3 times. I gave up and go to bed anyway, trying to avoid potential conflict. I reported to the hostel and requested for a change of room, but there were no room available for change, the hostel replied they will talk to the roommate and put a note to settle the situation. I ended up leaving the hostel that day and moved to another proper hotel, hotel papa whale. I originally paid for 3 nights in Meander Taipei, but I only spent one night and didn’t want to experience another night switching on and off for the air con.  I also stayed in Meander 1948 in 2025 January, it was a very comfortable stay and the Air Conditioner was always on. I hope there will be some sort of arrangement to settle, not just leaving the roommates to decide whether to turn on or off by personal choice, as there are 4 people in one room, it gotta be different opinions. I understand the price is cheap, but there is also a reason, and this time I just happened to experience.

Very noisy street, narrow 6-bed dorm, lobby not very social. Was not impressed.

the check-in process was efficient and seamless and the lady at the front desk introduced the facilities well! i love the social space on the first floor of the room that gave travellers the opportunity to bond with one another! the facilities were also really clean, and i had a really comfortable shower and sleep during my night there! would love to be back if i'm ever travelling taipei again :D

The staff and common room were the highlight of the trip. They have an excellent open space and a decent rooftop. Would recommend and stay again.
