I had high expectations of Capella Sydney after staying multiple times at Capella Bangkok and being treated as though I were the most important person in the hotel, just like all of the other guest who stay there are. The attention to service detail at Sydney location unfortunately failed very short to meet my expectations. The booking process on the website was glitchy and the pricing was inconsistent, sometimes showing pricing including tax sometimes not without indication and only upon receiving confirmation via email from reservations was the price confirmed, which did not match the screenshots of the reservation when I placed the booking so I had to go back and forth with reservations via phone and email to simply confirm the accurate pricing for my stay. After creating an account to log on to their booking platform although the option of modifying the booking was offered, the feature did not work on the site, so you had to cancel the booking and book a new booking if you simply wanted to extend by 1 day. This is before I even arrived at the hotel. When I did arrive, it is of course, no small feat that the restoration of this historic building was carried out with the utmost respect for the architecture, from the flooring material to the fenestration and even the internal grand stair way was brilliantly retro-fitted with current code requirements for the handrail in a historically appropriate yet contemporary solution. The hotel does not have many floors, so I encourage anyone to take the stairs to experience the beauty of the restoration work. The recognition of the strong identity of the urban location and sense of place in Sydney’s CBD offers us a promise, an encounter, as the space of the possible. I wish I could say the same about the interior design. There was a real disconnect between the intent of the architecture and that of the interior design. The decoration at best seemed vague, and so for the guest experience, how could one of have a point of view about the effect of the design? The space of the expectant “possible” relationship I was expecting from the simple activity of stepping into Farrer Place’s south entryway marked Department of Agriculture, as local stories interpreting colonial history with ancestral elements of the Eora people by Waayni artist Judy Watso unfolded, or the sense of expansive freedom through the bronze Palazzo doors on Loftus Street into the latent quiet luxury of the grand stair was lost when I was met with the contrasting designs and colours of the lift lobby vestibule axminster carpet and that of the corridor carpet to the guest rooms, able to be seen in the same frame. Ich hatte einen speziellen Preis, in einer „downtime“ für die Gastfreundschaftsindustrie. Das war ein erster Besuch: Das Hotel erfüllte meine Qualitätserwartungen, insbesondere für einen Budget Traveler.

This is one of the most luxurious hostels you could stay in. It is beautifully designed, but in the dormitories they will never look like the photos unless you are the only one in there (or the other people staying in there are really tidy with their possessions!). This is the definition of the meme: expectation vs reality. The private room is incredible, it felt like a hotel room - just without an ensuite. Breakfast was fine, but disappointing. Beggars can't be choosers; but, why was there no fruit? Your options were tea and coffee, toast and cereal - that was about it. That staff were competent and helpful regarding matters of admin, but not as friendly and chatty as other hostels I have stayed in. Cleaning could be improved. Down the side of my dorm bed there were used Cotton Buds, tissues, and other detritus which was not pleasant when checking nothing had fallen down the side of my bed before checking out. The Goki experience was unique and modern, somewhat of a fan of that over keycards or keys. Overall pretty good, but don't expect the most social experience - if you are a solo traveller after making friends, there are better hostels I would recommend over this one. If you are travelling as a couple or with friends, this would be great.

We recently stayed at a hotel that perfectly suited our family needs! Located right in the heart of the CBD, it was close to everywhere we needed to be. The nearby supermarket and restaurants made dining and shopping convenient. The staff were incredibly helpful especially Sir Jandro, the hotel manager and Ms Arglie, ensuring our stay was comfortable and enjoyable. I highly recommend it for anyone looking for a centrally located hotel with excellent service!!

Everything went well. We were provided with the twin bed room as specified in our booking, with no unexpected surprises like being given a king bed, which we did not want.. Stayed for 3 nights. Amenities were of good quality. Service was not bad, was attended to immediately at the entrance by the bell boy who handed our luggages with enthusiasm. Was also allowed early checked in as our room was ready when we arrived.

We stayed for two nights at the end of May. Our room was quiet & clean even if in need of a refurbish, which presumably, going by the building works going on, is in progress. The building works didn't impinge on our stay at all. Our breakfast (which was included in our room rate), was surprisingly good. The area it was served in was very clean and bright. We found all the staff to be pleasant. Being able to checkin & checkout on line made things move quicker, especially the checkout. The cost of accommodation in the city is very high so we were pleased that Song Hotel was a bit more affordable to us.

Ich bin alleine gereist und habe das Hostel für meinen 4-tägigen Aufenthalt in Sydney gewählt. Die Lage ist großartig!!! 20 Minuten mit dem Zug vom Flughafen entfernt, viele Bahn- und Bushaltestellen in der Umgebung. Das Frühstück ist nicht so toll, Joghurt, Müsli, Croissants, Muffins, Toast, einige Dosenfrüchte, Tee, Kaffee (12 $). In diesem Hostel ist etwas passiert, was mir noch nie passiert ist. Ich habe einige meiner Klamotten auf dem Bett liegen lassen, der Keep Housing hat meine Bettwäsche gewechselt und meine Klamotten weggenommen. Obwohl ich noch 2 Nächte hatte. Die beste Entscheidung (das haben sie gesagt) war, dass sie mir einen Gutschein für das Frühstück gegeben haben, lmao!!!! Ich bin immer wieder gekommen und habe gefragt, ob sie meine Klamotten gefunden haben, aber sie haben sie nicht gefunden und am letzten Tag, als ich schon abreiste, sagten sie, okay, wir können die Polizei rufen, wenn ich dieses Problem lösen will. Das ist lächerlich! 2 Tage lang haben sie nichts getan, jedes Mal, wenn ich zur Rezeption kam, waren andere Mitarbeiter da und es war ziemlich schwierig, einen Manager zu finden! Wenn Sie sich also entscheiden, hier zu bleiben, lassen Sie alle Ihre Sachen im Schließfach. Das Vorhängeschloss kostet 6 $. Es gibt Waschmaschinen und Trockner, die ich nicht benutzt habe, aber soweit ich mich erinnere, etwa 8 $. Die Kakerlake war auf Küchenhöhe, so groß wie mein Daumen.

Ich war an der australischen Fashion Week teilnehmen und suchte nach einem Ort, wo ich wohnen würde, das wäre bequem. Ich suchte nicht nach Studenten-Typ-Unterkunft Adina war die naheste zu Cariageworks und wirklich überrascht mich. Ich habe nie jemanden meine Taschen in mein Zimmer in Australien nehmen! Ich bot einen Tipp und sie würden nicht akzeptieren. Das Zimmer war unverschämt, ich fühlte mich als die erste Person, die es verwendet. Ich fand das Zimmer sehr ruhig, obwohl es den Pool übersehen. Ich habe gesagt, ich trinke kein Wasser aus dem Tapete und als ich zurückkam, gab es drei Tinten noch Wasser auf der Küchentisch. Ich kann Adina nicht hoch genug bewerten. Glückwunsch werde ich zurück sein !

Während meiner kürzlich nach Sydney gefahrenen Reise war mein Gepäck verzögert und dann wurde ich für ein paar Tage krank. Die Mitarbeiter am Blick, insbesondere Daniel am Frontdesk, waren besonders gratulierend und hilfreich. Sie gingen aus ihrem Weg, um sicherzustellen, dass ich das gefunden habe, was ich brauchte.

Check in was easy. Staff were friendly. Room was clean and comfortable. Location was convenient having Green Sq station literally 2 mins walking distance, making it an easy commute to the city. The 24 hr coffee bar was a real highlight. Would definitely recommend to friends.
